I just bought a fish extender from ebay since I couldn't find one at the Christmas tree shop. The only problem is, it's too wide so I think I might cut it down & resew it. I'm not very crafty & I don't know how to use a sewing machine, but I might be able to hand sew it. :confused3

I like this alot ... too cool......:cool1: :cool1:

That means it is a Large and will fit men's size 8-9, so womens 10-11.

When I posted the deal I didn't realize that the Small and Med adult sizes were pretty limited. I missed out too since neither of us wear kids sizes.

Glad that I have been undecided about those then. I wear a 7-8 too. Oh well! Maybe I will get a smaller size for DD then.

Well, I am going to try to get some sleep. I need to get on a better sleep schedule again.

:worship: WOW, an old Leica.

Nikon snob here too. (bulk rolled agfa & printed on Ilfa in college too).

I didn't go digital until 5 months ago. Until the D80 came out, there wasn't anything (choke, cough) affordable that produced the quality photos I want.
Before that I mostly shot with my Nikon N60. I LOVE my D80 (10.2 MEGA PIXELS, people!). It's nice that I can still use the gabillion dollars worth of lenses I collected for my N60. I love that you can go almost fully manual with the N60 & the D80 - that's still how I shoot most often. I'm a control freak. I also have a late-'60's model Nikon my Dad got in Vietnam. The thing is a TANK! I usually have a roll of B&W in it.

OK - back to the pros & cons of plastic shoes.

I'm an ex-Nikon snob... I shoot with a Canon DSLR and Canon compacts as backups. I shoot a ton of pix with all my gear and I've even made a little money too. But the majority of my production which is not for personal use is donated. Many for fund raisers and such.

As such, I am not too deep in equipment, and as for my old Nikon gear ... it's all Ai manual stuff from the early 80s.

Similar, but older. The "trim" is brushed silver-ish metal.
I love that camera. It got me though photoj school.
I like the versatility of digital, but there is nothing like the moment that an actual film print starts to appear in the chemical tray. Holding your breath . . .to see what you have captured . . .

I faced motherhood reality about 3 years ago and sold the enlarger I'd been schlepping across the country for the last 10 years. I always had visions of a home darkroom. Oh well.

Mary I got the following from The Police Fan Club today:

LA dates announced:

13 June McAfee Coliseum, Oakland, CA
23 June Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles

Fan Club member presale 2/23/07

General public tickets sale date not announced yet.

I'll let you know though!

MR, thanks so much! That is going to be perfect. DH's 45th birthday is June 27, so I think I will take him as a Birthday surprise! I always have such a hard time figuring out what to get him. This will be a great way to celebrate. We can pretend it's the 80's and we are still hip and young.

Where'd everybody go??

Is there a virtual Deck 7 party nobody told me about?

Yeah, I saw they only had the big sizes in only 2 colors for adults. What a bummer!
I was, however, able to order a pair for my younger two children... atleast I saved some! I'll have to order the rest on the other website I suppose- unless another bargain comes up before I get around to it. I just went up a size over the crocs they have now- because the crocs they have now I had them "try on" again and they are still with a little room to grow. And crocs are technically not supposed to fit loose- so I figure going up a size, plus the room they have to grow already in the ones they have now, hopefully these will still fit them by the time of the cruise. Unless they hit a growth spurt-and so far in their 9 and 6yrs they've never just shot up on shoe size. I guess it could happen. But doubtful for the youngest and worst case scenario- his will fit her if they both go thru huge feet growth spurts. I can't get the oldest a pair though because her crocs she has now are size 5 women's... and those aren't available.
I normally wear 7.5 or 8 in shoes- my crocs one pair says size 7 and 2 pair say size 6-7, so I definitely can't be wearing those large sizes they have available there. Maybe dh though.. hmm, wonder if he'd wear the mickey ones? Probably not, I barely got him to wear the regular ones on the last trip.

Well...

... as luck would have it the adult sizes will not fit my size zero spouse, and it seems as if the XL ladies sizes will not fit my size 9.5-10 EE duck feet. Besides.... I'm not partial to the pink/pearl or mary jane color options. Now ... if they had a mens' size in black then I would have bought a pair in a heart beat. As for the kids... I am a little reluctant to make a selection as the kids feet are so foreign to me. I'll just wait til my spouse gets home tomorrow nite. Which brings me to a novel "aside"... I thought she was coming home on thursday nite and not tomorrow... so if not for her call to remind me ... there is a tiny chance she might have been waiting a long time to be picked up... NOT! As in... not in this day of cell phones and such!

At any rate... I am very happy to have my sweetheart returning home a day earlier than previously expected. So far so go where she is at tonight... as the medications dosed are being tolerated well. I think she referred to it as one of those "beta blocker" innovative magic bullets... (I confess to being non-technical and I forget how she described the phamcological cocktails that were being employed).

SO TTFN... I'm gonna work my way backwards to try and catch up a little...

and LOOK....

... it's almost time for one of those "taboo" minis....

ready...

get set...

It's 9th grade all over again.
Minis have been banned.

yeah...

... I actually inherited an enlarger which I used in the bathroom with towels stuffed under the doors to keep the light out. I really enjoied enlarging at the school lab... I was pretty passionate about my photography back then and now. However... I never had the money to do anything but B&W. I day dreamed about playing with ... (was it called)... ciba-chrome?

SO now I have substituted the creative enlargeing process with the digital manipulation and incredible volume I can manage at relative low unit costs... after the considerable up front investment in equipment ... that is.

Good night. I have got to get some rest.

I was thinking...

... maybe I can get her something special to welcome her home. Maybe I could get her a huge lobster like this one...

I don't know - but I think it would be nice to have something modest to welcome her home...

Well Crash, in addition to running our Taekwondo schools, DH is also a commercial lobster fisherman. Unfortunately the season is coming to a close and he just pulled his traps in or I'm sure he would have been happy to help, although I must say that CA lobster don't get nearly that big. I think flowers would be really nice. You are very sweet!
