we are currently booked for a 7 night/8 day trip to WDW this summer. I am toying with the idea of adding a couple of nights. It would only cost $350 to stay 2 more nights with the tickets and dining plan (plus the fee from the airline to change our tickets).

We have been there three times before for 8 days each but for some reason I have the "stay longer" bug this time! Does anybody ever get "tired" of being there after a while? Is 10 days overkill? (two of those days are travel days but we would arrive in Orlando at 11:30 AM and our departing flight would leave at 5:45 PM).

I would appreciate any advice you would pass on. Oh and it is my 9 year old daughter and I going although we are meeting some friends down there for a week.

Definately extend, especially since you are meeting others for part of your trip. You will appreciate the time to do "what you want to do". We always stay at least 10 nights. Once we were gone for 17 days. I didn't so much get tired of WDW as I was starting to miss home. If my job, my cats, and all my friends would move to WDW I'd never have to come home

I would definitely extend a couple of nights if you can do it. The longest we have ever gone was 8 nights, and we always wish we could have one or two more days, especially if the price was right. Maybe next time! Whatever you do, have a great time.

We are going for 8 nights/9 days here in about 2 weeks. This will be our longest trip and I am real excited about it!!! :yay:

DO IT!!! Our last trip was 10 days and it was barely enough!
We are doing 12 days in May-June. Don't delay, do it!! :thumbsup2

I agree, we went for 10 nights last time, two of which were travel days, and it was barely enough. This time we can only get 9 nights, due to airline schedules and our schedules, and I'm beginning to panic that we won't get as much in as last trip!

We always like to have a down day and a day for Universal/IOA....my girls like a shopping day also....one of them is going to have to go (I'm thinking shopping..ha)....

Anyway, I am sure we will figure it out, and no matter, will still be a blast!

We normally do 9 nights and we have been to WDW many times before. It gives us that extra time for the pool, a relax day, allows for a rain day, gives us time for a water park day, etc. I like to stay alittle longer and take my time and not be so rushed. This year we are doing 7 nights at WDW, then moving over to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal for the last two nights.

Of course stay longer!

We just returned from a 9 night stay and when we got back we were discussing all the things that we never got around to doing and seeing. You can blitz thru the parks and get it all done in a couple of days or you can take the time and enjoy all the things disney has to offer. The latter would probably take about 20 days.

Any extra time at WDW in my opinion is time well spent. Add on immediately and have a great trip. :moped:

10 nights is perfect - we've had past trips begin at 5 days and "work" their way up to 7, 8, 9 nights!

One trip started out as 4 nights, but ended up being 15!

i say extend as long as you can. that way you can take your time and enjoy the little things that you may normally overlook. do a shopping day in DTD, take a day and visit the lovely hotels (one of my favorite things to do), play a game of mini-golf, ride the monorail circuit over and over, repeat your favorite things, well, you get the idea. just RELAX. i think you will be mad at yourself if you don't. enjoy. :yay:

I envy all of you that can stay soooooooooo long. What I wouldn't give for a really long trip. It just doesn't work for us. But, we are going at the end of APr for 4 nights and just added one more night at the Poly. So now we will have almost 6 days (arrive really early and leave really late). I am just thrilled to be able to do this. I would do longer but 2 older DS's cannot miss that much school and neither can I -I am a teacher. The way I figure it is this "Any day in Disney is better than a day not" so I will be happy with my 6 days and just be envious of all you "lucky long stayers"!!!!

Hmmmmm.....Have fun for 10 days or only 8......hmmmmmmmm.............what to do? what to do?.....................

We did 7 nights/8 days the 1st time and it was too short so we are doing 9 nights/10 days this time. We basically lose the 1st and last day to travel + time change coming from the west coast. I would still do 10 days if you can. More time = More Relaxing. Less Time = More Rushing.

Definitely go 10 if you can. Leaves extra time to catch things (i.e. parades, shows) if it rains or someone feels tired/ill. Have a great time!

Thanks everyone! I knew what I wanted to do all along!!!!

I made the changes yesterday and can now officially say we have a 10 day trip planned! now to find two more restaraunts to eat at....gotta love the dining plan!
