I LOVE this diet! I just finished week 3 and am down 7 lbs. You aim for 2 lbs a week on this diet, so it is working so far for me perfectly. Very, very easy to do once you get the basic timing and portion sizes down. ABSOLUTELY something I could do for life. NOTHING is restricted on this diet. Everything is allowed in moderation. It is basically a nutrition course relabeled as a diet. The 3-Hour rule is based on speeding up your metabolism.
