I truely want to beleive that the prices will be closer to yours, but I am trying to prepare for sticker shock. I have had my heart set on this for 2 weeks now.

I read some where that the ports visited play a role in the price of the cruise. Is that true? That may explain why the 14 night repo is less then the 10 and 11 night med. cruises.

If this is true, I hope that means that the 2008 repo cruise will be less than the 2007 repo.

Okay, I actually lost sleep about this last night! DH is wonderful, he goes with the flow "whatever you think honey".....however I'd love more input from him for this one!!
I too will be sooooo disappointed if the cruise is out of our reach! Unfortunately $2000 per person is out of our reach! (me, DH and 10yo..at the time of the cruise...twins). Does $6000 for a family of 4 for a cat 9 sound even remotely possible?? Or should I switch focus now and save myself some heart ache??

Okay, I know I will know tomorrow....but you all know as well as I.....it's not soon enough!!

I think you will be fine. I know it was amazing to me how much the med rates went up after first tier. Now it sounds like they have fallen back down however if you call and get first tier pricing you should be good with that budget. Unless DCL is so mad at us DISers for discovering all their secrets early that they want to do us in with sticker shock heart attacks.

As much as I would love that, it only an announcement and we will not be able to book until the 31st. But thank you for the offer. Where I work, I never know where I will be and cell phones are not allowed. On the upside I usually have computer access, so I will check sometime during the day. DW will be at home monitoring the board as well.
Also I checked some other cruise lines (RCL, HAL and Princess) for their Repo prices for a 14 day repo. Prices range from just under $6k to just over $7k for 4 pax (2A/2k) in an equivalent cat 9. I am sure DCL will be in that range. I will be disappointed not to go if it is over $7k. Hoping for less.

So on another note since we are hanging........
Anybody going to watch American Idol tonight 2hours. Tryouts are my favorite part even if the bad ones are staged. Atleast that is what I figure since they have been through all those eliminations outside before they see Paula, Randy ,and Simon.

When does Amazing Race start? It is the all stars. Rob and Amber are back.

I haven't seen anything about survivor-----can you believe I watched it all season and the finale was while we were on the Magic and they do not have CBS. That was a bummer. I never even thought it would be a problem. Guess I never noticed before that they only have ABC.

Got bills paid today. Now gotta get ready to take the kids to swim team and dinner.

What is everyone else up to? (other than the anticipatory coma)
