Park tour even if you already have been there it's really cool.They tell you little things you probably would not of know, plus you get to walk on the MONSTA. HAHAHA. Also have some real clam chowda.

Today is the day!

It has been a crazy last two days, but I figured I'd make some time to update you guys.

I'm still not packed. I have all of my stuff that I am planning to bring in a GIGANTIC pile on my suitcase, I just now need to get it in there.

We have to leave for our flight at 1:30. I have a staff meeting, eyebrow wax appointment & to pack all in that time. Should be interesting.

One freak out moment so far. It's actually still not resolved but I've just put it on the back burner until I get to Fl. I don't have a reciept, confirmation number, e-mail scribble, doodle, nothing about my purchase of our park tickets. The only thing I can find is a copy of my cc bill with the charge on it. I have no clue what happened. That's so not like me to not have printed it out. I've searched everywhere. I'm praying that they will still give me our tickets without it at will call. At least one other person must have lost their ticket confirmation, right??? I mean it's Disney, I'm sure they'll have a way of knowing that I did purchase them.

Ok, well that's it for now. I will update as I get time. This is gonna be the wierdest ptr. It's like a live trip report, with a side of pre-trip report.

Well, I made it to Florida.

With all the terror alerts going on in NY, we decided to get to the airport a little early. It ended up not being necessary, but nice to get there & just have time to relax & think. Our flight was pretty uneventful. We fly Jetblue, so that's always nice. My mom & I didn't get to sit next to each other, which was fine. I was sat next to an elderly lady. It was fine until she started doing the weirdest thing. Actually it was gross. Keep in mind I was wearing flip flops. She picked animal crackers & began to eat them. No big deal until she started taking pieces of the animal crackers out of her mouth & began to throw them on the floor... in front of me! I had to put my feet back under my own seat to prevent getting hit by the mushy half eaten animal crackers. So gross! Then they were all over the floor in front of my seat, so when I went to pull my backpack out from under the seat in front of me, it had to be dragged over the half-eaten animal crackers!! Ewwww. I was so disgusted. Meanwhile my mom was laughing the whole time from her seat- at my expense. Thanks.

It was kind of sad to arrive at MCO & not go on ME- it's one of my favorite parts of my disney vacation. Oh, well.

We picked up the car & made here in Ocala. Pretty uneventful. We headed out shopping for some food. Tomorrow we head out to Tampa at 7:30am & should be back to Ocala by 2pm. I'll have my mom's netbook, so I'll have internet throughout all the waiting room & driving times, which will help.

As for the ptr side of this post:

This week I still need to:
1. figure out my ticket situation
2. pre-order my photopass cd & the book
3. cancel my Akershus reservation - we all kind of had mixed feelings, so we're gonna pass on it this trip.

That's all I can think of but I know there's more.

I took some before & after pictures of my packing fiasco this morning & also my poor little Rocky when she first spotted the suitcase. Poor thing. I didn't take any other pics today, 'cause I'm still try to grasp I'm in Fl. Needless to say I'm still not in the full trip report swing of things.

Another day closer to WDW.

Today was an early morning to bring my Uncle to tampa. He had two doctors appointments. They went quick & we ended up home by 1pm. We had some lunch & headed to the pool for the afternoon. Can I just say it is HOT & HUMID here! It was 85 at 8:30pm last night! The lovebugs are here but not bad. They were annoying when I was sunbathing, but that's all they are is annoying.

After the pool we headed back & made some dinner for my fam then we headed to walmart for some groceries for the fam. Can I just say I LOVE Florida walmarts... they're so clean, organized & big. Not anything like ours back home in NY. I won't even shop at our local wm. That was really it today. Pretty boring for you guys I know.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day. My Uncle has a 5 hour chemo treatment & only one family member can go in. It's gonna be a long day. Luckily there is a nice shopping plaza across the way with a Target among other things. So the plan is to drop them off, then my mom & I will spend the day doing our "trip supplies" shopping. We'll also be getting out haircut in that plaza. God help us! We had hair appointments at our salon at home, but because of our last minute change we didn't have time to go. I'm just getting a trim so it shouldn't be hard to do, but my mom has short hair, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

On the ptr side of things:
I went ahead and pre-ordered the photopass cd. I was going to do the photobook as well, but I backed out. $70 just seemed like a lot for a photobook. I can always add it on later.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

I'm so excited to hear about how you it is at BWV (and if you get a refurbed room), see what you ate at F&W fest and more importantly, see some pictures from your trip. You plan to do a TR, right??? Yes, I'm going to be doing a TR, but it will be live. Then when I get my photopass cd, I'll update the rest of my pics. I'm thinking there is a good chance I'll get a refurbished room, 'cause my wait list never came through. In 12 days I'll be in three different rooms at BWV. Oh, well, at least I'm there the whole time.

My mom's reaction was great. I totally shocked her, so you're right it was still nice to see her reaction. Plus, she's gonna be really blown away for her birthday.

