My mom took a ride around her area with my aunt and uncle yesterday afternoon, let's just say when I spoke to my mom yesterday afternoon, she couldn't hold back the tears, all I heard her say was, "Complete devistation" she was indeed very lucky that nothing happened to her place. In Paisley, the next town over from her, at last count, 13 dead. I haven't had the news on yet this morning, so I don't know if the count is any higher.

Kind of makes me re-think about moving to Florida after retirement, Hazel is really shaken up about this.

Its very terrible, glad your mum is ok, but sorry for the loss of 13.

Hello Everyone,
Update on my Aunt Carol. She is safe & sound. Turns out that's why my Mom called me this morning. Why she didn't leave that on the answering machine I don't know. Instead it was call me. I talked with my Grandfather ( Mom's Dad ) and was at the senior center that's why I couldn't get a hold of him. Carol used somebody's phone, she has no power and called him to say she was o.k. Granfather then called my Mom who then called me but I didn't actually find out anything till 45 min. ago !!! I would to thank everyone for your prayers & :grouphug: . I am going to take a long hot bath have a cup of hot cocoa and go to bed. Today just wiped me out.

Lisa: Thanks for putting the website together. I will send in info sometime this weekend. I would like to send in pictures after a cruise in 2 weeks, is that o.k ?

Happy to hear that your family is safe and you can finally breath. Mom's can do that to us sometimes.:grouphug:

Here in the Philly Burbs, there was a flurry of snow starting about 4:30.
Every time flakes fall from the sky everyone rushes to the store and buys all the milk, eggs and bread off the shelfs. Seriously.

Do you think the snow makes them crave french toast?

Does this happen any where else?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
That is EXACTLY what I always say!!

Well we are going to dinner too but ........

I think that be a challenge there I do.

I think there should be a higher point value assgned to a 10,000 like 5 points.
Wait .....never mind.......we will decide after we see who wins.......

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Didn't we refer to you as Becka earlier?

Andy, glad to hear that your mom is fine. We got down to Florida yesterday afternoon and it was full-time, all the time coverage of the damage on the local TV stations. Absolutely amazing some of the stories of folks waking up in the middle of the night and running for cover.

You know you have a problem when. . .

I am sitting in the hotel room waiting for everyone else to wake up--heading to the boat in a few hours      and checking the DIS board. I don't see spending my limited internet minutes on the boards so it will be like an alcoholic drying out!! Thanks for the summaries.

Back in the late 1970s I was in a youth Rugby team and we played against Los Angeles when they were on a Welsh tour. Rugby doesn't seem to be too big in the States.

I missed out on the bulk of the rugby discussion but I wanted to jump in quickly. I played club rugby for The Ohio State University many years ago--mainly B-side. 2nd row--you can't tell by seeing me now but you could actually see some air under my feet when I jumped back then!!

Nothing like a caravan of cars pulling into the hotel parking lot filled with college-aged rugby players. One person heads into the lobby to check-in. "How many in the room?" he is asked. Answer--one. Pull the mattresses to the floor boys. For those that made it back there were mattresses, box springs and the floor. Club sports didn't get any really support (or at least none that I can remember) from the university so we paid for everything hence one room for 20 on a college budget.

I hadn't thougth of that experience for a long time--thanks for the spark for the trip down memory lane. It's a great contrast to now thinking about how to pay for the repo--times have changed just a bit.

Even with the 40 second rule, I was able to sneak in a mini pirate:

Get a calendar going into the year 2008, count backward from the date of our cruise, label each day accordingly, every day cross one day off...............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Next you are going to say that in real life you are shy Judy.:rolleyes1

ROFL! My DS has been a flirt since the day he was born with his long eyelashes & brown eyes. He has had a string of girls after him...some at the same time. :lmao: There is one girl who he keeps saying he is going to marry though. They have been in school together since the 2 year PS class. They have gone on 2 dates to the school dance...with both her dad and myself there with them. The other day he told me that he has had a girl friend each year at his school. He hopes that this one is in his class next year, then all of them for 4th & 5th grade. I asked what he would do with all the girls he knows in the same class with him & he just smiled and said that he would just let them chase after him. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Of course somehow he is able to seperate them if they don't live here, like our friend's DD who we have cruised with the past three years. He is going to marry her too. Not sure how he is going to maintain two households right now but I guess at 8 I can let him dream. ;)

Dina will be the victor in the end!:cheer2: You know how men really like the younger women more.;)

Have a MAGICal time :thumbsup2 how I wish I were getting on the ship today!!!:goodvibes

My not so little guy too - there is something about those long lashes and brown eyes. When he was little he was going to marry me but that changed - now he's just going to have a wife and lots of kids. When he was a toddler he was a major flirt - we would go out to dinner and he would have the waitresses eating out of his hands. One time the waitress, who couldn't have been more than 19, hunched down to talk to him and he put hand out and started rubbing her leg! Her reaction - "Isn't he cute?". Dad's reaction - "That's my boy!" - my reaction? :faint: .

Now he's almost 12 and girls are "Yuck!"

Izzy was freaking out because noone was coming to the free clinic that she had used the $8 million Denny left her to fund. She wanted to make a difference & they weren't the first day with no patients.

I was talking about how rude she was being to Callie! I mean, you can not like someone and think they are bad for yor friend, but geesh!

Have a MAGICal time :thumbsup2 how I wish I were getting on the ship today!!!:goodvibes

Thanks Andy. We are sending back pixiedust: to all of our fellow Northern climate friends. Just checked the weather back home--8 and it feels like -4:scared1: It said it was 63 here. Not exactly a heat wave but better than -4 by a long shot.

Take care next week when you are out--it's going to be a cold one.

Ok, everyone is up now. Time to get ready--DW just told me; now I REALLY need to move it. Take care all, stay warm and we will "see" you in a week.

My DS6 was going to marry me too. He used to think I was 24. When I finally broke down and told him I was 42, he looked me square in the eyes and told me "Mommy, I can't marry you anymore, you're gonna be dead"

:headache: Ouch!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Oh yea, we WILL hit the 10,000th post today, I'm sure of that once everyone starts getting up and and the posting madness begins. Hold on to your bandanas pirate: mateys, it's going to be a bumpy ride!!! :rotfl2:

Getting up? I just got in from work. I hope ya'll slept last night.:)

I used to use one from tickerfactory, but when I went to make one for this cruise, their web site was all messed up and all it kept saying was "You can track your menstrual cycle day as well your ovulation day and days past ovulation count using this ticker. This particular ticker is designed for women trying to conceive and following their menstrual cycles to optimize their chances."

I decided I didn't need the ticker that badly.
