Jeff I'm so very excited that you are writing a trip report! I enjoy looking at your pictures everyday on the PoTD thread so I'm excited to read the stories that go along with them. I hope you have a wonderful trip, can't believe we are missing each other by 1 day!! Have a great time!!!!
Jeff - how awesome! A live trip report with your pics will be the best!! Can't wait to experience it! I love the pic of your wife; her expression is priceless!
We are not going to MNSSHP that night. I'm actually due at the Poly at 7:00 for a meet with the DISappearing Peeps (weight loss support thread). We'll be watching Hallowishes from the Poly beach after eating at Kona. We're doing MNSSHP on 10/4.
Well first off- Thanks all who have subscribed and commented- I really appreciate all the kind words. I uploaded a couple dozen of the 300+ pictures I took today. I hope you enjoy the trip.
Today started off as planned- we wanted to get over to the hotel for an early check in and get organized before we really tackled the day. The girls were excited when we rolled out a little before 11:00.
We ran into a little rain along the way- already thinking its a good thing we brought along some ponchos.
The plan- which we pretty much stuck to- was to get to the Magic Kingdom by around 6:00 and stay thru the Extra Magic Hours until around 11:00. After stopping to get the kids some lunch we made it to Disney- the weather was clear for the moment.
Made it to Coronado Springs and got to our room. Happy its on the first floor near the main pool. The girls wanted to go for a swim while Mom unpacked so we gave it a try- unfortunately the pool was closed due to storms in the area. Was not raining and could not hear any thunder but Disney knows best. We were ran out of the playground as well- apparently the only safe place anywhere near the pool was the bar- since the CMs were not running anyone out of there.
So I convinced the girls to take a little nap before we went to MK- that way they would be rested up for the Extra Magic Hours. I decided to keep an eye on the storm.
BTMR was too dark/fast for many pictures- but Lauren was a trooper on it. She always loves the Barnstormer so I figured she would like this as well. Both the girls are becoming quite the little roller coaster fans.
A few night pictures on the way back across the park- no tripod so I did the best I could.
Since Toon Town was closed we hopped on the Teacups
They wanted to play around Pooh's playground for a bit-
Then we went to Small World
My favorite part of this ride...
Peter Pan had a 30 Min wait at 10:00 so we decided to save it for when we can get a fast pass. We decided to hit SM on the way out instead- Lauren & Kelly sat this one out.
