Here are some of my favorite shots from our first cruise in 11/03. The kids were 3 & 5.

Taken on our first afternoon on the ship.

Great pictures :cool1: :cool1:

That is what I did last year when it was just me & the kids. DS left for CCD after the homily...made it easier for me. DH doesn't like to sit up front...though I have made my case for why I want to. Now with the RCIA candidates sitting in the first two rows, we can't do this anyway. :sad2:

So, your parish still calls it CCD? All of the parishes in our diocese call it PSR now. Parish School of Religion. I teach my ds's 6th grade PSR class. This is my second year teaching, and I have to admit.....I've grown to love it. We have a terrific group of 15 kids, and they ask great questions!

I'm less worried about dripping and more worried what if it leaks and before we notice any dripping it soaks the ceiling there and they FALL ON US WHILE WE'RE IN BED! :scared1:
Now that's something that will keep me from sleeping. Like I need help, my insomniac self. :lmao:

Maybe you need to move the bed! :lmao: :rotfl2:
Or check on it each night.;)

I'm not sure if the one we have has ever been replaced before. I doubt it. The house was 11 years old when we bought it and we have been here almost 8 years now. Guess I will have to see if it says anything on it. Now I am curious. BRB...

V-man, belated sorry for your losses....:grouphug:

* they sounded like such nice and caring people. i don't remember exactly
when, but she was one cast member who checked us in. iam thinking sept.
o5, but i could be wrong. no doubt, they valued your support and comfort
measures. :thumbsup2

you should be everybody grandfather ! [ can you tell iam excited that
i 'll {my wife younger than me..which she is very good reminding me,
esp. when she losing an aurgment} have someone my age going???
:yay:

hey, don't mentioned anything thee wenches can used...reference
to "power of suggestion" crack.....immedaitely they all were hinting
at paying for theirs..funny thing was, when i had my billfold out, thankie
for my wife coming into the room & slappping me "backsides" to reality!

here's experience talking: married wenches loses respect for family
"jewels", right after the honeymoon..and they usually start expressing
their disappointments..thru spending habits. [ something i learnt in
school from reading "great expectations".] :lmao:

me think not only smarties wenches abound, but are too quick learners!
usually when this entered the pirate: realm, spelled alot of "curses?"

*
therefore, knowing where are the empty rum barrels could be an
effective coping skill...:rolleyes1

hey, we chosen late dining too. :thumbsup2

guess i better get some snacks ready for my school kids! bye for now!

Just remembered that I had a picture of that first VW after it burned up out in the garage.

vw70.jpg

Ok, the water heater says 1987 on it, so I guess it is the original. 20 years now. There is a large pan under it, about an inch or two deep with a pipe running from it to somewhere outside. Guess that is in case it starts to leak.
(and I did see the spigot for the hose)

Since the washing machine decided to break yesterday, I guess other things will start too.:headache: Better knock on some real wood.

Oh yeah. Does anyone have any suggestions on washing machines?? It doesn't seem like DH wants to mess with it again. It's only 8 years old. I wasn't planning on buying a new one until the laundryroom upsatirs was finished (not started yet though), but he said to just start looking for one. I should just get a regular one again, but some of those new ones are awfully 'purty'. I just can't see spending $1000 on one. THen of course I would need the matching dryer. :rolleyes1

EVENING ALL HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING.

Nice pictures above.

Hi Andrew! You and I have been chasing each other around different threads relating to the Med cruises today, I have noticed . . .

Hope your day has gone well.

:goodvibes ..me think that pic of your lil'princess: on cindy's lap
loooks like "she ' been there before and that's her "proper"
place...her smile is way to cute...

others' pics always make me think of my kids and i can still
hear/see the excitment in the lobby..when they're there! it
is a big reason that i think of walt's primary vision for :mickeyjum
to always be!

* one may noticed to my wife's ongoing chargin, iam sota over
opinionated, and don't give A flying leap what others think about me..
ok, those my faults, sorry! [i got 'em from my mother!]

This has been floating around the net for a while but someone just resent it to me......

And you also find out interesting things when you have sons, like ...

1. A king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. ft. house 4 inches deep.

2. If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.

3. A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant. ::yes::

4. If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 42 pound Boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 20x20 ft. room.

5. You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.

6. The glass in windows (even double-pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.

7. When you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh oh", it's already too late.

8. Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it.

9. A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies.

10. Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4- year old Boy.

11. Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.

12. Super glue is forever.

13. No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.

14. Pool filters do not like Jell-O.

15. VCR's do not eject "PB & J" sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.

16. Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.

17. Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when driving.

18. You probably DO NOT want to know what that odor is.

19. Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.

20. The fire department in Austin, TX has a 5-minute response time.

21. The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.

22. It will, however, make cats dizzy.

23. Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.

24. 80% of Women will pass this on to almost all of their friends, with or without kids.

