OK, I can't believe I just did this, but I had to share this with a "few" of my closet friends, LOL!!!

I just got a quote for the 5 day sailing of the Magic on 9-1-08 for just Hazel and I in a cat. 11, if I can swing it, and pull it off, I'm going to use this as a surprise 33rd Wedding Anniversary gift to her. The price came in a just a tad over $1200, I first got a quote for a cat. 9, but since it would just be the two of us, the $$ saved from a cat. 9 to a cat. 11, would help cover our tips for the 5 nights.

Can you imagine 20 nights on the Magic in a row and three stops at Castaway Cay within days of itself!!! Talk about your back to back cruises, I think my retirement date of June 1, 2010 might be extended, LOL!!! :rotfl2:

:wizard: Wish me luck, I think I'm going to need it!!!!!:wizard:

:wizard: GOOD LUCK!!!:wizard:

That's awesome...What a wonderful Anniversary gift!!!!:)

um, now would you mind talking to my DH?!?!

Barb told me that amongst the TA's (who had their own waiting lists from clients) were ablt to fill pretty much every cabin that was cancelled (by changing the names) over the last two days.

That's how we got in, we weren't even on the waiting list. I just called to try and switch our Med ressies to this cruise, nothing was available and my TA said I would probably have to wait till Monday, and 2 hours later called back and was able to make the switch.

I just realized that recently, too. Most threads are short enough that I've always been able to scroll back to the original post. This thread obviously doens't fit in THAT category!

Enna.........love the count down counter.......Did you design it ???? Very nice. Let me know if its available to use...........Thanks !!!!!

OK, I just got in for lunch and I see I have about 10 pages to catch up on. It's a whopping -4 now with the wind chill and let me tell you, it has NOT been a picnic walking around this morning at all. About 11am my lungs actually started burning, but since I only had 20 more houses to finish I stuck it out and got them done.

I arrived home to find Hazel had a cup of hot chocolate waiting for me.

Now, I'm going back to see if I can get caught up.

Sending warm thoughts your way! It's 5 degrees here, and I can't imagine being out in the cold air for longer than it takes to walk the dogs.

I hear ya (especially on the white, light pink, etc.) but the thing is- we're talking 5 people in my family and only ONE (dh) will ever wear that black shirt again. For one day that everyone is wearing it? (we're in Texas- you don't wear black here... atleast not the majority of the year. It's hot! I tell ya)

I hear ya!!! I guess it is different when you are from Texas vs the NE!!!!:)

I like the idea of black - as mentioned, it is "piratey" and it is also slimmimg, don't cha know!!!:rotfl: which is one of the reasons I usually choose it...I rarely wear white t****s, but that is just me - and I would for the cruise if everyone else is.....I will say black is preferred for DD - I swear I will not buy her another white or light pink shirt, etc....but then I do..and I go through a bottle of stain remover - maybe I can hope that by 10 she will be beter.:confused3

I will probably get slammed - but not crazy about lime green - bracelets, small things - fine...but a shirt, not so much......but if everyone is wearing one for the cruise, I would.:)

I too wear black 12 months out of the year. And am also not a fan of lime green, or anything green for that matter (in clothes that is, now money I would wear!) But if everyone elseis doing it, I will to (I can't take the peer pressure)!

Yeah, that's probably why DCL is still not showing anything. Instead of going back into inventory, they're being given to those already waiting on rooms!!

:) Just jumping in to say Hi! (my goodness, it is deep in here. ;) Thanks so much for the summaries) We will be on this cruise. Me (Linda), my DH (Ed), my DD (Sarah), and my Dsis (Debbie). We're traveling with our friends, Grayfal (Tom and Pat), and FairyGodmother (Dee and Steve).

I'll try to keep up.:scared1:

Hi Linda

Back to my reading!!!

But you can throw in what DW always say, "but so and so's husband doesn't make her do that". :lmao:

Just kidding. DW does a LOT around the house. I just have the outside work.

