Golly . . I really hope Spelling Bee is a little more family friendly as we are taking DS12 & DS10 . . . We're in the Bible belt here so I think we'll be safe . . .:dance3:

I don't think they tone things down when they travel . . . there is certainly no nudity, but the "kids" in the spelling bee are hitting puberty and there is a lot of talking/singing about some of those issues (boys having to put their books down in front of themselves to prevent embarrassment, etc. -- wow, it's difficult to describe what kind of things without getting in trouble here on the boards!). It just depends on your tolerance for this kind of humor with kids that age, whether you will think it's appropriate or not.

I agree.....in my scrapbook, my dd hasn't even celebrated her 1st birthday.....in real life, she's 7.

My younger one has noticed that her baby scrapbook is nowhere near as thick as her older sib's. I keep telling her that it's because he's older & that her book will have more pages by the time she's that age. I figure by the time she realizes that she'll never catch up to his age, she'll be old enough to scrap the rest of the pages herself.

Yes, we're all fine. No damage reported on the tv reports yet.

These little ones are actually fun....guess it's the adrenalin (sp?) junkie in me. You just shake around a little bit then it's over. They actually make me sick to my stomach if I'm at work when it hits. Our building is on rollers that take the shock of the quake, which makes the building sway for a few seconds longer than the actual quake. I get motion sick.

But I'll take an earthquake any day over a tornado or huricane.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

You know, you have to make time for yourself too or you will burn out and be no good to anyone in your family . . .treat something you enjoy like scrapbooking as something you "have" to do every now and then for your mental health. Life can't be all housework and kid and animal care!

Great advice Julie...

I was so pleased that I finished 2005 a month or so ago and went to start on 2006 and found that I skipped 2004:scared1: .. oh well on to 2006 anyways...

What about the groundhogs? Do we really need those?

We need groundhogs. They are are good for insect control and preventing farm fields from compacting into hardpan. At least that's what the farmer told me when I asked that question. :confused3

Ours are only two school years apart so let us know if there is a cardboard box left over somewhere, okay?

I guess we will be first though as i have a sophmore and 8th grader now.. the college anvil is lurking over my head... everytime I think about an expense i weigh it against college tution... well almost every expense.. not the repo cruise.. that is a once in a life time event

I'm turning out the light, but I'll leave a night light on for you!

Well, let's just keep them off of this thread then. ;)

Beside, they are so darn cute when they are up on their hind legs in the middle of a field.

It is a very tempting invitation but I have become very protective of my THR (Total Hip Replacement) and from what I've seen of this sport that could do my hip in.

I will watch and take plenty of pictures ...... for the insurance claims!
:lmao:

LOL! Brack, once again you are the official photographer of the 2008 EB repo cruise. :thumbsup2
