My DD is sloooowly on the mend thank goodness!

Something exciting happened today (exciting to me anyway). Me & DH were able to get tickets to see The Police on Aug 3 at Madison Square Garden! I know I mentioned the other day when they were on the Grammys that we LOVE The Police so we are excited. We got floor seats and we are seeing seats similar to our selling on Ebay for $1500 - $3000. Now we LOVE The Police alright, but if the prices hold, we ain't stupid......Well sell our tickets to help pay for the Trip Of A Lifetime! There's nothing I like more than $3000 I tell ya! Arrrrrg......

I recently sold a pair of Lakers tix on EBAY for about $550... not much thinking there... and if you had a pair of Police tix that could fetch $1500-3000...why couldn't you just sell the set you got and replace them with lesser tix and pocket the difference ... and in effect get a free Police concert? Granted ... not in the same location... but the arbitrage opportunity seems good.

That is... unless you're a die hard Police fan...​

I would pocket the profit... buy every Police concert DVD and kick my feet up and stretch a little...

and... even though someone else is certain to have already responded ...

This is over a day late but the boards went down last night when I was posting it:

1) What is your FAVORITE SMELL???

Cinnamon. Not rolls, just cinnamon

2) What are you having/HAD for Dinner tonight? Roasted Turkey dinner at Mimi's Cafe, across from Disneyland with a view of Space Mountain and the Tower of terror.

3) If you could have ANYTHING for dinner tomorrow - what/where would it be? Meatloaf at Shutters in Vero Beach. Yummy!!!


4) If you could fly anywhere for a day - one day - all expenses paid - where would you go - what would you do if naming ONE thing while on this travel fling? Tokyo, Disney of course.

5) Who is your FAVORITE Disney Character? Piglet and Dumbo

6) What is your favorite number - if yo have one? 13

7) What is your astrological sign? Gotta find an image to post if you're handy at things like that too! Sagittarius

... I share your inclinations for cinnamon... my reply was cinnamon sticks in hot apple cider. Bringing the mug closer just before I take a sip is intoxicating in a pleasant way...

... I was the nut who proposed the last two 7 questions series for fun and ... in this case... to help jolt the thread closer to 20,000. I had figured if we had 20 ( or 40) DIS folks responding... and IF some folks spread their 7 replies over seven postings then we'd heap on a quick 140- 280 postings. It would look sort of ugly... but it would move the count up in a hurry.

... then more reasonable minds prevailed... and we backed off of the fluff games.... (I got a gentle slap on the wrists for instigating multiple lines of fluff)... hence I exercised extreme restraint in NOT posting up to the 20,000th ... until the very end when I slipped in one just before and then MISSED the 20,000th posting by one spot.... ARrrrRRGHhHH!

Oh well.... my 7 questions thing was still a fun diversion for a few folks to pick up a few harmless tid bits about each other.

OK... now I'm back to working my way through todays' posts til the board shuts down...

1) What is your FAVORITE SMELL??? Strawberries

2) What are you having/HAD for Dinner tonight? Baked Chicken with a white sauce (she didn't liek the sauce and scrapped it off), Carrots and a salad.

3) If you could have ANYTHING for dinner tomorrow - what/where would it be? Live Dungeness Crab cooked Chinese style with ginger and green onions, and some veggies!!! As for where... any of several good Chinese restuarants in Los Angeles or Monterey Park/Alhambra

Hong Kong, and I would do a shopping spree (Crash interjecting... my spouse is a size 0 or 2 petite - so in HK she can walk into any store and find everything in her size... including some nice well made clothes, not to mention everything else you would expect in any big city.)

Just went on the school district homepage and found out that our schools are on a two hour delay start.

I just called and took a Personal Day, ain't NO WAY I'm walking around in this mess. I nearly slipped and fell just going outside to see if my newspaper was here yet. It's horrible outside, a layer of ice on top of the sn*w that fell yesterday, and more sn*w expected before this storm moves out of the area. This is some CRAZY stuff!!!

Be Safe if you have to be out in this mess.

Good Morning all!

Happy Valentine's Day.

It's been a mix of sleet/freezing rain/snow all night. We're also under an ice warning till 10AM. I plan on heading into the office a bit later then normal. While I have a 4-wheel drive, it does nothing when it comes to ice.
