Oh, and I also forgot to add (in case it wasn't already bad enough) that he asked if he could use MY credit card to order jewelry for his "girlfriend", and he would give me cash!!!!
(Because he didn't want the lawyers to see on his credit card statement that he ordered jewelry from Tiffany's. )

Needless to say, I promptly replied "NO!".

Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone

I would hate to be the florist delivery person today. Our roads are just awful. They cancelled school, and it has been sleeting, freezing rain and snow since very early this morning. Although, where I am going skiing next week for school vaction is getting 2-3 feet of JUST SNOW

I'm a little sad they cancelled school, since I had a party and crafts planned for my day care kids (All my day care Mom are teachers so when school is cancelled I am not open). Tomorrow, one of my kids don't come and also I am getting my new baby (6weeks old) for the first day , so I don't know how much undivided attention I can devote to working with the older ones.....Oh well, I had good intentions.

Monica - a couple hundres pages back, you posted a link to where a fellow DISer gave an in-depth report on DL/DCA and I just wanted to say, THANKS . It's stuff like that that makes this such a great community. The work and time that person must have put into that. Unbelieveable.

I tryed to catch up, but I am so far behind I have given up. I'll do the summary route.

I do hope everyone that is feeling sickly gets better real quick. No fun being sick

Half of our department (we're HR) call edoff today. Many were talking yesterday that if we got the snow they wouldn't be in. If I had more time i won't be here either!

My company ended up closing. Our inclement weather policy is to call in to one person's voice mail to find out what the status is, this morning they told us to not come in and call back after 10 for an update. I called back and got my boss (it's his extension) who told me to not even attempt it, it's that bad. Now they're saying this isn't going to stop until sometime tomorrow.

Yeah, we will have to pretend that we are looking at our pc screens! If someone talks too slow I will try to resist the urge to hit them upside the head like I do my pc, not knowing if it's my pc slowing down or the boards! LOL!

just stopping by to see what is happening around here...at work right now and they were supposed to let us go home early..i work in nyc....yeah right..that didn't happen...

our CEO says, "oh, it doesn't look bad outside"

me" yeah...try traveling to the suburbs it looks alot worse where I live"

CEO, stares at a spot above my head, smiles, nods, and walks away...

LMAO..he is soooo strange

oh well, i'm not gonna work anyway...lol

Hi all!

I just got a call from Andy (Verandah Man) & he wanted you all to know that he lost power & is unable to post. Apparently there was a car accident & a pole got knocked over. He doesn't know how long the power will be off, but if it goes into this evening, he will be getting a hotel room. I guess it's really snowing there again & the roads are awful, but the temp is really dropping in his house & they don't have a fireplace, generator, or anything.

Sending best wishes that the power comes on soon for Andy!

Where is Andy?

It's been the weirdest winter in MN - almost no snow to speak of...No big storms that I remember...Cold of course.

We are going on the 7 day eastern for spring break - we leave 3/31. This year is so weird I wouldn't be surprised if we have snow...

Count us in to bring some good tasting wine bottles...I love wine but don't drink it anymore as I am trying to be HEALTHY!! HOW BORING!!!

But I will def forget it for this cruise. I can't WAIT to party with you people on PIRATE NIGHT!!!!!!!
