After a great dinner at Tritons, we dropped the kids off at the kids clubs. My two six year olds were ready and eager, however my 8 year old was tentative. we checked him and and watched him from a distance, and he was not real interested. Given he was upset earlier, I asked if he wanted to leave and he said yes, so he came with us to the pool. we ordered room service about 11:00 and turned in, ready for our next day.
We had breakfast at Parrot Cay and decided to try Nassau. We previously decided to stay on the ship, as we heard a lot of negative things. We headed off and walked down the pier. It was not as bad as i expected. A few Cabbies asking if we were going to Atlantis, and A few hairbraiders yelled out, but nothing real bad. We walked through the little mini-mall and out to the downtown area. We visited souvenier shops and purchased some items. The traffic was crazy and they do not stop for pedestrians. On the way back we took a horese and carriage ride around the city $40 for all 6 of us. It was interesting, but 3 hours was plenty, not really much to see or do. I wanted to buy a cuban cigar but never did....maybe next year... We went back to the ship for lunch in beach Bl;anket buffet. Crab Claws were very good! More time at the Mickey pool,as the kids loved the slide. A few cocktails later it was dinner at Animators. We all enjoyed the meal and the surroundings that come to life as you eat. It was very entertaining. After dinner, we dropped the kids off at the clubs. My 8 year old was a little hesitant, but I talked to him and he seemed ok. I checked on him after an hour and he was having a great time and did not want to leave. We soent more time at the pool and the deck party leaving nassau. The party was great. I was dancing ( I call it dancing...my wife...well...)with my kids and wife for awhile. About an hour before departure a house on the waterfront caught on fire and was burning out of control. I dod not see one red light or fire truck. I am not sure if they have them there??? The buffet on deck was ok.. but not great.. we went back to the cabins and ordered room service again and conked out about 12:00mid. We stopped by and looked at the pictures from Shutters and picked the $149 package. We had TONS! of our own pictures already but.... Tomorrow Castaway Cay and Paolo's.:smooth:

I am enjoying you trip reports so far. I love to hear how other people's Wonder cruises go. Our family of six (two adults, with our kids--4,7,8,and 12 years old) are leaving on the Wonder, November 6.

Looking forward to hearing more about your cruise.

I am enjoying your reports. We're travelling March 4, 2004 with a 5 & 6 year old. We plan to walk around the town in the morning (we've been to Atlantis already) and then spend the rest of the day on the ship. Can you fill me in on the activities in the kids club that your 6 year olds participated in? Also, I can't wait to hear about Palo and CC. Was this the 3 night or 4 night cruise?