What am I covering up for? DW doesn't look at the DIS. :sad2:

:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

actually there are a couple guys in the neighborhood that love their "toys" so much they just go from driveway to driveway doing everyone else's = so I have that!!!!:thumbsup2

The NCAA does the same thing, there was a local story that Macy's Stores in Columbus had "OSU National Champions" merchandise printed and staff paid overtime to keep the stores open late for the National Championship game. None-the-less, Macy's got a nice charitable right off and somewhere, in another part of the world, someone is enjoying their new "OSU 2007 National Champions" t-shirt. :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Now....it shouldn't be too hard for them to make that "7" from 2007 into a "2". We can all go back and relive that game!

For the record, I'm personally fine with the idea of black shirts. But if some decide to do DIS green, we'll definitely be able to pick em out of the crowd!! :thumbsup2

Well, there's PLENTY of room to hide back there!! ;)

now you cut that out....you look so cute from what I can tell in your picture! The image is a little small, but I can still tell you're cute! No brown bag needed!

And thats the thing that has expanded.

Remember guys not 3 days not 4 days not even 7 days not 14 days but..

15 days

Of food, is not a sprint its a marathon this time pace yourselves.

Walk a mile on Deck 4 every morning is good for me, did it on my last 2 cruises (well maybe not every morning - but will be this time) and didn't gain a pound. Unfortunately, I am not a gym person, but walking, swimming and any other kind of outdoor activity will help. The Zip Line Tour in PV is awesome, will definitely do that again!!!!

BTW, anyone out there with older kids, really having a hard time keeping up with this thread, and haven't got to that part with anyone yet. I have spent the last hour reading, and feel like I am getting absolutely nowhere, anyone else feel that way????:confused3

Debi

O.K., here's a thought on the whole no rooms available through DCL right now and WL people supposedly getting rooms.

Do you think by the end of this week, the GTY's and those that want to switch their location will have a chance? IC should (yeah, that is a big should) clear that WL by early this week, and once their 3 day deposit rule ends, maybe the ressies will open up.

Just a thought.

Maybe this is where some people were getting the 6th from. Although that wouldn't make sense since if cancellations/non-bookings cleared going into the 4th, it would be the 7th when the deposits would be due.

Well, here's hoping.

I'm hoping with you.

It seems like every time I call DCL I get a different answer . I spoke to one really nice CM who didn't and was very upfront and honest about the front-line's reaction to the whole thing. What get's me is that when you call and ask them how people who are getting ressies after yours are getting room assignments and your still listed as a guarantee they tell you it's not happening, change the story when you call them on it and just give you story after story - basically hoping you will just go away.

I'll be on the phone agaon on Wed trying to get a room assignment - I know it shouldn't be such a big deal because we only have one, but I would still like to know where I'm being put.

Great ...a Crew of Rainbow Pirates ....maybe we should have cute puppy dogs instead of Parrots , Monkeys and swords oh my ..

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

pirate:

We could call ourselves "Care Bear Pirates" LOL!

Honestly, I don't care what color we have....although black is slimming! I do like the idea of printing and transfering the images ourselves though (rather than buying printed tees).

You won't get slammed by me . . . we would do a green bracelet but probably not a lime green t-shirt. We'll survive if we have to go without the shirts, though.

If i stay at DL before our trip (flying in so probably won't have a car) is there someplace nearby to get a couple cases of water or could i send $ to someone to hook me up ahead of time?

(i refuse to pay $36 a case on the ship)

May have been answered already, but there's a target not more than a mile down Harbor Blvd. There's also a Walmart across the freeway, 5-10 min drive.

Just a word of warning for those staying on points. I'm not a DVC member so I don't know all the specifics. But I've seen many people post on the DL forum stating that you don't get a lot for your points. Most people go for the DL Hotel or Paradise Pier because the GC takes too many points.
