I'm guessing that you, as a Vegas resident, must spend enough time in our fair city (Los Angeles, that is) to know that only goths wear black in August! Nothing against goths, whom I always find to be the most interesting subjects by far while people watching at Disneyland, but there is a generally a good reason to avoid black at that time of the year.

Well these Pirates be wearing Black ....and August is not that bad in Ca as it is in Vegas ...So maybe we might be considered Goth Pirates ....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: all 600 of us :lmao: :lmao:

So ...

... let me get this right... before you were 21 you were a street walker on Saturday nights looking to make the party rounds? I don't know what to think about that....

That about sums it up.

White was chosen for those that figured it would be extremely Hot on PC day , but you are more then welcome to wear Black if you wish ....I may also be wearing black ...it helps the illusion of a slimmer Captains figure :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

pirate:

You can't go wrong with black -- the slimming effect is always a plus!

This is moving pretty fast this afternoon! Too fast for a girl trying to get some work done!! LOL

But tomorrow will be a light day, so I'll be able to keep up!! :thumbsup2

In the meantime, I'll just have to do my best...

Remember the code mate , those that fall behind , get left behind :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm seeing groundhogs....:rotfl2:

Sorry, came back to edit my post since you probably don't realize that this has been discussed, at length, several times, by several different people. When we see the same thing over and over again, we are seeing groundhogs as in the movie Groundhog's Day.

Somebody go back to page 50 and see if she is back there...

I had to post that ever since I posed the question of how many have read all the postings - and we got several replies affirming that several folks have read everything... THAT, I am here reading to catch up on all the postings from yesterday... and I am on the point where it was about 5PM yesterday, and I don't know how many pages behind I am but it must be greater than 50.

At any rate... I think I'm gonna give up and skip to the front pretty soon.

Edited in ... OK, I'm only 42 pages behind...

I'm trying to be positive, so here is something to add to the list of things I will NOT miss about life in Alaska...

1. Filling my car with gas when it is -15. I did that this morning.

Right now it is 12:20pm, 13 degrees, 35 mph winds & windchill temp of -5.
Somebody remind me about this when I am complaining about the heat and humidity of DC this summer.

In like a lion indeed.
I'll be on the beach in Maui in 15 days . . .

I think I've found a way to challenge my kids (and spouse) for less money!

We have just discovered the Parks & Recreation programs... and we're enrolled to begin with a full array of activities come late March and April. We used to spend about $180-200 for either a month or two of an activity for our kids.... and with parks and recreation we cover all the expenses for 4 activities involving 2 kids and one parent on one joint mommy daughter activity. That included Gymnastics for 2, Karate for 2, Soccor and T-ball. So that is like havhing reduced our expenses by 83%.... so I am curious to see if we get at least 3/4s of the expected result for this kind of savings.

Well... I have to assume we are losing something for the savings... and that may very well be OK... as I figure if we had paid for 4 of the 6 activities then we are saving about $300-500 a month (depending on how we would have mixed it) and over the next 18 months that saves us $5,400~$9,000... and THAT is enough to pay for most if not all of PC cruise expenses. And in truth... we would have economized and just done 3 of the less costly activities or 2 costly ones.... so I am really looking forward to seeing what comes of the parks and recreation activities. :confused3

We use Conejo Valley Parks and rec for our oldest daughter summer activities. They offer everything from horse camp, Harry Potter Camp, Drama Camp. Much less expensive than other summer child care. We have done other activities with them as well. Glad you found this out Crash.

My dad walked behind us for a week filming our reactions to various thing throughout MK and EPCOT. Those tapes are now commonly referred to as "Smith Family Butts on Vacation" (not Smith, but you get the idea)
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

A lot of pictures like this one?? (Epcot, Oct 2003)

Though I have to admit this is one of my all time favorite pictures. (They're all even in step!) We're returning to WDW this year with this family. Kathy (mom to the kids on the left) and I were behind with the strollers. Our husbands have been best friends since grade school.

Good Boy!!

I did mention I have competative hunting dogs somewhere along the line? We can't keep small furry things for the same reason. And the cat's reason for existence is to teach the dogs to leave them alone. He (the cat) does a nice job of it - they're all terrified by him. We have a giant dog bed (5 ft x 3 ft) that will hold three large dogs, or one cat.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, I went to my meeting, made some calls and with very poor judgement got on the board "real quick" just to see if anyone had replied since I last was on about 4 hours ago.
I can't believe how many pages there are. I now agree with everyone who has warned me that I will never make it through all the posts. I don't think that I will be able to keep up with new ones!

First of all, thanks so much for being so welcoming, I am so cheezy that I got tears in my all from all the nice comments! :grouphug: :flower3:
Especially since my bra mishap was so fitting this morning! (And by the way, DisneyVegas1, who I think is Captain Jack, maybe named Todd? I wasn't TOPLESS! ;)

Anyway, how does anyone plan on getting ANY work done for the next 560+ days? :goodvibes

Back to work I go, I need to keep focused so we can pay for the trip!:upsidedow

Poohmom :hippie:

PS, I will try to work on getting the logo in my signature, once I figure out how to make a signature!

But you know, somehow I think you'd have gotten everything you wanted from your meeting had you gone topless!

Welcome aboard! You have a DD2? Maybe our kids can play together...assuming DS doesn't ask Capt. Tom to marry them! :faint:

Those are AWSOME!!!!! :goodvibes The kids didn't want to go on HM but because they have before we got them on it. ;) At the end DS was saying he was mad and scared to death. The CM at the end of the ride said "then you will be glad that you were scared to death because you are winners." My mind said ~ why are you breaking character like that? What is wrong with you? DH started jumping up & down yelling YEAH We are winners!!! We walked thru the doors at the exit to find a CM there with a fistful of the FPs handing them to everyone coming out. We were the first family to get them.

Very cool! We didn't see any Dream Teams when we were there the week before you.:sad2:

We don't have a Mr.Hero anywhere near us.....But one place I miss from back in Toledo is Olga's Kitchen......FGM, do you guys have those nearby? I know there are some in Michigan....

I am about 20 pages behind here, but thought I would answer as I go instead of waiting until the end. It is a very nasty day here. We have about 4" of slushy snow. It has been raining all day. Puddles are fun though.

Yep we have Oglas. Lots of them. I love the gyros!!!

Yes thats the delay tonight, so far so good, its all ok at this time, the doctor says there is still a chance of rejection of the skin graft but, at the moment he is pleased, thank you for asking.

GOOD NEWS.

Good to hear Andrew!
