Dianne - If this lasts for a few hours, you might want to call Andy back & tell him to turn his faucets on (slow drip/very small stream) so his pipes don't freeze.

It pays to know someone in Alaska! We had to do this in Dec. when it was -20 & our power was out for 6 hours.

Oddly enough, we had to do that a couple of times this winter...in Arizona! Our ground is almost solid rock, so the pipes aren't buried very deep, and we had two hard freezes.

WOW frozen pipes in AZ, ya learn somethin' new every day! I grew up in a land of cold winters & I never knew the 'turn on the faucet' trick until I moved to Alaska. Maybe I'm just slow.

Happy Valentine's Everyone!! Thank you so much for the "Welcome Aboard."

We have an AP for DL and I take DGS Matt quite often (went on Mon.and are going again next Mon) - so if there is anything I can check out for anyone over the next year or so just let me know. Including lodging in the area.

Hope all of you struggling with such awful weather keep safe & warm. Think tropical breezes and Bahama Mama's!

Darlene--I got so sick that night! I was the only one of my family to get sick and I think it was because I got up at 12m to take the empty hangers out of the closet as they were banging into each other. By the time I returned to bed.....ugh! I did NOT feel good!

I remember that from the Halloween cruise discusion!!! Luckily, I don't get sick because I was up and down all night!!! I was so scared - I was determined I was going to cancel the cruise we had booked on board!!!!, but was saner in the morning when it was all over!!!
