No sooner did I enter this than I got a call from the school. They called to tell me that the driver forgot to drop off the kids & will be coming back by in 8- 10 minutes.

Okay, back to work for me. Getting ready for a trip IS work! Changing sheets and cleaning the bathroom, etc, for the dog sitter....finishing the packing, making sure we have all the tickets, banking done, gas in car....sheesh.......I bet I sleep on the plane, and for me, THAT'S something!
That's me, a nervous flier!

We have about the same. I'm particularly bummed because they were part of my emergency stockpile of food to get us through an ice storm...and we're still stuck at home because of an ice storm.

crazy question...i haven't been able to follow this thread too closely..i really tried, but there is just no way!! so my question is: what is everyone here's occupation?? i'm sure it was asked thousand and thousands of posts back, but i'm outta the loop!
i do in home child daycare...and right now..kids are taking a very late nap do to play time outside earlier!!!

I own and am the sole operator of a soft furnishings for the Home workroom. In other words I design, make and sell soft window treatments (not blinds), pillows, duvets, dust ruffles etc.

How on earth does the driver forget a stop? Is it a substitute driver for some reason?

Well, I think I might be checking in to that. Glad you know where they are though. Horrible feeling when the kids are not home when you think they should be.

Seriously, I'm involved in the R&D side of the pharmaceutical industry. I'm in NJ. What else am I suppose to do? Waste disposal?

Say what??? Least the school called. Good thing they knew what was going on. I still don't get it, how do you forget you have kids to drop off? Mine is never quite long enough for me to forget.

I'm a Human Resource Manager for a high-tech electronics manufacturing company. We've got 700+ employees nationwide. I have site responsibility here in Western, MA, but support the whole Services organization spread across the whole country.
