Now that has been cleared up, I am compelled to ask:

sub, grinder, hoagie or hero ??
:)

Who cares! I just wanna eat it!

...and on that note, I'm off to lunch.

hmmmmm to keep in the spirit....Quizno's (5 min away), Subway (6 min) or Jason's Deli (25 min)?

hi all! gonna try to pop in here today during naptime...i could really use a nap myself! so i'm hoping the boards here will help me stay awake!
it was a very long nite last nite...my gpa had a ruptured anyeurism (spelling?) on sat morning. they did surgery, and it looked to be like he was doing ok. they expected the surgery to last for 6 hrs, it only lasted 4! they thought he'd be on a resp for weeks...he was off it in 2 days! well, yesterday he had some major setbacks. his lungs and heart were doing very well...very strong! but yesterday afternoon, his heart stopped...but he's tough and stubborn and the docs got him going again! last nite was another story...his heart kept giving out numerous times, and they've had to put him back on the vent. he's not looking good, and we were at the hosp from midnite til after 3 this am. at least he's stable today...and he's a stubborn and strong old man!! which is good for his fighting chances! please keep him in your prayers!

:grouphug: :grouphug: Of course he and your whole family will be in my prayers! :grouphug:

You know, I loved the Submarines. Icky smell and all.

I can't wait to see the new Nemo ride there. Unfortunately, it won't be open when we go in a few weeks. :sad1: Maybe we'll get lucky, and get to do one of those .....arrgh, what's the word?.....one of the times they let people ride before they open it???

I'm also hoping to run into the Dream Team and get one of the Magical Fast Passes. :thumbsup2

Oh Wow ...I forgot about the smell till you just mentioned it ...eeewwww now I dont want to remember ...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Prayers for your family.....I hope he improves....

My reluctance over this process was highlighted last Christmas...grandma died the day after Christmas :sad1: Now she was a great lady but she had a host of health issues (hypertension, diabetes, mobility issues, stroke, heart murmurs, the works). She didn't have a lot but that didn't stop my 10 (remaining) aunts and uncles from acting like addes!!!! One particular aunt/uncle pair were like a Dachshund & badger! Nothing like the death of a matriarch to bring out the absolute worst in people!

This is exactly why my Mom went to Staples and bought a box of sticky labels. She is labelling who get what. The three of us know that if we dare fight over something, she will be back to haunt us.

This has been floating around the net for a while but someone just resent it to me......

And you also find out interesting things when you have sons, like ...

1. A king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. ft. house 4 inches deep.

2. If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.

3. A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant. ::yes::

4. If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 42 pound Boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 20x20 ft. room.

5. You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.

6. The glass in windows (even double-pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.

7. When you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh oh", it's already too late.

8. Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it.

9. A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies.

10. Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4- year old Boy.

11. Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.

12. Super glue is forever.

13. No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.

14. Pool filters do not like Jell-O.

15. VCR's do not eject "PB & J" sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.

16. Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.

17. Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when driving.

18. You probably DO NOT want to know what that odor is.

19. Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.

20. The fire department in Austin, TX has a 5-minute response time.

21. The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.

22. It will, however, make cats dizzy.

23. Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.

24. 80% of Women will pass this on to almost all of their friends, with or without kids.

25. 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid. :rolleyes1

Some of those are great :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I can't remember my first trip to DL. I know we went a few times as a kid. I remember a family road trip where we visited Magic Mountain, Knott's Berry Farm, then finally DL. I remember getting so scared by the Haunted House in one of the other parks that I refused to go in the Haunted Mansion at DL. I made my mother sit outside with me while everyone else went.

I have a few pics from a different trip. My mother's boss went down for a convention. She took her son and asked my mom if she wanted to bring me (spoiled baby of the family). We stayed at the DL Hotel. I think we only went in the park 1 day.

I took my son on his first trip on his first birthday. I knew it was mostly a trip for me, not him, but hey, who cares it's Disneyland! We didn't make it back until his 3rd birthday and we've been AP holders ever since (he'll be 12 this year).

awwwww all these older pics are making me want to go to my moms to pull out the albums and see how far back I can find some ......I may have to do that over the weekend ....

