Jim's pranks......Dwight being strange......& Michael's stupidity....I laugh so hard sometimes my stomach hurts.....

I did see that....a real departure for him.....

Does anyone remember Rainn Wilson when he was on Six Feet Under? He is just terrific, and so funny in so many ways. I can't wait to see how he does on SNL this week.

Now I think FOX is making a pilot of one of our BBC comedy's The Vicar of Dibley, it stared one of our comedy actresses Dawn French about a lady vicar, it is very funny, and was our No1 show last Christmas, watch out for it to make it a full series!

Alley to star in US Dibley remake

Kirstie Alley won an Emmy for her role in Cheers
Former Cheers actress Kirstie Alley is to play the lead role in a US version of hit BBC comedy The Vicar of Dibley.
Alley, 56, will star as a preacher who returns to the small town where she grew up as a teenage rebel.

The Fox TV network will make a pilot of The Minister of Divine - co-produced by Vicar of Dibley creator Richard Curtis - before deciding on a full series.

Dawn French took the lead role in the UK version, which will end on Comic Relief night on BBC One on 16 March.

The final two full episodes of The Vicar of Dibley came top of the British ratings for the Christmas period.

$26 million???? Yikes! This is still, like, a place where you sleep and eat and such, right?

Yeah but it's a place where you get to eat and sleep in The City! :rotfl:

DW still recoils from that episode of Flip That House where the flipper bought a 0br 1ba shack in South Central LA for $189,000 dollars!!! Yes, you read right, ZERO bedrooms! He expanded the place by adding 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. I think he spent $50k in upgrades and was going to list the house for $300,000!!! :scared:

I forgot to share my Tarjay finds yesterday!!! I was so excited about them too!!! I went in to get that new Listerine rinse for the kids that leaves color where they didn't brush well enough. As long as I was there...I looked to see if there was anything left from the 90% markdown on Vday stuff Monday. They just put the 90% up that morning!!!! There was still a lot left. :)

I had stopped in girl's clothes first & found a demin jacket with the heart tags...1.49. In the back I found gift bags .19, polor bear stuffed animals .69, nice red mugs .59, a kelly doll cupid .49, sweetheart boxes for the kid's classes next year .19 for 8 boxes, dark chocolate expresso bars for DH .20 (can't believe anyone actually paid $2 for them...must have used the coupon online before this!), denim skirt .99, 2 peasant tops for DD .89. Non Vday stuff...the bedding is marked down for the new reset. I only saw one set of the jersey sheets...had the knomes on them...DS laughs at them in the AR commercials at the end for travelocity. :lmao: They were only 50% > 14.98 now but lots of twin sheets to wait for DD's room. I went thru the rest of the store looking for other hidden deals...IOW things that someone stashed so that they could get them at the 90% mark down. ;) I found 2 more red mugs, 2 packs of heart shaped paper plates .22, and a 200 picture photo album that matches some of the others that I always get for our cruise pictures 1.29!!!! Oh, I also found a ton of the Ponds facial wipes 60 of them marked down to 1.68! :)

I didn't go today...no need. ;)

You must have some patience - there are times when I just get so frustrated looking for the bargains that I just walk away. Other times I have found them without even looking. A few years ago I needed a dress for a special work event and I had gone all over looking for something and couldn't find anything I liked. On the off chance we went into Sears and they had a dress that fit (I was about 40 lbs heavier than I am now) and looked good - only problem was it was more than I wanted to spend, but I was desparate as it was the day before. Anyway, I cave and go to checkout and the $110 dress rang up at $5.40!

My girls and I stayed at the DLH last June on our trip to Cali . . .we liked it quite a lot, and at the time if you got a package at one of the DL hotels with park hoppers through AAA you could get unlimited fastpass (unbelievably great -- you could get fastpasses at every ride in the park simultaneously), but they no longer offer this. The Neverland pool area at the DLH is great and we found it easy to walk everywhere. If you have any specific questions about our experience at the DLH, ask away . . .

I would have liked that fastpass, at DLP, hotel New york, they gave us fastpasses not unlimited, but to be used on any fastpass ride, at any time.

