8 day hopper...HELP...Canadians????

I went to flight center last week and told them I wanted the 8 day hopper that was listed on their website. They knew what I was talkin about as they had seen it in their reservation system the day before. But they then had issues and could no longer find it in their reservation system. So after a few phone calls they let us pay for the 8 day hoppers an then issued us two vouchers. One for a five day, and the other a three. Yes that means we have to go redeem our vouchers twice during the trip, but the benifit is that we get two magic mornings.

If the 8 day hoppers are still listed online maybe they can do the same for you. But I really hope they don't do away with the 8 day passes. I like others here am not exactly local and can go any time we want. I like to maximize my time when I'm down there.
...likely I am too late, they are not online as of yesterday. I don't have a local agency just by phone,

Turned out well for you though , two redemptions would be worth the two magic mornings IMhO

So I am in the same position...until I read this thread I thought the 8 day hopper was still available. We are headed down for 10 days this fall and the 8 day hopper would have suited us perfect.

Now what the heck to do? The most they offer is the 5 day hopper. I don't know enough about adding days and what not. Are we still going to be able to add days at the gate and will there be a limit to how many days we can add? Does anyone know where I can find this information? Ugh...this is so frustrating!! We are not going until November but had I known I would have bought the passes last week!:headache:

...likely I will wait now. The whole reason I waited was to not buy non refundable tickets so far away from our trip, just in case.
There is no panic now , what is done is done. But possibly if I wait there may be a ticket promo?? Wishful thinking? When has the five for three usually run?

The 5 for 3 has generally run in the past for fall, winter and spring (with the exceptions of xmas, spring break, etc.), no way to know if they will offer these again with all the changes. They do still have the 8 day, 1 park per day for $220/$201. Not as good, but it is an option.

..big hoppers , would not be a good fit for us.

Guess I can keep my fingers crossed we are not going until end of September, hopefully something will surface.

5 day hoppers should be $224/adult, $206/child. If you are looking at 8 day 1 park/day, they are $220 and $201. If they come back in the system tomorrow I will post a thread:)

Does anyone know if you could add the hopper option to these at the gate? If so, that may be an option OP.

OH gees! I just looked online and yes you are right. They only have up to five day. Maybe some day our 7-8 day tickets will come back.

How does flight center work....do they email you a voucher and you redeem the voucher at the gates?

Has anyone had good OR bad luck with this?

Well for me I have always gone down to the agency and spoken with someone face to face. I pay however I want, debit, credit or cash for the passes in their office right then and there. Either later that day or the day after they call you to tell you that your vouchers are confirmed and are ready to be picked up.

Those vouchers you take to Disneyland's ticket booths along with your ID, as the person who paid for the tickets needs to be there, and they hand you over your pass. Very very simple. :thumbsup2

Flight Center is also great when it comes to Disney dining. You can pay for your dining vouchers with them as well. But you dont redeem those dining vouchers until you actually get to the restaurant.

Lots of people seemt o use flight center, however I see they are charging $5 more per person for the 5 day park hopper and $24/adult and $21/child more for the Socal pass than they should be, assuming they are using Holiday House/Fun Sun to book with (this is Canadian). It seems like a steep fee.

I called and bought our 8 day passes the day before ticket prices went up. I was thinking that the prices might go up, but i never imagined the 8 day passes would disappear!!!!:scared1: So glad we bought them when we did!! We have the vouchers in an email, i just need to print them off and take them when we go.

My only worry now is, will there be any problem changing the vouchers at the ticket booth, considering they are not available at all now? Or are the Disney tickets more like a phone card, ie, it's 'loaded' with whatever number of days you purchase?
Hope my question makes sense!!! lol I'm picturing walking up to the ticket booth with my voucher for 8 day park hoppers and being told "Sorry, we only carry up to 5 days!!)

I'm certain that given we've paid for an 8 day park hopper they can't deny us entry for 8 days of park hopping, but I can't help but worry!!! lol

We used them last year when we went to DL. I am no where near a flightcentre so I called and did everything over the phone. They emailed me my vouchers which I took to the ticket booth at the park where they redeemed them for park tickets. Very simple. Longest process was at the tickets booths.

I wouldn't worry about exchanging your voucher. They didn't know anything about the 8 day hopper LAST YEAR!!!!! :rolleyes1When I called last fall they told me I would have to buy a 6 day and a 2 day or the equivilant of the total.
Disney hasn't sold an 8 day hopper for quite awhile I believe, and the CM's have no idea that you could still get them outside the US.I wonder if they know about the 14 day Aussie hopper. I'd call again and ask....but I know what the answer will be.;)

Sorry for you guys that can't get what you need My only guess is that they didn't sell. Like I said in an earlier post, I am in the Edmonton area for over 15 years and I have never, ever sold a 7 or 8 day park hopper so they may have just decided it's not worth it. I have worked full time for 3 major Canadian agencies and have asked my coworkers and only a handful had ever sold them. That being said, you should contact your travel agent and have them talk to their sales rep from Holiday House/Fun Sun, Westjet Vacations, Western Vacations, etc. and have your agent complain to them. That would be much more useful than complaining to a CM on the 1-800 Disney #. IMO. However, when our sales rep asks how many a year we sell and we say none, I'm sure they will say then what's the problem. But I certainly will mention it and hope you guys will be able to get them back.

I am positive for the people who have the PDF already for the 6, 7 or 8 day will be fine. That will be a non issue. Don't worry about that;)