OMG too funny!

I have to say that my DS hasn't done any of those yet - however, when I was little I used to play with bugs and such and I can't tell you how many times my mom washed my clothes and ended up with worms and such all over the clothes.

If you see a CM giving out Dream FPs, don't be afraid to go up to them and ask if you can have one. It worked for me. Just make sure your whole party is with you. They will only give them to guests directly.

Have a great time and maybe you'll win something even better than a Dream FP.

:flower3: ..to lisa!..did you put your combat boots on before going?

* sorry.:blush: i guess neddless to say...your talk & my reactions sorta
revealed our knock-down fights with the schools...but i think parents
are vital for keeping our schools on track, just saw on the c. boards,
principla arrested for crack, and one of those nbc stings caught a
6th grade teacher, even one school near a big city "tried to covered
up" a handicap child being rape...so many tragedies could be prevented...
if "parents" demanded more responsbilities with the authority. [ my
baby brother is an award winner teacher...you keeps me advised, &
my strong feelings..wooow-izers, it's hard imagined him being so
"grown -up, it seem like yesterday, him drinking kerosline..&

anyhoo... for a positive outcome...{ they really need to look
at corrective measures instead ...of putting their heads in the sand }

* my latest was last year with our son'college professor..let's say in that
instance...i assumed the role of the educator...:rolleyes1

while by far, iam not a parent role model, iam happy that my kids are
not interested in drugs, etoh, even smoking..in fact lisa, the one above,
was also doing "grand jury duty"..one case was on the national news...
i think that being responsible. another of his classmate, is on our local
school board..he blew the whistle when the spent school monies on
lap tops- for themselves..like $65,000....so iam saying..we need our
youth! and those willing to care about their jobs!

you go!, cos it is important..to all our futures !

jeez...naptime is lasting a whole 20 mins again today! this is absolutely crazy!!! i have a daycare baby who does NOT know how to nap..he's only 3 months old, and i'm lucky to get him to sleep a total of 60 mins a day...that is way too little for such a small guy! i look forward to naptime as MY time...and i'm just not getting it with him here. i'm tired as it is, and i'm really feeling kinda grumpy today! he's in the other room starting to fuss right now...and i really just wish he'd go back to sleep!! ugh!

Delaware or some smallish town--she has this fascination with Cabot Cove (Murder She Wrote) and Stars Hollow (Gilmore Girls) type places.

You'll have to let me know when you find Stars Hollow...I'm moving in too!!!
I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to live there! :thumbsup2

It has been so much fun seeing the old pics of DL and reading about first experiences.

The first time Dh and myself were ever at WDW was on our honeymoon - we arrived at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 23 1992- Dh was 29 and I was 24 (we had deprived childhoods). Upon seeing Cinderella's castle for the first time I became 4 years old and the rest of the trip I felt like a child.

When we went we had no information - no Official Guide, no passporter, no nothing - except for a few brochures the TA gave us so we winged it and had the absolute best time. The worst moment came when we made our way over to Space Mountain and it was closed for refurbishment - I actually cried a little. Other than that we rode every ride - 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, the original Tiki Room, the SkyWay, Big Thunder Mountain, etc. We swore that we would go back in a couple of years but didn't make it until Oct. 16 1999 and celebrated our seventh anniversary there.

A few years ago I came across the video that DH shot and I had a blast watching it - it brought back so many memories.

Hang in there Shannon. Come back and vent whenever you need to.

DD has the Disneyland Sing-Alongs. It was made in the mid-80s and shows Skyway, PeopleMover, Old Tree House, Country Bears and Tom Sawyer's Island. Brings back a lot of memories for me when she watches it.

Also, the character costumes from the mid-80s were different. Fun to watch if you want DL memories.

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone is healthy and warm. Temp in NYC is @ 45 degrees, feels like Spring, My tulips are coming up. Snow is melting. Almost time to open the pool.

Thanks Todd!

Thanks Fairy Godmother!
