So...

..,. R U doing bothe PC voyages in '08? :confused3 Did I read that correctly?

Yup - courtesy of Vegas baby - did I tell you that DH is extremely lucky? Actually - I got lucky on New Years and won my first ever "large" pot - the bad news to that? I am now in the system! :sad2:

However, the good news - I used the winnings to pay all the deposits for 2008 - we will be traveling as follows: 1 Cabin in May, 4 cabins in July - our 2 and my FIL & MIL (plus 1 friend's cabin) and then another one in August - Now if I can figure out how to pay for it - good thing we have 18 months!

We added up the sailing days and I'm going to surpass my 1st year of cruising by 3 days - In 2008 - out of about 90 days of summer - I will have sailed for 37 of those - LOL - I love life!!! :rolleyes1

I just counted- one of the lines is duplicated (so yes, I saw that) but we so far on the LIST (which probably isn't everyone on the ship that is a DIS'er) consists of 55 assigned rooms and 66 gty status rooms. That's 121 rooms and that equals 13.8% of all the available rooms. Pretty impressive so far!

On the 11 nite sailing last September I was walking the ship with my DIS neighbor passing out fish extender stuffing novelties and treats - we had a couple of strollers in use to carry the stuff and we eventually picked up a ships officer shadowing us. THAT was security.... no Q about it. Of course, we were making our rounds at something like 2AM.... which for my DIs neighbor and I amounted to only 11PM since we were both from Caifornia.

My favorite are the drink servers on deck who wear earpieces and never serve drinks.

Sorry just a question for other West Coasters and/or nightowls - sorry if its been addressed -but do any of you have as much trouble as I do falling asleep? Do you have any suggestions on how you handle the late nights? :)

Add 8 cabins to that... as I have 9 cabins in my group. I'll get them all to eventually follow some of the antics here - so - eventually there will be 8 more on that tally!

Okay so with that 8, that makes it 14.7% of all the rooms available!

Another OMG :scared1: - boy do I feel stup*d - I've seen them too but never put two and two together!! :headache:

Now I think that I need 2 V-8's - or does that technically make it a V-16? ;)

Question, where can you eat if you do NOT eat in the restaurant on your rotation that night?
Just curious- is it only pizza and nuggets and such by the pool or what? I ask because we only grabbed pizza for the kids there one evening (the first one when the room we were at stunk and we hardly ate a thing and had no dessert/etc.) but we really didn't eat anywhere else in the afternoons/evenings or ofcourse not during dinner.

I just read on a website about facts about Magic and it said there is a dinner buffet for KIDS? Where do they take the kids to eat if they eat with the club or lab? And where can you get food if you don't eat in the restaurant that night?

Well...

... I have ALWAYS been a nite owl. This week was a bit of an exception as my souse was away from sunday to thursday for a company meeting... so I had both kids to get to bed - and I was sort of tired by midnite when the DIS system goes off line to refresh. So I was not awake when the system came back on line.

But if ya wanna get to sleep sooner - I suggest you just wake up earlier and SNAP yourself into an earlier schedule. That forces a shift - eh? :confused3 Then ya gotta go with the flow and set yourself up to sleep earlier.

And that's coming from someone who knows almost NOTHING about how to go to sleep earlier!

Buffett on topsiders... or they do a sit down in topsiders if the buffett is not running... or room service .... or pizza from deck 10 .... or Palos'.

As for where the kids eat... I've seen them get herded into one of the restuarants and served a private dinner - like at paarakeet... and top siders. I've also seen meals brought down into the kids club too. As for anywhere else... I don't know.

Cool, thanks! I was wondering if we'd end up only having pizza to eat if we didn't eat in the restaurant!

I wonder if everyone else went to sleep?

pirate: If we don't get to posting- the board will close and someone will get the mini later!

Just my two cents but yes there is a kids dinner buffet at Topsiders - let me see if I get this - on the Port (?) side - the same side as the Mickey and the drink stand. Of course they have same hrs as buffet but DH and I ate there several times as he is not into 'gourmet' food. And their food is specially catered for little kids - better fries, better pizza, etc.. YOu know the good stuff :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway, room service is always good too although if you eat it too much - it may get mundane - the PB&J are good - DH, DD loves them! Also - always ask what the special of the day is -

Then again there is always the h'or'dorvs (sp?) at 11 each night right after late night seating! and Palo's for the adults on the 10th floor - and DD always made a break for the panani sandwiches on deck 10 and chicken strips on deck 9 - personally I liked the wraps at scoops during the afternoon and early early evenings. If they had any left! I'm sure you'll get others but right now - them's what I remember! :)

Okay so what types of food do they usually serve at topsiders if you eat dinner there? Is it all junk type food like pizza, chicken nuggets, etc?
