I was supposed to have a fill-in and pedicure this morning. I had to cancel. i was installing a new floor (I am woman hear me roar!) behind our check out area Wed. and really sliced my left thumb with the cutter I was using. It probably needed a stitch or 4. But everyone be careful with those linoleum cutters that curved blade is wicked. I cut my leg also.
But the floor turned out great, got it at Sam's and you rubber mallot the squares together (great frustration reliever). I had to do alot of edge cutting.

Wow Paula. You go girl! I am very impressed by that. I bet it looks great.

To tell the truth.....NO. Never even considered it. It does sound interesting though CC.

I have been thinking about doing some remodeling or building an additio n to our home. And this solar power system is what my spouse came up with as the MOST COST EFFECTIVE home addition project. It also is one of the simplist and smaller ones to consider.

We got a lot going on this year so we already suspended the idea of building a full blown addition... and this seemed "bite size" enough to evaluate seriously. An addition would have cost a huge bit of change - plus huge inconvenience physically.

I was still thinking of building (at least) an enormous "utility shed" in back. Believe it or not... I really wanted a mini-cabana sized building... I was just looking at these tiny LOG CABINS last nite... there is this 342 sq foot log cabin ... and a varient with a 100' loft. We saw one completed near by (100 miles away) and it looked beautiful. This particular manufacturer had all kinds of artistic carved detailing on some of the posts and it had a fairy tale quality to it. I figure it would serve as a play house and true utility space for the family. However... if our association had any say so they would probably say "nyet"! This log cabin has yet to be priced or approved by the queen of our household. She has seen the model home already - but has not been consulted about building the tiny example in our back yard!

I can't "rip" any photos...
except the "Log Home" above.

The builder is "smart" and has all his pix in flash players

I'll have to take a pic and post it before I pack everything up. The person who asked me to make these, requested the t-s***** and pillowcases match, so it was quite simple, one design for both items!!!

Actually, the person who requested these will be sailing with us in August 2008, she just doesn't get on the thread to post very often. Hi Barb  if you are reading this your items will be on the way very soon.

OK, Hazel just called she is in her way home, so I've got to get moving and get these packed up if I'm going to get them to the post office before it closes today. Barb, asked if I could make these because her DD and some friends from college are spending a week at her house during Spring Break. They are having a POTC movie marathon one evening, so I came up with this design and she liked it. These were just made with iron-on transfers.

Gotta run

My Aunt lives in a log cabin community in the Cinninnatti area. They love it.

I tell you WHO is a Doctor Who fan and on the UK Dis goes by the name of Emporer Dalek!

ME

Watched I since I was a little kid, new series coming in April with Daleks in New York.!

Can I have the cake please!

Transferring the cake to your control... Andrew ... (sorry Carl),

I grew up watching Tom Baker play the Doctor. It was very memorable

however I have not seen the entire Baker series! I need to get the DVDs

and... might I add that I love the production qualities of the current series

with the players being of excellent quality. I've only caught ONE episode

of the current series... it had the Cats who were the medical experts of the

future... and it was pretty good. I'm hooked again off the strength of one

episode! Now can never find the time to watch it all - or DVR them so

again it means I'll have to buy the DVD sets.

The Cats one was the first one of the ''new'' series two, with David Tennant as the Doctor.

I grew up with Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, Tom became DW as his was the longest serving Doc.

The production was limited to a tight budget in the past, now with a better budget the programme has a second wind.

It used to be on 5pm Saturdays, now its 7pm Saturdays peak time, and also peak time on Christmas day.

I loved it as a boy and love to see my kids enjoy it now.

Look out for the Cybermen and the Daleks!

Thanks Mary, it turned out quite well.:cool1:
Has anyone else done the WDW screensaver for a year of dreams, its great, Disney pictures can be mixed at random with your own pictures in your computer, put together they make a great screensaver.

I've been hunting for episodes on my cable channels to DVR. Too bad I have not figured out how to rip DVR'd content to DVDs. That would be too easy in saving some $, eh? Then again, I don't mind getting the DVD sets. As an enthusiast I regrettably can never find the time to see everything I want to catch. Then again... I want to see the fun episodes again and again. I actually have several Baker episodes on VHS... but now I never watch VHS anymore. SO - everything is now digital on DVDs.

I will be watching for the latest episodes with the Daleks and Cybermen!

EXTERMINATE!!!!

gotta run now...
... we're supposed to meet friends in town in just under 90 minutes!

Great job Paula, but sorry about your finger. Those cutters really are dangerous - we put vinyl tiles down in our kitchen and bathroom and learned first hand how potentially lethal those cutters are!

Your looking in the same place as me I have most Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker ones on VHS, bu they do lookold against the new shows.

All I'm hearing is blah, blah, blah, Dr. Who.

Does the good doc play rugby perchance?

Although the production qualities are dated... the memories remain glorious! Get the DVD sets and relive a little of our early years!!!