25. 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid. :rolleyes1

That is true :rolleyes1

A description of the best possible cruise day: Sleep-in until I don't want to lay in bed any longer. Dress in shorts and t-shirt (tie dye of course). Head up to Topsiders for some fresh fruit and yogurt....fresh blueberries, rasberries, and strawberies (they ran out of fresh fruit on the repo). Do 10 laps on deck 4. Watch a movie in the theater with my boys. Solve some Sudoku puzzles on my balcony. Have dinner at Palos. Watch "Twice Charmed" again. See some adult comedy at Rockin' Bar D and laugh so hard I need Depends. Watch the stars from our balcony and solve a few more Sudoku puzzles (hard ones). Spoon with my husband until I fall asleep.

DO you know what Sudoku puzzles are code word for?:rolleyes1

Funny stories about your favorite pet: We had siamese cats when I was growing up. A boy and a girl. It was the early 70's. Their names were Sonny and Cher. Cher had a litter of kittens (her second litter, 2 or 3 kittens) and my mother had the brilliant idea that she would flush them down the toilet to avoid the trauma us kids had when we had to give the first litter away. The kittens were just days old. Anyway, she tried and couldn't do it; and so she cleaned the kittens up and put them back in the box with Cher. The kitten she tried to drown ended up living for 12+ years. We got Cher fixed soon after the attempted drowning. You do remember I mentioned my mom was addicted to pain medications right? She wasn't always "right" in the head.
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hi Andrew! You and I have been chasing each other around different threads relating to the Med cruises today, I have noticed . . .

Hope your day has gone well.

Yes just come on line a few mins ago and looking at all my subsribed threads to see whats happening, are you ok on your Med plans?

Andrew -- it just occurred to me that it is Thursday -- weren't you going to get an update on the progress of the skin graft today? I hope you received good news.

hi all! gonna try to pop in here today during naptime...i could really use a nap myself! so i'm hoping the boards here will help me stay awake!
it was a very long nite last nite...my gpa had a ruptured anyeurism (spelling?) on sat morning. they did surgery, and it looked to be like he was doing ok. they expected the surgery to last for 6 hrs, it only lasted 4! they thought he'd be on a resp for weeks...he was off it in 2 days! well, yesterday he had some major setbacks. his lungs and heart were doing very well...very strong! but yesterday afternoon, his heart stopped...but he's tough and stubborn and the docs got him going again! last nite was another story...his heart kept giving out numerous times, and they've had to put him back on the vent. he's not looking good, and we were at the hosp from midnite til after 3 this am. at least he's stable today...and he's a stubborn and strong old man!! which is good for his fighting chances! please keep him in your prayers!

Prayers and pixiedust: sending your way

:goodvibes ..me think that pic of your lil'princess: on cindy's lap
loooks like "she ' been there before and that's her "proper"
place...her smile is way to cute...

That was our special cruise with Cindy. :goodvibes She called DD & DS by name every day when we saw her & she always took time to kneel on the floor and talk to them no matter where it was.

Andrew -- it just occurred to me that it is Thursday -- weren't you going to get an update on the progress of the skin graft today? I hope you received good news.

Yes thats the delay tonight, so far so good, its all ok at this time, the doctor says there is still a chance of rejection of the skin graft but, at the moment he is pleased, thank you for asking.

GOOD NEWS.

That is the root of most of the problems in DH's family. There is a lot of money involved & it brings out the worst in people. His Aunt had the last laugh though. She changed her will so that the friends who helped her when she was suffering with cancer received everything, not family. There were a few things put aside for DD. There has always been one girl per generation in that family up until DD...no matter how many kids were born. Everyone else said that she would be a boy because they didn't make girls. I loved calling FIL to tell him that we had a girl & I had broken the family curse. You don't tell ME what I can or can't do. :thumbsup2 :lmao: Since then we have had another neice join the family so that one is gone for good. ;)

There is one rule to remember. You can choose your friends:thumbsup2 but you can NOT choose your relatives.

Love the pictures. I especially like the Mickey Mouse Bar Picture. I am addicted to :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar :woohoo:

Here's my car story for the day ... I was dating a guy that drove a Porsche when I met DH. DH asked me out on a date and I accepted ... when I walked out to his car to go to dinner, imagine my surprise when he walked me over to a YUGO :scared1: Of course there was a rose on the seat of that YUGO, and there had never been any roses in the Porsche :sad2:

AWWWWW! How sweet.

I don't think I ever went to a bar, although I remember walking up & down High Street on Sat. night. I didn't turn 21 until 6 weeks before I graduated & it was much more difficult to sneak into a Columbus bar than in Athens. We usually made the party rounds when I went up to visit.

So ...

... let me get this right... before you were 21 you were a street walker on Saturday nights looking to make the party rounds? I don't know what to think about that....

<chuckles>
