We got our pack the other day as well and have been also talking about this ....I really want some sincentives thought ...Like annual passes or something ...:lmao: :lmao: One could hope right ???

pirate:

Annual passes have continued to go up so much. $559 for non residents/$339 for Florida residents. It really adds up for a family of 5 especially considering the great prices and deals Universal and Sea World put out there. I remember when we moved here they were $199. This will be our first year to not get them. We honestly did not use ours last year very much like we used to----too many birthday parties, swim meets, and out of town weekends.

Between walking the kid to school and back , its a mile there and a mile bike ...Plus at the gym I ride the bike for anothr 5 miles ...So I usally do about 8 to nine miles a day 5 days a week plus of course I work on the different weight machines for another 45 minutes ...

As for the New Ship ....Do not count on it coming to CA ....One of the Ships will come to CA most likely the Wonder ....The Magic will Move to the Bahama cruises and the Dreams will do eastern , western and southern cruises .....I am not a fan of cruising Alaska ..to me cruise somewhere cold is not a cruise ..I want sun , some heat and a tan ....

pirate:

Heat shmeat, I get plenty of sun, heat and tans here by our pool. :lmao: I can't wait to do an Alaskan cruise.

I think the new ship has to be the one assigned out here for the Alaskan because it has to be specially built for the weather up there, that's why they haven't been able to do special Alaskan itineraries with the Magic or Wonder.

I am with you guys I like the warmer weather. Just want to see the beautiful scenery and some Orcas. Probably better to do it by self guided tour rather than on a boat but it is tempting since it is DCL.

HOLY MOLY!!! You guys can really gab. I'll be catching up for...well...a while! :)

I love hot and sunny too, but Alaska is such an amazing place. The beauty is just beyond description and cruising through Glacier Bay is magical. It's like going to another world. I really hope DCL does go there one day. It would be even better on a Disney cruise.

I can't wait to go back to Alaska this summer although right now I am so deep into the Pirate Zone I can hardly think about our Alaska cruise.

ROFL!!! Back to the singers of the 70s.....I use to watch Donny & Marie every week. That is one way that we were punished...no D&M. OY! I use to tape the shows on my cassette player to replay & act out with my sister...before VCRs were around. :rolleyes1 I still have all of their albums.

BTW...I have Andy Gibb's shadow dancing album too. :lmao:

Yeah she is back

And just when I thought I was going to beat your post count for this thread pixiedust: there you are ...LOL

Glad to see you back ...

This led me to believe that if you want the $300 obc from DU that they'll have to book the cruise for you on or before 1/31... for all west coasters or related repos that is the only day... I guess it could count if you got your own ressie and transferred in the same day?

Just going with the flow here but in case this hasn't been answered....

You can call DCL on your own & modify your existing resie or book a new one, then transfer it to DU after you have done this to get the OBC from them. :goodvibes As long as you have emailed them with the info on 1/31 they should honor it. It will take them a few days to catch up with everything though, so you may not hear from them right away.

I have contacted the person who has them all in photobucket & they will be sending me the link so that they can be downloaded to the DIS after they locate the correct account. :goodvibes

You want to talk bugs??? We had some killer bugs in New Orleans. They called them palmetto bugs but IDC what the name was there....those things were roaches!!! They flew too...right into your house if you didn't close the door fast enough. Freaked me out the first couple times! :scared1: Stacey...those bugs weren't beetles...they were roaches. ;)

They use to have a contest every year to see who caught/killed the biggest one. They would make little clothes & have little roach golfers, etc. SICK I tell you! Just SICK!

Andy, please tell Hazel that I am sorry for her loss. I know this is a few days late, but it is still heartfelt. (((HUGS)))

OK...right now we don't have spiders or flying roaches. What we do have in the warm months are copperheads & water mocs in the back ditch...which is really too close to our house. :( It is the main drainage way for the neighborhood going out to the main street. LOVERLY! :sad2: The kids can't play out back. Of course, the snakes don't stay in the back. DH kills a few baby copperheads every year. :scared1:

Finally just got caught up as well. Got to work sometime!!

Lisa, welcome back.

As for my screen name, I have had it for quite awhile. I originally got involved with message boards on hockey sites. I still help moderate on of those sites. (www.youthhockeyforum.com) At the time my son's hockey team was the Blue Jackets and we had season tickets for the CBJ (the abbreviation for the Columbus Blue Jackets.) If I remember correctly just plain HockeyNut was taken and therefore CBJHockeyNut. I have too many things crammed in my brain to have different screen names or login/passwords. (Yes, unfortunately--crack the code and just about every code I have opens up.) Not exactly what the internet security folks would recommend but trade off have to be made!!

Screen name....pretty simple to figure it out & I have used it in every forum I have belonged to. It is easy for me to remember who I am that way. ;)

Captain Crash....how horrifying for you! Glad to hear that you and yours are safe and sound. :) I guess you feel the same way when you hear about us preparing for the hurricanes on this coast.

Okay speaking of which---
On myth busters pirate edition (Todd you will love this) they did this experiment to find out the usefulness of pirates eyepatches. They had the guys try to do simple tasks in the dark and they couldn't see a thing and did poorly on their assigned tasks. They were falling into everything......but then they patched an eye for however long before hand and when they entered the dark and took off the patdh they could immediately see because their eyes were adjusted. They were all amazed at how well the patch worked when you wanted to sneak around at night and see well with no adjustment period.

Sorry --I don't watch Heroes. Don't even know what it is about or who is on it. Guess I would not be on the list then.

Hmmmm....interesting. pirate: Will have to try it sometime. LOL! We enjoy watching Mythbusters. The kids crack up at some of them.

With the list...noone knows if it is a good thing to be on it or not yet. :confused3

Let's see, always wanted to do the Panama Canal, now looks like that will happen. I've wanted to cruise Alaska as well, so depending on today's announcement, I may be headed that way in a few years.

But I'd really like to do an Oceania cruise...Fiji, Moorea, Bora Bora....I was doing the WPASADI game and that's where my team created a cruise for. It looks like a lot of really cool islands.

Yep, those were the "flying roaches" we had in Tucson, AZ. My mom would go outside to jog and those things would be buzzing by her. At first she didn't mind because she thought they were birds. When she realized the truth she completely freaked out. :scared1:
