La in August really isn't that bad (just like San Diego). Occasionally you get a day above 90, but with the sea Breeze most of the time it stays about 78 - 85 when i was stationed there

I know that CA doesn't get humid like the east coast but when you get to the PC it is going to be HOT!

Grew up in Rochester, (Edison class of 82), My SIL lives in Victor and my sister in Farmington, in the trailer park at Exit 44 of the Thruway..

I was Roth class of 82 :rotfl2: ::yes:: I know the exit. My kids go to Canandaigua, the line is split between Victor/farmigton for schools.

$7k was an extreme case, the normal fare was $10,300. We sailed in 11/05 and had some issues with the room. I called and complained and the CM said I would be receiving a follow-up call from Guest Services after I returned home.

Suprisingly enough I got the call and the CM was very nice. He apologized for the inconvenience and said I can't do anything about your past cruise, but I would like to help you out with your upcoming cruise in 08/06.

He offered 25% off the fare which amounted to $2,300. While on the 11/05 cruise I asked the Sales Manager if she could give me the 10% and $200 OBC even though I didn't book onboard. Her response was you booked a Cat 1 so that shouldn't be a problem. I guess her feeling was you are spending a lot of money so it is the least I can do.

Her discount brought the fare down from 10k to 9k and then with the offer from Guest Services of 25% it reduced it to 7k so I really got a bargain.

OK...so I wasn't seeing things. :lmao: That is a great deal!!!

What a good negotiator!!!!!! Well if they get poor response from those they call with that pricing would n't they make adjustments?

Yeah, I was "working it" pretty hard for that cruise. On top of the $200 onboard credit from DCL I asked the guy from Guest Services if he could add to the OBC and he agreed to throw me another $100. I transferred my reservation to AST (my new best friend "Chuck Mater" and he gave me $200 too. I matched the OBC with some cash of my own and presented my wife with an OBC of $1,000

Oh yes, very vital.....like groundhog mascots and Marcia costumes!

Cool pic by the way

If ya liked that one...

No call for me yet! Maybe tomorrow. ANd I hate to disappoint, but I'm not wanting the Walt or the Roy. Because the master bed doesn't make into twins, and there's no sofa bed, it wouldn't sleep 5 women well, unless 2 shared the master. We're thinking two connecting somewhere......
