All of this talk about sterilizing things for baby, etc....reminds me of something I had heard from a female comedian once.....She talked about how with the first baby, the binkie falls in the dirt, you grab it, and boil it before letting baby have it back. Second baby....binkie falls in the dirt, you rinse it under the faucet and let baby have it back. Third baby....binkie falls in the dirt, you pick it up and lick it and let baby have it back. Fourth baby....binkie falls in the dirt, you send one of your other kids over to lick it and let baby have it back.

:lmao: :lmao:

That's cool Pete! I do remember that you're an ER Doc (to go along with Judy our ER Nurse). Do you make clothing?

No. I only go as far as costumes for the kids for Halloween, and minor things like hems, buttons, small repairs and POTC costumes.

Add xanax to the mix and you'll just pass out.

Alot of women I know who are afraid of flying only developed this fear after they had children.

This support group should include beverages.

Hmm, I do think my flying fear intensified after having children, especially when flying WITHOUT THEM. The first time I flew when my eldest was less than a year old (and stayed with my sister) I was only scared when we were going over WATER. (we went to cancun and it seemed we were over water for a long long time) I'm not really all that scared when we fly but I do a lot more thinking and praying when we fly without the kids, that's for sure... and start imagining what would happen to them if we both died in the flight/etc.

Just think of it, a mere 15 years ago no one had a cell phone and everybody did ok.

Yeah, because we never went further than we could hear our father whistling out on the front porch (dad's whistle was the signal get your butt home) :rotfl:

Um, hi!
*insert blushing emoticon here because I can't find it*

He was literally beating his chest this morning.... "I hunter, gatherer. I provide family with good meal." Really - he said that. He was very proud of himself. :goodvibes
:lmao: :lmao: Sounds like something my DH would do/say. (but he wouldn't have made that call LOL)

Watching AI right now.....am I the only one who likes Blake, the beat box guy? He's my pick so far!
I really do NOT like that type of music and especially with the beat box/scat stuff- but I really liked his performance and disagreed with simon on him. He actually made me like it, a little. LOL

Thanks Shelley that really helps! And no, my feet aren't narrow, there ain't nothin' narrow on me, except my mind! I gonna go order the 7! Thanks
cool... I bet they work better for you. :)

This one is in honor of Tina and Brooke's recent wonderful cruise...

Okay this "correction" in the Stock Market better be short-lived or it might threaten my TOAL

:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 Oh that's better........

I made a Tin Man costume for my ds when he was 3. Have you ever worked with lame`? I'm sure you have.....well it was the first time I had, and it was very difficult!

Howdy Mary! How are you tonight!

Night Andy!! Talk to you tomorrow!

Hey MR! I'm glad to be here ketchuping after a long day at work! I have to leave soon to pick up DS from Water Polo and then head to my Taekwondo class, but I wanted to at least have a moment to see what my DIS buds were up to.

It's very hard to work with. I don't like it. It gives a good effect when done right though.

The various pills I have taken to fly must have done something as the worst flight I was on was when I got the "bright idea" to fly to Egypt with oldest DD myself while I was pregnant and couldn't take anything.

DH was already there. His brother was getting married. I found out I was pregnant right after he left and I wanted to surprise him. Flight even had a stop in Germany so that meant 2 take-offs and landings. Plus it was winter and the weather was a little bad. Had to wait about 45 minutes on the runway. You know things aren't good when the flight attendents take 30 minutes after take-off to get out of their seats.:scared: Here my little 4 yo had to keep me calm. I still do not know how I made it back on the plane in Germany to make it all the way there and to come home.:rolleyes1

Took me 3 years to get back on a plane to go back to Egypt, and I haven't done it since so it's going on 6 years since I've been on a plane.

I can deal with everything but the landing - I hate it when the landing is rough. A few years ago we were flying to St. Louis for our convention and had to fly from Albany to Atlanta to St. Louis. Anyway there was some hurricane or other that was going on (cat 1) and when we landed in Atlanta I was almost reaching for the barf bag. The really funny thing is I was flying with one of the guys from work who has a real flying phobia and had run out of his meds. So during the take off and landings I agreed to hold his hand - when we got off the plane in Atlanta he had nail marks embedded into the palm of his hand.

:scared1: :scared1: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You crack me up! I have been waiting for a comment about this but not from you. :lmao:

I know what you mean Lisa. I thought for sure one of the swabbie would comments......you know how sensitive they are about their parts!!

Parts is parts.............but not to the swabbies :rotfl: :rotfl:

OMG :lmao: Butt Paste?? You mean like Preparation H? :lmao:

No, not really. Jonesing told a story earlier today about his Pediatrician prescribing "butt paste" or something like that for his ds when he had a diaper rash....

Funny.... I just finished watching the Tin Man episode of Stargate SG-1. You know the one were the team gets recreated as Harlan's maintenance crew.

But I'm thinking I probably shouldn't post that cause I might be considered lame. ;)

Ok, I hear that collective groan from the few who go it. I think I'll head off to bed. Don't post too much. Lately you've posted just enough overnight to keep me occupied on the bus to work.

So....we have an 18 hour car ride to look forward to.

:headache: :scared: I can't stand driving long distances anymore. DH wants to drive to WDW the next time we go - I told him to pick me up at MCO.

Here! Here! I totally agree. Our kids can sleep anywhere. To this day DD sleeps with lights on in her room and the radio on. They just learned how to sleep in any atmosphere.

I did this too. Both kids could be put in or out of their car seat and into their bed without waking up. DS slept thru Mass every week...easy kid for that. :thumbsup2 We went to the 3 pm show of Irish Thunder at BG every time we were there. With the quiet music & the A/C the kids fell asleep & slept thru the show. Great nap when we were out. :) They have both taken naps in their stroller at WDW and even fell asleep before Wishes last year.