You're gonna be amazed how fast those three weeks are gonna go by. It's gonna go quick!

Well, yesterday was quite the day. We had a 12 hour day. We left the house at 7:30am & got home at 7:35pm. My uncle had to undergo a five hour chemo treatment, among other things. Today was supposed to be just a laid back cooking day, but we ended up having to come to to Tampa for a third day in a row. It was supposed to be just a 30 minute appoinment but we just found out that it is now going to be another 3 hours. Needless to say it's been a long three days.

On a VERY positive note, my uncle is doing better. He has been sleeping through the night, which has helped him a lot, which helps my aunt even more. I am so glad that my mom & I could be here with them.

As for the trip:

Today is the day! F&W officially started. While I'm sitting here in the waiting room I've been screening the boards like crazy for all the info I can get. I am so excited. My mom & I decided that we're not going to be able to wait to enjoy some of the booths, so we will be going to F&W right at 11am on Monday & then plan to get to ESPN Club for an early dinner, hopefully the wait won't be too bad. It will be Monday night football, but if we go say 4:30 - 5:30 it will be way too early for the game.

I found a post by a wonderful DISer who went arround yesterday at the preview & took pictures of all the menues which included prices. There are alot of repeats that I'm looking forward to, like the salmon from canada, as well as new ones, like the fisherman's pie. Yum! I will post the pics of the menus on the next post, so you guys can take a look if you'd like.

I am so excited!!! It still isn't hitting us that we will be in WDW on Mon. We keep looking at each other saying, "We're gonna be in WDW on Monday." Oh, I can't wait!!

I’m leaving in 8 hours!!! ​

This is my last official ptr update & I am soooooo excited! I can’t believe how quick it all went by. Add to the excitement that The Goonies is on! I love that movie! Heeey yooooou guuuuyyys!! It’s really just a great night all together.

Well, my Uncle is doing much better than when we first arrived. He started to sleep thru the night and then on Friday they gave him a blood transfusion which really helped him with his energy, etc. So I am so thrilled to be leaving him better than when we came. Especially the fact that we’re leaving him to go to WDW. A little guilty. My Aunt is still not handling this well. The poor thing over dosed him on Oxycontin. She felt so bad, but we tried to assure her that he probably didn’t mind. He was as high as a kite! There doing good though, so I know we’ll feel ok leaving them. Especially since we left them with a freezer full of food & there son is coming in a little less than a week.

Here’s a great pic of my mom in one of the many waiting rooms we saw this week. I had her playing Tetris on her netbook. She hasn’t played for years & it was hysterical. The whole waiting room was laughing at her. It was great & helped the time go by.




I just wanted to also say thank you guys for all the well-wishes for my family. I really appreciate it.

Now, on to the fun stuff!

We leave tomorrow morning & I feel like I’m forgetting 3 million things!

Today we had our manicures & pedicures. That was very nice & relaxing. I really like the place we went to & wish we had one like it back in NY. I also repacked my suitcase & made sure I had picked up all my missing items needed. I hope I remembered them all.

I printed my little spreadsheet & an extra copy just in case. All my electronics are charges. My mickey backpack is packed. I think I’ve done it all. Although, I did forget a home depot stop for the mickey head paint chip for my backpack. Oh, well.

Also, yesterday I had time alone at the house to wrap my mom’s souvenir that I’m surprising her with. (remember the nurse minnie) I had totally forgotten about it at home & didn’t think to wrap it. So when I got a few moments alone, I searched the house for wrapping paper. I could only find one roll & it was christmas. So I wrapped it inside out. I couldn’t find any bows or anything so I was pretty bummed. It’s now just a white box. Then I remembered my aunt keeps HUNDREDS of those orlando attraction pamphlets, you know the ones all the hotel lobbies have. Well, she had quite a few disney ones, so I got my scrapbooking self in the mode & cut & pasted away like it was to save my life. It turned out great! I am so excited. I’m thinking I’m going to have it on the counter by the coffee pot tomorrow & have her open it before we leave. One less thing to carry to WDW. My aunt will send it for us.

As for tomorrow. We plan to leave around 7:30am. I want to be checked in & the car returned to the Swan/Dolphin by 9am. Our plan tomorrow is pretty insane, so I’ll be interested to see if we end up sticking to it. Tomorrow is going to be 93 degrees, it is evening extra magic hours at epcot & we’re planning to go to Epcot tomorrow for some F&W booths. Are we nuts?! We’re not going to even have an appetite 'cause of the heat, but we’re determined. We’ll see how it goes.

That’s all I can think of right now... the goonies is pretty distracting right now... I feel like I’m eight. Focus Lisa.

In a little bit I’m going to start the live tr in the tr board. I still have no idea what I’m titeling it. I’m not very creative, so it will probably more straight forward & to the point, rather than cute & clever. Once I do that I'll head back over here & post it. Also, I’ll post anything I’m forgetting, because I’m sure there’s a lot. I would have liked to feel a little more confident about my plans & having everything done. Oh, well.
