yes, Judy, my name is Jeanne..... the "g" is just my middle initial. Sorry about the kids' coach leaving.....we've been through that before and it always causes such turmoil. Did you say you had 4 kids (or coaches?!) What are their ages? We also have 4 but they are all in their 20's now.....thank goodness!

Okay, I didn't tell this part yet.

When I got there, they were all playing ball, so I watched for a while and then this really good looking guy started talking to me. I was thinking that my friends really picked me a good one!!
When they got done playing ball, my friends introduced me to Jay (my now husband)....who had been sitting on the other side of the ball field the whole time I talked to "Mike".

Would have loved to have watched that one. Were thay out on the field going "No wrong one"?

3 kids ages 4, 7, 10---- 4 teams under our organization each with their own coach.

Gosh Garry and Vicki live near there. Vicki will be traveling with Stacey and Sharon. In fact Vicki works at Mercy down there. Garry and I spent alot of time talking about that area on our last thread. My DH grew up in Michigan--thumb area and then he went back for his residency in DTW. We lived in Centerline. but DH worked at a clinic after hours in Wyandotte. Atleast you are close to the airport for quick get aways like LA

Morning all- gosh- only had a few pages to catch up this morning. Works better if one stays up late and gets up early.

Verandah Man- Just wanted to give a word of 'thanks' to you. I was the 'Escaping Mom' who was on the Southern Caribbean 11 day with Stacey and the Ladies- well for an hour until the phone call came- and I had to leave and return home. Anyway- I had posted trying to find some address to send a letter of thanks to Disney about how wonderful they were getting me off the ship, to the airport, and on a flight home. To say nothiing about getting my luggage shipped. Anyway- you were wonderful enough to foward my post to a CM friend who worked in Guest Relations. Thank you for doing that. I did receive information from them. Disney was nothing short of wonderful during that tough part of my life. Now seeing the work you do with the postcards- I can't wait to meet you. You sound like a very special person.

For most- today for most- this is 'hump' day- not for me. Today begins my workweek. Gotta get those hours logged and stick that money in my 'vacation pot.' See I'm gonna have to buy a bigger pot.

I'd love to swap stories. Especially since I see you got to stay in the Hotel Mira Costa. That must have been incredible.

And I also see in your sig that you've been to DL Paris. I'll be headed there before my Med Repo cruise. So I'll need to pick your brain. I actually have quite a bit of info because that was my original destination, then we switched to Tokyo about a month before we were to go.

I am envious of those of you who get to go on the Med repo cruise too...There was no way I could afford to go on both though. LOL If you have any questions though, feel free.

DisneyVegas, or I mean Captain Jack, the only reason I asked if Melissa was from Vegas, is because I knew a girl, named Melissa that I went to high school with that I had heard married a DJ at one of the popular radio stations...seemed a little too coincidental. LOL

Has anyone else besides ME seen the new STICKY on the CRUISE MEET forum area? I was the 14th (or 15th) viewer and posted the 1st reply.

It addresses how there is a nw a NEW INFRACTION WARNING SYSTEM going in place. In brief - it seems that now when someone violates any conduct or TOS guidelines, or does anything that is deemed inappropriate by a moderator - they will get #1) a warning point(s) of some kind, #2) the warning point(s) assignment automatically generates a viewable thread in a specific area... so it seems as if anyone might view the progression of conversation on that infraction; and #3) Folks recieving an infraction point will have an opportunity to defend themselves - possibly contribute supportive 2nd party observations.

These infraction threads appear to be something akin to "Traffic Court". How charming.

Frankly I like the idea as ocassionally I've seen just plain "mean" and "improper" venting elsewhere on the DIS. Sometimes the nicest people have been victimized from what I have seen. For example, once I know of someone who was recovering from surgery and on their anniversery was send a scathing PM! Now, if that was not premeditated and infantile - I don't know what wouldn't be.

Over time I privately counseled everyone to stay cool - and this would go away - then I sort of snapped and (uncharactisitcly) I posted publicly that something by "so and so" had been done that was vile and wrong - and we needed an aploogy from them... pronto. I did not specify the details publicly nor did I contribute any language that was foul. I did go on to say that the growing silence might be an admission of guilt... I was in fact quite annoyed over the lack of justice in this matter - so I took it upon myself to risk the public "heat".

Naturally, everyone was surprised that I spoke out at all after counseling so many to just stay cool and silent. AND... I drew a number of polite admonishments publicly for perpetuating any *******... and I drew an equal number of complements for essentially being a rightous loud mouth. Folks commented that they felt my judgement would not be expected to be unfounded - as only a few had seen the actual violating PM.

A monitor came by to glance at all the details and ... edited nothing... asking the injured party for input. The guilty party edited their (see, no gender revealed) public postings and left. They had very little to say publicly anyways.

My point - is now we have given the moderators a far better (more refined) tool and mechanism for dealing with questionable matters that probably detract from our community.

I applaud the changes... and now I'm beginning to wonder ... how many infraction points can "I" get before my travel insurance rates jump? <LOL> I'm in California... will THAT affect my rates as well? So.... does anyone think I should PM the Insurance Commissionor to have him check whether this point system is legal or maybe an improper form of red lining <chuckles?>.... who shall be the watch dog over the watch dogs? Hmmm... why ME of course! <LOL>

I will turn Radio Disney on this morning to see if any is announced, also watch Miceage and Magical Mountain Disney. Kids may be in college by the time they get the boat built.
