FYI--
We were at Dillard's today and they have Exofficio and Royal Robbins clothing on clearance. Both make UPF/SPF clothing. I saw a pretty nice shirt that was rated UPF 40. It had long sleeves but they rolled up and converted to a short sleeve shirt.

The Exofficio stuff also included their BUZZ Off Insect Shield line which has built-in insect repellant! :thumbsup2

We don't have a Dillard's around here - gonna have to check out these sites to see where else they sell their stuff. I definately want to get the buzz off stuff, would be great for playing golf!

sk8ingmom- So how are you all doing this evening? I've been thinking a lot about your family. We have a four legged member of our family that is 13 1/2 years old now (he's a Sheltie) and I get sad even thinking about loosing him. We also have a 3 year old Pomeranian. Total spaz--he keeps our Sheltie young.

Lisa- I did those dark iron-on transfers for my ds's birthday party guests. He had POTC2 party and I made Jolly Roger t-shirts for the kids. Because the images were so dark they bled after washing. Do you know of a brand of transfers that would prevent that?

Ours didn't run last year. I used the Avery brand.

Just got word and dropped the deposits down.............were in.......... Think this makes 7th Disney cruise. A hearty hello to everyone.

DS has just decided to have his b-day party in May themed "Pirates"! This is big news because we have had the exact same Mickey & Friends party for his 5th, 6th & 7th birthdays. He had to have everything the same each time - same decorations, same cake design, same balloons, etc. About the only thing that changed was the stuff in the "loot bags" we sent home with the kids. Hooray! Something different pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

We actually do a huge, at home party. It is more common around here to have parties out somewhere (ChuckyCheese, SafariLand, Gymnastics Gyms, Bowling Alleys, Movies, etc.) Instead, we have a large yard and a couple big party tents. When we put up the tents side by side we have a 20'x20' area and can even put sides on it if the weather is terrible. Then we invite ALL the kids from his class at school, family friends, and neighborhood friends. Since his b-day is May 1st, there is always a number that can't make it do to graduations, weddings, confirmations, etc. but we usually have around 15-20 kids! party:

So.... anyone have any ideas for an 8 year olds Pirate Party? I'm thinking the balloons should probably be red and black (unless I can actually find ones with skull & crossbones!) Maybe get some pirate flags to hang off the tent. Any creative thoughts???

P.S Bear Down Chicago Bears!

And just so you will know - I've got a bummer of a birth mark too on my forehead too! It only shows up under ultra violet light though... and I inserted a synthetic "mask" in a vain attempt to protect the "innocent"

Ugh, so jealous!
Last year I already had my return deposited in my account by this time -and I haven't been able to complete mine because my husband's stupid W-2 hasn't shown up in the mail yet! I just KNOW his employer has messed up on our address- we moved in Nov. So it will probably take awhile for it to be forwarded to us- if it gets forwarded. I know they have our correct address in their system because I saw it online! But who knows if they gave that info to the powers that be that send out the W-2's.

Ohwell, it's not like we need it right now. That sucker will be going straight to savings for this cruise. :rotfl:

We normally have our return by now also but we couldn't file online until today because of a couple of late IRS changes. And our is also going straight into the "Trip of a Lifetime" bank account!:lmao:

OK some Repo ??? here. FOr our Repo veterans perhaps you may have some answers.

Since its a 2 week cruise do they repeat alot of stuff.
2 Formals, 2semi-formal,

2 pirate: nights

I really better start planning & packing I guess thats why yall have those binders :thumbsup2

On past longer cruises there has been a pirate night and a tropical night like they use to have before 2004.

As a veteran of a Repo cruise - I'll chime in --

We had 2 formal & 2 semi formal - mix & match is great for casual nites - plan on doing laundry . When we got stuck - waiting to go through the Gatun Locks - I managed to snag a washing machine on the first try to the laundry room :woohoo:

Not to hijack the thread - it will be great - to see both ships at CC in August.

This is my first time in a CAT 8 - CAT 6 - 3 times, one CAT 7 and last year Chuck helped me surprise a bunch of fools on the 8/19/06 double dip cruise - we had an 11.

Hopefully we won't run into a hurricane on the way past CABO this time :lmao: Thankfully I don't get seasick..

If you read the thread from the beginning you will see that there isn't anything :offtopic: here. We have 18 months to get to know each other so you will see a lot more than just cruise planning here.
