Hi Everyone....just posted a bunch of pics from our 8/3 Western Cruise over on the Trip Report Board. Just follow the link and directions on the trip report thread.

We had a fantastic time and I tried to include pics from Palos Brunch, Key West, Stingray City with Capt. Marvins, Mr. Sanchos Beach in Cozumel and of course the rest of the cruise.

There are two 8/3 Magic albums that can be viewed. Most are in order but near the end of the Page 2 album I scanned a bunch in no particular order.

Any questions about the trip please ask!!!

MJ

Hey MJ,
What can you tell us about your experience with Mr Sanchos? Did they take credit cards, did they charge you for the use of chairs/umbrellas? How was the food? Did you do the full day with Cptn Marvin?
Thanks,
Bob

Wonderwoman.....the link is on the Trip Report Page over on the Trip Report Board.

Bob.....We were a party of 7 that went to Mr. Sanchos. We took a taxi and it cost $30 each way, about a 15-20 minute ride. If you have 4 or less people it is $15 each way and most cabs hold 4. We found a cab that held 7 so it was the same price as if we had two taxi's.

They did not charge for beach loungers (the kind that sat directly in the sand). These were very comfortable.

They did charge for the chaise lounges that had cushions. We did not use those so I do not know how much.

When we walked in we were ushered to a straw umbrella table with chairs. The attendant immediately brought us more chairs to sit at the table. There was no cost to get into Mr. Sanchos.

We ordered 4 beers and chips/salsa and I think it cost about $12 (buy 3 beers get one for free). We did that twice. Paid cash, so don't know if they take credit cards.

I also brought with me a coupon that I had printed from Mr. Sanchos site on the web for a free frozen Margarita if any food was purchased and they honored it.

They had plenty of water craft for rent (private vendor) and a trampoline in the Water that I think cost $10 for the day per person, but if you were over 13/14, they discouraged you from going on....though I saw a few adults out there.

You cannot consume any food/beverage brought in from the outside. I had not know this and packed a collapsible cooler. When I popped open a soda I was politely told that no outside food/drink can be consumed there.

It was a very nice beach with a great view and they even had a small built-in pool meant for the smaller kids. We had a very nice beach day.

As for Capt. Marvins, we booked online just a few days before and had no problem with the reservations. We booked the 2 hours excursion from 11:15-1:15 which was just enough. We had 20-25 minutes at a snorkel site and then 20-25 minutes with the Stingrays at Stingray city. The rest was boat/van travel time.

MJ -

Thanks sooo much for sharing. It was great to re-live our cruise. Your pictures were great. All of our pictures are in albums and my DH made a vidoe collage with music or our trip hilights (there's over 3 solid hours of taping) I can't bring myself to put album away and we look at the tape when we need a boost!

We can't wait to go again and are booked for 12/27/2003 - Eastern.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them, it makes me want to leave today!

Bob....I don't remember if I mentioned this when I replied to you before but the highlight of the our Mr. Sanchos trip for my son and his friend was when the Dos Equixs (sp), you know the beer, girls came around to all the tables. Picture three bikini clad girls coming around asking if anyone wants to take advantage of the buy 3 get one free special!!! My sons jaw dropped. The girls also would pose for pics and they gave out temporary tatoos and the key chains. My son was in heaven!!!

Now I really can't wait. I hope they show up when we are there, for my son's sake that is. ;)
