All this planning is making me nervous!
Exactly when do I make sure I can get the time off?? Not the best thing to ask during a job interview! I hope I can negotiate the same deal I have here (or better). I get 4 weeks PTO a year, BUT we have a blackout Aug-Nov.
BTW, can I get a volunteer to update my resume and job hunt for me while I DIS?
So far, our plan is to fly in Fri. night & go to DL Sat. It is going to be difficult to pick which park. DCA is great, but I'm a traditionalist. I don't feel like I've been to Disney if I haven't walked down Main Street. We always hit MK on our first and last day when we go to WDW.
Hey M, I am sure that there are plenty of great jobs for you in DC. Everyone needs a PR chick there! Especially with the mad skills I know you have! I think most potential employers would be understanding especially if you tell them right up front. They'll respect your integrity.
If you only have one day, I would definitely focus on DL, especially if you've never been there before. I love DCA, but DL is still my favorite. I still feel like a five year old everytime I walk through the tunnel and onto Main Street.

DS will go to his room on his own to get away & let it out so that he can calm down. DD isn't so hot on that idea so we usually confine her to the chair or couch while holding her until she relaxes and calms down. I have smacked them before...though I don't like to. That is a tough area for me since I was abused as a child. My parents continue to deny it but I still have friends from those days who remember me coming to school with a black eye after I made a comment about my haircut. I believe that you learn how to raise your kids from your parents...so I am constantly working on learning better techniques to discipline and teach my children. It may appear that I am too easy on them to some, but I know the line that I cannot cross. I am always told by teachers & others how well behaved they are...so I must be doing something right. I wish that they would practice that behavior when they are with me more often but someone once told me that their behavior around other adults when you are around is what speaks the most for how you are raising them.
I am sure glad DH does not read this thread.

We finally got the last piece of paperwork I needed. The tax returns are a worse kid magnet than the phone.
I must have just read this four times.... you mean O'BWV ? Our DIS person? I'm still trying to figure out her name....
Most Chapters have a Starbucks in the store, so you caN buy a book and sip your coffee and enjoy! I got hooked on Starbucks at Chapters.
