I got to sleep in this morning, I guess the hours we have been keeping has finally caught up to me, not to mention, I have started fighting a head cold. I fell asleep around midnight last night and didn't wake up until 7:20, which is really late for me, LOL!!!
This has been the most "MAGICal" week, and I hate seeing it come to an end. A group of DIS'ers and family members are meeting for brunch at Palo this morning at 10:30. Photo below.
DIS'ers and Family Members having Brunch at Palo 8-28-03
Brunch at Palo was out of this world, I don't ever remember eating so much at one meal. Our server was Kristian from Croatia, and he was "EXCELLENT" and quiet funny as well. I can't begin to tell you what I ate, it was a little of this and a little of that, but it sure added up to a lot!!!
We were given the private room, after a while it did get a little warm in there, but we turned on the two fans, left the door open, and it was quite comfortable. I believe I can speak for all, that everyone had a very nice time. It was fun being able to sit down and talk with the other DIS'ers and see how they were enjoying the cruise.
After brunch, we went back to our cabin to change into more comfortable clothes, shorts and t-shirts!!! DW is preparing to go to the Rainforest Spa for a few hours, and DD is out with Dniece, so I have the cabin to myself, and am catching up on my trip report notes and photos.
Tonight we got to see Disney Dreams before our semi-formal dinner at Lumiere's. What can I say, this show was totally amazing IMHO!!! I had to bring the hankie out at the end. I was starting to think about the Page Family, and how much this trip is going to be MAGICal for them, and I just felt so overwhelmed, it is truly a show to see!!!
For dinner I had the Lobster Tail and Shrimp for my appitizer, I guess you could tell it was seafood night. For dessert I selected the Warm Chocolate Lave Cake, ooo la! la! It was YUMMY!!!
It is going to be so hard to say good-bye to our serving team Roberto, Prudence, and Tommy, they have worked so hard to make this week so enjoyable, eveything was above and beyond our expectations. Our cabin steward Claude was also amazing, I'm not sure how many hours a day this man put in, but everytime we turned around, he was busy at work. Our room was always so nice and clean, and we enjoyed our towel animals at night.
I nearly forgot, this afternoon, we had a knock at our door. I opened the door, and a CM handed me a plate of cheese, crackers, and grapes another DCL surprise. My DW and I nibbled on them as we were getting ready to see Disney Dreams. I have so many more "THANK YOU" cards to make when we get home, as I handed out the ones I brought with me. This has indeed been the most MAGICal trip we ever took.
Tomorrow we dock at Castaway Cay, and it will be our last full day on the Magic, I'm already starting to feel a bit sad about that.
