8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 3

If i stay at DL before our trip (flying in so probably won't have a car) is there someplace nearby to get a couple cases of water or could i send $ to someone to hook me up ahead of time?

(i refuse to pay $36 a case on the ship)

How are you going to get from DL to San Pedro? If you use a private transfers company that will allow for a stop on the way, there's a Costco near the port.

Man, you people are FUH-REEZING!
Here we think we're cold when we're in the 30's- and we are today... have been for awhile. We're Texans though- we think it's "chilly" when it's in the low 60's.
I think we'd all freak right OUT if we ever got to the temps you people are talking about! Lord have mercy......

It's actually warm today! I even wore a short sleeve shirt and regular jacket yesterday!

I dont know I have not called DVC on this yet, I think that because it is not a DVC property you can book farther out!

I will check it out when I get a chance, let me know if you get there first!

Depending on what my DD might be doing that summer (if she does band they have mandatory camps.)
I'm thinking of flying out on Thursday (since that's going to take a huge chunk out of our day) and then having two days to do eith DL or Universal. I do have a couple days left on a 10 day pass i can use for DL.

DW and I found the iron on transfer paper at Staples. I guess that's Plan B if we're not going to have them prepared?

That's what I thought on the last cruise- and even with the "unique"ness of our shirts- I still failed to see more than a COUPLE of people in the port. It was a disappointment. But fortunately we had a DIS meet planned right around the drill time- so we finally got to see people we knew from DIS!

(I like the idea of a little something on front and something on back- that's how our shirts were. However, that might be a little difficult to match up to if we're all doing iron on transfers and unable to get the shirts mass produced and purchased)

Look. Maybe I can think up something very crazy looking or unique and y'all can just come up to ME so I don't have to go hunting y'all down?

(ps. I don't mean to sound like I'm being difficult just for the sake of being difficult. I'm honestly concerned about not seeing anyone. I was all hyped up to see people from DIS on the last cruise and we had TONS of people on that cruise as well- but we were sorely disappointed in that aspect. I rarely saw anyone and the few people I saw were the same few people over and over. Besides the dismeet as we took off from PC- I only saw the same few people over and over the entire cruise. And then we had the snafu with our table not linked with the group- so we weren't having dinner "with" the group either. I just don't want that to happen again. Don't make me have to hunt you down by room numbers knocking on doors and slapping big stickers on your foreheads so I can find you later on. Ya hear me?)

Maybe we could have 2 iron ons for the shirts! We could do the big logo in front, and then something else on the back...like the phrase "Take what you can, and give nothing back!" on the back of the shirt?
I'm sure there's a way that we can all identify one-another no matter what color we're all wearing.

At this point we are thinking of flying in the day before and staying by the port. It will depend on getting a sitter for the boys..

I must confess... #1) This is a distant post from earlier today but over 1000 posts away from the current posting... but I am going to try to see if I can read every posting I missed today (sunday)... and as such as I pick up where I left off - I saw your posting here introducing yourself... and I was struck by how wonderful and heartwarming your coments were. So... at any rate... here is a hearty welcome to our sailing!!! Funny how I do believe that technically.... all of us booked on the same day! And as such, am I entitled to having welcoming powers to newish additons to the madness here - like your family??? At any rate... Oh our Dec group was noticeable all right....

We were half the terminal (camped out all over the right side of the terminal)

Someone got us green leis and that helped too to spot out the infindals who wouldn't wear the shirts too.....

Speaking of paper...Has anyone found magnetic paper (other than the internet) lately....

I know before our Dec trip i tried Walmart but they didn't have it.....