Say Andy.
I remember you were speaking about Angelina and how she had low self esteem due to being adopted and all. Well funny thing is all my friends growing up were adopted including myself and we really didn't get the having the baby the real way thing.:rotfl: In fact we didn't really know too many kids that weren't adopted. We had our own little club so to say. We thought every baby got picked out by their parents because they were special. I must say, we all did at one time or another question why were were given up, but we all eventually got over it.GRowing up in the 50's and 60's was too much fun to stress over things like that.:hippie:
Some of my friends actually sought out their birth mothers and I can tell you that they regretted it and were sorry they did. We never questioned the fact that the parents we grew up with were not as precious as if they had given birth to us.As giving birth to a child doesn't assure a good and loving parent.
I know that you and Hazel are probably 2 of the best loving and giving parents and one day Angelina will really come to terms with that if she hasn't already done so.
My mom had a book that she used to read over and over to me about adoption. She still has it scurried away somewhere.I know Jamie Lee Curtis wrote one for her kids as well. Most teens go thru some sort of angst. This is just probably hers.
Just my .02

I love Vicar of Dibley!

The California deal was incredible . . . I would get in the park and make a circle, getting fastpasses for every single ride . . . then when we would get off a ride if there were still fastpasses I would get more to that one . . .it was beautiful! I don't know if they will ever do a deal like that again with AAA, but it was worth the higher prices (to me)to stay onsite with that deal. Without it, I have to say that many of the hotels on Harbor Blvd are just as close to the parks as DLH and PP, so the higher price may or may not be worth it. Of course if you plan to use DVC points to stay that's another reason for staying onsite.

that sounds interesting - now if we could only get Dawn French to do it instead of an American!!! Love French and Saunders - and was addicted to Ab Fab !!!!!:)

Dawn French was hilarious in Vicar! I'm having a real problem seeing anyone but her in the role.

Yaaaaarrrrggggg!

Oh you see it good, love the little jokes at the end, WILL NOT be able to post them here but on BBC before 9pm, ( our kids watershead hour).

Those jokes are the best! I've actually told a few here and there over the years. I've got this down as one of must haves for DVD.

Yes she made it her own we get the very last bit ever on Comic Relief night early March.

That will be something very special and I'm sorry to say will not be seen on this side of the pond. The last episodes I saw that were "new" to us were from a few years ago when Alice and Hugo had baby Geraldine. We generally get them a few years after you on some of our PBS stations in addition to the BBC channel (which I don't get - no digital cable or satellite haven't been able to convince DH it's worth it yet).

QUESTION TO EXPERTS ON DISNEYLAND CL!!!!!!!!!

I saw discussion a few days back, in 2005 I sayed at the Grand Californian I enjoyed that a lot, went to Disneyland hotel once, and looked ok, i am thinking of that for 2008.

I see it has three towers, any problems, how do they allocate where you stay, is the walk long from the furthest one? I did walk also to Paridise pier, nice hotel but I have discounted that one as it was accross the road.

Views?

Ever since they built the Grand Californian, that's where we've stayed, because I love the convenience of being right at the parks. But....we needed a one bedroom suite (with two bathrooms) for the visit next month, and the GC just doesn't have that. They have some huge wuites, but they're geared more for meetings and way over priced. So we're staying back at the DL Hotel for the first time in years. I'm not looking forward to the long walk, but at least for Disneyland Park, we can use the monorail.
The walk from the furthest building is not that much worse than from the closest building, only a matter of a couple of minutes.
Unless you ask (and pay more for) a particular room, like the Marina Suites, it seems that it's very random as to which building you are placed in. We always ended up in the furthest one, so I'm almost betting that as luck will have it, that's where we'll be again.
We've never stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel, as years ago (before they built the GC Hotel) it wasn't even a Disney property. There is no longer a "short cut" from there into California Adventure, so it's automatically "out" in my book.
We've always had a pool/koi pond/dancing water view in the Bonita Tower. I'm really hoping for theme park this time. All of the "inner" rooms overlook the pool. Some only look at the parking lot and streets, and some toward DL and CA. It's a crapshoot, I think, as far as their standard rooms go. I know at the GC, you can request theme park or DTD view, but I don't know if you can at the DL Hotel.
