Never had anything done like that. How do you go about having something delivered to your stateroom. We are flying in too and I hate Coke would love to have some Pepsi or Vernors on board.

For the 10nt this past Sept we shipped (UPS) 4 boxes of stuff --- I think two of those boxes were Pepsi, Diet Mt Dew & Dr Pepper! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And do not forget all the wine too.:rotfl2: I sent a private pm to you.:thumbsup2

Hearing all the stories about flying problems yesterday, I thought you all would enjoy this. Hope it is okay to post.

Just in case you need a laugh:

After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripesheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by Qantas' pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.

By the way, Qantas is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.
P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
P: Aircraft handles funny. (I love this one!)
S: Aircraft warned to: straighten up, fly right, and be serious.
P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
And the best one for last..................
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget
These were good!!! :rotfl2:
I think I mentioned this before. I read on another thread months ago where the cruisers were trying to get water shipped to the port. They ordered it from Staples who shipped for free but then suddenly all the orders were cancelled as I think the warehouse wouldn't accept the water?I think we need to find out where we can ship to at the port and whether they will accept packages.
Hey, I'm there with you, I will also be bringing my Pepsi on board.:love: :woohoo:
I had some pepsi delivered to my stateroom on the last cruise, since the airlines have that no liquid over 3 oz in carryons. I did not trust the checked luggage enough to pack it in there.
That's why I always have to hunt down a place to buy it before we go to the port. Last time on the Mexican Riviera, we could still carry it on the plane.
I know that there's a COSTCO near the port....am hoping to get it there.
BUT....we also bought extras in Mazatlan....so if all else fails, we'll get it there.
I know we already had the 'who drinks what' conversation a few thousand posts back, but I just wanted to say I'd rather drink sewer water than Pepsi. Wait a minute -- Pepsi WAS the one with the "brown and bubbly" advertising campaign. Hmmm...
I'll remember to bring some sewer water for when you visit my stateroom.;)
Shame on ME! That was actually a very LISA-ish thing to say!
She is the cutest!!!! Glad you are staying out of the cold. We have a heat wave here. It is 2 degrees above zero. We still have 9 inches of snow on the ground.
What make you evil Twin Evil:confused3
He's a big fan of Cruella De Vil :scared1: :eek: :scared1:
Hey Crash we can have this discussion over a cup of coffee or what am I saying a Drink of the day. Inside margins excluding lottery are very good, it is the gas that drags our ROI down. Our biggest uncontrollable expense is the interchange fees that Visa etc.. charge us. Most of the time the cc companies are making more cents on the gallon than the station owner.
Paula
I can remember when we would look up credit card numbers in a monthly booklet of stolen numbers - and used the manual sliding card embossers on multi-part forms to charge folks. AND... we used to decline AMEx peso cards because they ... paid in Pesos! Ahhh... the good ol' days of 35+ years ago!
I grew up in a family business that sold mostly furniture in about 5600 sq feet. We averaged at or just below 1KK - but with our margins the living was cozy. Not filthy rich... but cozy enuf. I lived in a "go to work 365 days a year" environment. We never took vacations or breaks for anything... that was my norm... and in my own business today I have the had the same mentality... work 365 days a year...,
That is... until my kids came along... now I am virtually 180 degrees turned about now...
I'll PM ya - lets get some coffee... I might have some ideas on shaving your CC fees... some even unconventional (but probably nothing new to you)...
I gotta run my kids to school and the spouse to the airport right after that... if she knew I was posting here she would probably stomp a foot and give me them lightning bolt looks... (shes' so sexy when she gets that way - don't tell her I said that anyone!!!)...
As long as Disney continues to realize people want "The Real Thing" and serve it for free, there will be no need for me to seek an alternative, but thanks for offering to buy me a Pepsi.
Tom your evil twin name is Captain Crunch------you always come in at crunch time ...:lmao:
My father is returning from Tampa, FL today to Syracuse,NY (where there is at least 14' of snow. I think when the plane lands and he sees the snow he will ask to stay on the plane and return to Fl. I wouldn't blame him.).
Have a safe and warm day everyone and stay warm!:grouphug:
I need help!!!
:wizard: hope your dad gets in OK today:wizard: - they are still saying there are many cancellations! The snow hasn't stopped here - and Lake Effect is moving in behind it - tell him to take it easy when he gets in, roads are slippery and it is VERY windy!!!:)
I am really regretting putting my DD on the bus this morning!!!
I can't catch up today.......:upsidedow
Oh no, I'm doomed...nobody is going to want to swap with me :rotfl:
Mary
LOL! That's not how it works. :) If there are 10 people signed up you each make 10 of whatever theme you signed up for. The items are in a baggie & you each leave with one of each. :thumbsup2
Ok Lisa, your daughter was born 2 days before our youngest daughter and now we find out that your anniversary is 2 days prior to ours (10/27/90). We have you by a couple of years but that is kindof freekie. :eek:
LOL! Hmmm....afraid to find out what else! :lmao:
I finally got caught up. I had to watch Lost!!!! Next week looks like answers to questions but then more questions tonight. Its like this thread,addictive and you never get caught up!!!!
Wasn't that shocking last night!!! :scared1:
Good evening everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I spent my day in downtown L.A. attending a meeting for my job. Lot's of blah, blah, blah with a two and half hour commute through bumper to bumper L.A. traffic each way. Not my ideal way to spend Valentine's Day.
But, when I dragged in at 8 p.m. tired and grumpy, I found a dozen beautiful pink roses waiting for me.:flower3: My DH also let me take his car today since I was driving some coworkers and when I came home I discovered he had detailed my car inside and out!:love:
What a sweetie! Now all I need is my jammies and a glass of wine and I will feel all better!
I see everyone has been posting up a storm today. I'll have to get caught up tomorrow!
What a sweetie he is! :love:
YIPPEEE!!!!! Mark (disneypilots) just let me know that he gets to come home tonight.:cool1: :cool1: AND he has tomorrow and Monday off of work. :cool1: I'm sure he will still be dealing with problems via the phone but at least he will be home.
:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:
YUP, it was still there. I had it soldered to my engagement about a month after the wedding!!
I had that done before the wedding but it almost wasn't ready in time to pick up the day before! We had to wait at the store for them to do the job. :mad: :sad2:
