Wow...that is one tight squeeze through the Canal!! I wouldn't want to look out a porthole window at that wall!!

Yes the Magic had scratches last time all down it, its very very tight getting in and a lot of squeesing.

We saw them painting the ship at Cuacao last time all day and it had dry dock a few weeks later, this time dry dock is soon after so they must know what to expect, Basically there isnt anythin in it, and little ugs push you in place and the mule trains dragg the ship along.

Thats what I am hoping for is that while I am onboard the 10% will end up being cheaper then what I pay on the 31st ...Plus maybe they will add tips and room credit like they did the Med Repos

Todd, I highly doubt they will add the tips to this cruise too unless the prices are so outrageous that no one books. I think the Med Repos are struggling a bit so they threw out a bone...Of course one can hope!

Yes Cartagena sounds like it could be a tad dangerous if you venture off on your own. We are definitely up for a group thing. Beaches like about like Mazatlan--kinda brown, lots of people. Did they have ziplining? My DH partner is from Columbia, been here for 30 years though. I think he has been back. I will have to pimp him on Columbia.

They don't really have a big fort like in Romancing the Stone do they? Wasn't that the one from Puerto Rico?

This led me to believe that if you want the $300 obc from DU that they'll have to book the cruise for you on or before 1/31... for all west coasters or related repos that is the only day... I guess it could count if you got your own ressie and transferred in the same day?

They will still have an OBC after 1/31. At least they did before (Meds). It seems as if they always extend them indefinately. I think the only thing they would do (but I highly doubt) is lessen it.

This'll probably get me in trouble...but I was looking around on the main boards....which I've been told I should never do, because something there always make me mad...but anyway...

Am I the only one who thinks there should be a rule about the minimum number of people in a suite?? Especially the Cat 1's and 2's.....I don't think 2 people should be allowed to book them, they should be saved for families or larger groups who need the space.

But what about small families that are willing to pay the asking price? I have a small family; just son and I. After seeing the wonderful pictures posted on the boards, I'd love to stay in a suite just once.
