I can't talk too much longer, my dept is having a planning meeting this afternoon for 2 hours! Uck! My mind will be drifting to the Magic I'll be on in 30 days. If these meetings are going to be monthly, maybe I can miss the next one, we leave for WDW on Feb 22nd.

Anyone know whats up with my ticker? I come on one time and it says 30 days, then the next time it says 1 month.:confused3 Or are my eyes going again?

Oh, well at least the sun is out. :cool2: Of course it's only 15 degrees! :scared1:

I'll tell you what Todd told me yesterday when my clock was acting up-----

Someone's been hittin the rum:drinking1

I hear that! My dd will be 9 in May. Now she is kind of getting into privacy a bit. If I go into the bathroom when she is in there she has a fit, but it's fine for her to walk in on me when I'm on the "Throne"! Then she has to comment on what's going on. I mean it's just the 2 of us and well we are both female!
Lately she has commandeered my deodorant!

DD wants a dog. I don't know then I'll have both of them busting in on me!:rotfl:

Funny how it works that way. Everything of my daughter's is "off limits" to everyone.....but she takes my stuff all the time! :confused3

Arlene I hear ya!!!! Many of the 10 yo my son knows also have cell phones. We will not be going there anytime soon. They are always with me so why would they need one. Besides they loose everything.

I finally broke down and got dd a trac phone, pay as you go. Since my Dad died in August, dd has had a couple of episodes of panic when I'm not right there. She only takes it on her choir practice days. She isn't to flash it around school.( That train left the station!) I leave early from work to pick her up from practice and sometimes traffic delays me. So she now calls me when she gets out and I tell her which way to walk to the car. She did it yesterday and could see me. I rolled down the window and yelled at not to waste her minutes! It was a cheap phone only $15. So if she loses it I won't be too mad. She loses stuff all the time.

Hi everyone....My DH and myself are hoping to get a cabin on this cruise. We were on the 11 night Southern Caribbean in Sept and absolutely loved it. We can't wait to meet all of you and see the ones we met before. I have been following this thread and we have finally decided to jump in and join you!!! :cool1:

Pam

Gotta go, maybe I should hit the rum so I can get through this meeting!:drinking1

They did say they would have snacks.

So, apparently my new stategy is to read all new pages, take some notes along the way, then post once to keep in the mix...
I have to say, you are all so witty... this is a fun thread...Just wait for the cruise! :lmao:

Hey "M" - (sk8ingmom)-- You are so right about Michelle being the name of our generation! But I think it might have been second to Jennifer! I was in a sorority in college, out of about 125, we had 8 Jennifers and 6 Michelles!
Also-- I totally agree about the fun of this thread over what should be fun planning of our Hawaii trip! BYW- We were in the Islands last March and they had record rains and flooding... flash floods everyday! It was crazy. There was even a tornado that touched down at a Marina off Lana'i! Hope you have calm sunny weather! We are going in June this time...

I LOVE the recaps Lisa and Judy! Very funny!

Speaking of Holiday birthdays, my DD's is New Years eve (12/31). What a great little tax deduction she was that year! We are already planning a trip to Vegas for her 21st!
OH, and DH's is tomorrow... I know what he wants for his birthday, but I just don't have enough wrapping paper...:rolleyes1 Could I borrow one of those full body paperbags and just stick a bow on my forehead?

Captcrash- I need to quote another funny DISser on this thread and say you "sprained my brain:faint: " with all the math about how long we have before we embark on this cruise... However, I think what I got from it was that we are already on the journey! That is one more reason the $10,000 total cost of this trip will be more worth it... consider that your spreading the enjoyment over the next... What was it.... 538.9648 days?!?!
I certainly plan to spread the payments out over that time, and likely the 129.4334 days following!:goodvibes

OK--- gotta step away for a few hours. Don't go too far without me!

Marcy

It's doing that for me too. On your earlier post when you mentioned that it was down to days, all I saw was 1 month. Right now as I'm typing, it says 30 days. I thought maybe it had something to do with the time zones, but since it's changing back for you to, I'm clueless.

Welcome Aboard!

OK, so I figured I would try and get in on this. I piped in MUCH earlier to report that I would be "trying" to get a booking for this cruise, and if we get on the ship, it'll be myself, my DPartner Jen, and "hopefully" our child. We're in the process of adopting. (keep your fingers crossed for us!) :goodvibes

I must say, however...I do not know how much "pirate" we have in us! I'm in serious doubt of my ability to be pirate-like at all! All the talk of swashbuckling fun has me feeling a bit inferior...Is this perhaps something that can be learned in a matter of, say 19 months? :confused3

At any rate, you all sound like an awfully fun group tp get to know, and I hope that we will all be sailing together next year!! :dance3: I can only imagine the crazy antics! :rolleyes1

So Lisa I got the notes going from now on so now this will be easier.

ANYONE LOOKING TO CATCH UP PLEASE REFER TO PAGE 1 POST 1.
THE UPDATES ARE NOW COMPLETE. NO MORE EXCUSES FOR BEING BEHINDpirate: pirate: pirate:

Shheeesshhh!

KEEP UP OR NO RUM RATION FOR YOU - THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL MORALE IMPROVES

I guess I better do the b-day thing too (good for post count!)

me-5/8
DH 8/5
DD 2/20 (now 12)
DD 10/8 (now 8)
DD 1/23 (just turned 4)

Scary - DH b-day is 5/8, mine is 10/8
For the record: DS5 - 5/22 & DS8 - 8/30. He'll turn 10 on the repo. Oh that is too difficult to think about.

Did you all see the Disney dream job contest I posted last night?

What would be your Disney dream job?

I want to be Tinkerbell when I grow up.!! :tink: Flying nightly at MK during Wishes. Sadly, I'm an inch to tall :sad1: (OK and probably 15 years too old :rolleyes1)

Second choice: The spinny bird lady in Festival of the Lion King at AK. that just looks like a lot of fun.

My third choice is gone now. I love the inline skaters in Tarzan Rocks.

If this group is as much fun as the 11 night Southern Caribbean last September, then we will definetely be in for a fun trip!!!! I knew nothing about being a pirate, but it did not take long to learn.....It is so much fun on Pirate Night!

All this can be yours for the low-low price of just $18.55 a day!
Oh, I like this reasoning.

Names: There were quite a few Jennifers and Kristins thrown into the mix, but in my part of the world, every group had at least 3 Michelles, 3 Amys and 3 Lisas. Incidentally, all our moms were named Judy, Linda or Bonnie, so you think they might have been a little more creative!

Hawaii: No rain. No rain. Only sun. A gals gotta thaw out sometime! We'll be coming back to AK for 2 more months of winter. (74.1" of snow so far this year)

When did you leave off ? And yes ANYONE can be taught pirate especially if they hang out here for any amount of time. I will even strongly encourage my 80 yo mom to participate. Its no fun sitting on the sidelines.

I'm not on this cruise, but was curious as to how it has gotten over 2200 posts in just 2 weeks!!!

Wow, this must be the record!

good job guys!

(or everyone is unemployed and are on the computer all day!;)

1. I too love this reasoning

2. Does that mean I have an old lady name?:lmao: :lmao:

3. It will be gorgeous. Humpbacks to boot. Can't beat Hawaii in the winter.
