I just got an email from our AAA agent saying her Disney sales rep told her that a category 11 for the August repositioning cruise would be $1699.00 to $2003.00 for the 1st and 2nd person. She said that the 3rd and 4th person will be discounted, but Disney hasn't decided if it will be a flat fee or they will discount by ages. Has anyone heard anything different?

Also does anyone know for sure how much deposits will be? I forgot to ask my TA and I have read both $250 and $500 per person on different threads.

Does anyone know how many precruise reservations you can make for Palo on a cruise of this length? I know on the seven day cruises you are usually limited to one dinner, one brunch and one tea, but it seems like on the longer cruises they would allow more.

On the 2005 cruise we were allowed one of each. We were able to get additional ones once on board but only the one in advance. With all those sea days it wasnt a problem.

Thanks for that info. I am looking forward to as many chances to dine at Palo as possible!

The DCL recording is saying $1699 - $2399 per person for the Cat 11 ... port charges and taxes not included.

Deposits will be $500 per person.

Haven't heard a peep about the 3rd/4th pax rates.

Do you all think those of us who are first time cruisers will have a hard time booking Palo?

What about the teen thing at Castaway Cay?

I'm wondering if there will be anything left by the 75 day mark.:confused3

I am pondering on putting in for a quote through DU to see what they come back with ...I need a Cat 6 and 11 right across from each other and the would be a 500 dollars in room credits ?? Then I will also call on January 31st to see what I can get ....

Now if my ressie ends up being with DU when I go on the Med Repo and can get a better deal onboard , can I switch ?? I am still trying to figure out the best way to go on this ...

We are pondering this trip as we were very envious of watching the Magic on the webcams go thru the canal.
Can anyone answer this question?.I know if you cancel before the final payment you get you deposit back, right? But do you get back the trip insurance as well or do you just take that loss?

insurance is NOT refundable ... deposits on cat 4-12 rooms are fully refundable before the final pymt date

I agree - pick one way of securing a reservation and thats it. If you do it yourself you can always transfer to a TA and get any perks they offer. The prices rose soooooo fast for the 2005 cruise for this exact reason.

Except they're talking about booking Jan 31st and then checking prices on the Med repo ... that's at least 4 months from now ... if they can get the same rate in May that they are quoted on Jan 31st, they aren't negatively impacting the rates. If the 2008 rates are up by the time they go on the Med repo, they won't rebook onboard.

Oh I guess I misread - my apologies. I agree with trying to rebook on the med. Wont need a new ressie to do that as long as you are with DCL directly- what they did for me on the 10 night was to put my ressie on a hold status and then reactivate it with the onboard codes. I had to pay the going price but got the benefit of the onboard perks.

Hey guys! Been sprung from being stuck at home and so I've been gone all day. You guys posted well while I was out.

Isn't every night pirate night when you're with Capt. Jack?

Yeah, I actually hate DCL food too (please don't flame me!!!) After about 2 nights of rich sauce covered meals, I just want a big dinner salad or homecooked meal. Maybe just a great soup that isn't chilled. This last cruise truth be told-----we never ate in our dining room. We did eat at Topsiders a few nights but we lived on paninis and pizza. We did however enjoy the pool during sunset!!!! I think that is one reason we love the western cruises because we are covered for dinner at KW, GC, and CZ. I promised my7 DH we would take instant meal stuff this 15 days. (mac and cheese, ramen...)They certainly could learn a thing or two from some of the other lines. I want OHANAS afloat. Since you guys are so special -we will eat in the DR with you. The company will make us forget the food.

I am getting nervous now second guessing what I requested.....Maybe I should have only gotten 2 cabins. ..........

Ginny--where is Valrico? I could look it up but I thought I'd ask instead. Lazy today I guess.

Alright I felt bad for being lazy so I looked it up. By Brandon, right? I knew that I had heard the name before. We are coming your way and beyond this weekend. Headed to the beach. We go to Palm Island/Don Pedro. The whole family is into fossiling.
