okay, I have only posted once or twice, but I will never be able to keep up with this thread, so I do not think I will even try. We usually travel with abot 60 friends on DCL, but this time it will just be my family. DD14 and DD12 (ages time of cruise) will be looking for friends.

We are on the Med this summer and then Westbound with my DS19 and the Eastbound with DD14 and DD12.

Then Thanksgiving 08, our group of 60 will be sailing again.
I think a web site sounds like a great idea for this group. My guess is nearly 50% of those on this cruise have some connections to DISboards. There is just no way I can keep up with this thread!!

My DD will also be 12 at cruise time. Is there a kid's thread yet?

Well, now that the dust has settled down, I will be joining the "Escaping Moms" for 15 days of fun with all of you.

I live in Central Florida and have cruised on the 2004 10 Christmas Cruise and the May 2006 Double Scoop (Blabbermouths) Cruise which is where I met the other escaping Moms. I missed their Grand Adventure last fall on the 10 Day Wonder, but my family has graciously agreed to let me be a part of this adventure.

At cruise time, my DS will be getting ready to start college and my DD will be starting High School. My DH (Scuba Diver) has agreed that between he and DS they will make sure DD gets set at school as well as one of them driving her to Gymnastics (5 days a week - 45 minutes away) each day. I am truly blessed to have such a supportive family.

It will be fun getting to know each of you.

How great that you get to "escape" on a cruise. The last time I did a get-away without the kids, it was to go to a scrapbooking workshop...and I don't even really scrapbook!

Yes there is another but it is no where complete or ready for print ...I did that real quick and the elements are to small at the moment ...I am waiting for High Res copies of the Elements that I need to finish it ...

When speaking with my TA last week, she said she would work on early seating for dinner and my cabin assignments. She asked if I wanted a Cat 6 on deck 5. Being completely FREAKED OUT by the entire process this time around, I said okay. I still don't have any assignment, but are the Cat 6's on deck 5?

I adored deck 5 when we were there. Yes there are some Cat. 6s there, along with the Navigator's Verandahs.

Somehow I just can't picture myself walking up to strange women to ask, "Excuse me, are you Bibbidy?" I'd be arrested before the Trip of a Lifetime.

LOL! You get over being afraid to go up to someone and ask them if they are on the DIS. Some will say no but most who wear green say yes. LOL! I had a couple DISers from our group who I had never met before see us at MK before the cruise.

Hey everyone - we are coming too! We were on the Magic last week and had put a quote request in for the repo - honestly just for the fun to see how much $$. When DH came back the next afternoon and told me he booked it and handed me the confirmation I was floored. I could not believe there was so many posts on this thread already - thanks for the condensed versions lbgraves - not sure how long it would have taken me to read each and every post - yikes!
