Leaving from Metropark, NJ on Xmas day via AMTRAK to DC, then transferring to an overnight train. Anyone have any feedback (good or bad)? Its our 1st long train trip (wife wont fly post 9/11).........6 yr old son is looking forward to it. I'm packing the portable DVD player, and lots of magazines, snacks, etc.. How are the overnight trains? And for that matter, how are the 3 hr coach trains? How is the food?
