Not a mutiny, just a discussion. I'm trying to reason with the captain but he's beyond reasoning. It's all about the black, black and more black to the captain. :lmao: He would SO get along well with my husband on that respect...

Black is the new Black.

Andy: Oh boy could that start some trouble .:stir: I only wish we could get our docs 18 months before cruise.:woohoo: I can tell you how much we will appreciate it ! The wind chill was -25 today and of course kids didn't have school. Did you tell Angelina about the surprise even though she wouldn't be going on the extra 5 days ?

She overheard me talking about it to someone when Hazel wasn't here, so yes, she does know about it, and Angelina almost let it slip last night.

Hey everyone - we are coming too! We were on the Magic last week and had put a quote request in for the repo - honestly just for the fun to see how much $$. When DH came back the next afternoon and told me he booked it and handed me the confirmation I was floored. I could not believe there was so many posts on this thread already - thanks for the condensed versions lbgraves - not sure how long it would have taken me to read each and every post - yikes! Sent you an email with our info on it!! THANKS!

Our DS loves legos. We were suppose to go last year in July but had to cancel.

We are trying to decide if we want to go to CA this year for DL, Lego and SD Zoo, or keep our 10/20/07 Western Cruise.

We won't have time prior to the 8/17/08 repo and I'm concerned he might get too old for Legoland after that. He is 7 this Saturday.

He too can sit for hours building with his Legos.

I really don't know how they can outgrown a place like lego land if it has anything to do with legos. :confused3 DS is now 8 and he got several Harry Potter sets for gifts. He put them together within a couple weeks. These are the big sets that I got at 75% clearance at Target years ago. They have been up in the attic for a while. ;) Chamber of Secrets, Hogwart's, Hogwart's express, Gringott's bank...along with a big star wars ship. He has a shelf for them along with Dumbledore's office. He likes to take them down & play with them.

Just a thought............how about you wear the black t-shirt but a lime green wig? Not only will we be able to spot you but you will be able to spot yourself in the group photo.:lmao: :lmao:

We've already been thru this. Back when I thought about wearing a bright neon pink shirt with lime green lettering. But then I realized, it's not that *I* want to be noticed, it's that I want to be able to find other DIS'ers (without staring at chests to see the logo) :lmao:

There are places we could have custom temporary tattoos made...or there's inkjet paper to make your own...

We should also try to make magnetic door signs with the logo. :goodvibes

There is a different Logo posted for the door signs. :) The good copies will go on the website for everyone to download.

Never too old for legos. My son is 9 now. :)
(my daughter is 13- she'd still dig legoland)

Yeah I read that some place sure would be nice if the Magic went to drydock & was retrofited before our cruise!:thumbsup2

The Magic wont be going into drydock until after the 5 day cruise AFTER our cruise.

Well, now that the dust has settled down, I will be joining the "Escaping Moms" for 15 days of fun with all of you.

I live in Central Florida and have cruised on the 2004 10 Christmas Cruise and the May 2006 Double Scoop (Blabbermouths) Cruise which is where I met the other escaping Moms. I missed their Grand Adventure last fall on the 10 Day Wonder, but my family has graciously agreed to let me be a part of this adventure.

At cruise time, my DS will be getting ready to start college and my DD will be starting High School. My DH (Scuba Diver) has agreed that between he and DS they will make sure DD gets set at school as well as one of them driving her to Gymnastics (5 days a week - 45 minutes away) each day. I am truly blessed to have such a supportive family.

It will be fun getting to know each of you. :cool1: :cool1:

:welcome: Welcome aboard, Sharon :welcome:

....and congrats on being an "Escaping Mom". THat would truly be a dream vacation for me :cloud9:

I'm hoping with you.

It seems like every time I call DCL I get a different answer . I spoke to one really nice CM who didn't and was very upfront and honest about the front-line's reaction to the whole thing. What get's me is that when you call and ask them how people who are getting ressies after yours are getting room assignments and your still listed as a guarantee they tell you it's not happening, change the story when you call them on it and just give you story after story - basically hoping you will just go away.

I'll be on the phone agaon on Wed trying to get a room assignment - I know it shouldn't be such a big deal because we only have one, but I would still like to know where I'm being put.

Same here. We really wanted as far Aft as we could get. Really liked Deck 5, hardly any traffic.

DH says that's because it scraped on the canal last time.

Anyone know if that's a true story or just DIS Urban Legend?
