Somehow I am getting Cruise Travel magazine. Thought the ship in the poster looked very familiar: Sorry it's crooked.

Well, it has taken me just over an hour to ketchup the 40 or so pages as a result of my trip to Belfast where I enjoyed your leftover weather from last week - high winds & snow as well as the obligatory Irish rain!

I'm a planner, but haven't started on the packing list until we know which night is formal, pirate etc. as my list cross references to the correct day. Yes, I realise it shouts OCD, but it makes it so much easier for dressing the grls etc.

Best wishes & pixie dust to all those in need of it at present, & many happy returns to those I have missed.

Off to do the weekly shop, but hope you all have a good week-end & chat tonight if I don't log on before then. Havbe also memo'd myself to check out the updates on the pirate zone

Julie - I was invited to go and I really didn't have high hopes for it for some reason. I have to tell you that the singing is really good, the sets were a lot of fun and there is some humor thrown in which made it great. Go and enjoy

Thanks! I thought Tarzan was OK to see once, but not fabulous, and felt the same about Mary Poppins . . . but Little Mermaid has got to be worth at least one viewing, right? I really appreciate your comments today after feeling a little let down after reading the review. I'll let you know what I thought as well after seeing it next Friday night with the girls.

If you are referring to the February addition, look at page 12. It has loose "renderings" pictures of 4 new Disney ships. It is an article about the new ships for all cruise lines. I am really gonna pass on the RCI ship that has over 5000 passengers.:scared1: I was on the Adventure class ship and it was a bit big for me. I prefer Radiance class size- more managenable and I only lost the ice skating rink, which was too crowded to use anyway.

And are we planning to have these buses arrive at the port early ??? Just trying to figure if we are taking the bus or getting a limo, I just want to be at the port early ...LOL

Disney's version of Tarzan was never my thing so I never went to see the stage version. I like the old tv versions of it
I really like Mary Poppins but haven't seen it on Broadway
Saw Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and LOVED it

I agree it is worth at least one evening to see Mermaid

The discussion was a bus to stop at HO-JO's and at the GC or other convenient location with a possible short grocery/liquor stop on way to port.

The final itinerary will likely not be set until after the 90 day payment is made to see who is still in/out.

Okay , so Disneyland Hotel hasnt been mentioned yet ??? I know there is alot of us staying there ...

Okay on another side note , I need some advice from you west coasters ...were thinking about getting a premium passport due to the fact we will be there alot ...Is it worth it ??? I know we get 20 dollars off for being DVC members which I think brings the price to 359.00 pp we plan on being it DLR 3 days in March then another 3 Days in August and would give us the option to go at any other time ...Plus we could use them in March of 09 for our Birthday weekend , but would have to move it up a weekend so they werent expired ....So , worth it , yes or no ?? or is this just way too much Disney (keep in mind we also have our WDW trips already planned as well ) .... Help me Obi Wan Kanobi ...LOL

FYI - just saw in the newsletter. 2008 Passporter Guide to DCL is now in pre-order.

I'd like to do the bus, but my decision will also depend on the timing. I want to get there early.

I take a lot of photos and end up buying plenty from Shutters, but I always come home thinking "Why don't I have a picture of xxx?" So a page with cruise pictures would be great (and maybe I can get some of Crash's great photos too). I am a scrapbooker so I can never have too many pictures...even if they just sit on my computer. I do have my December WDW pictures loading on the digital picture frame I got for Christmas. But only a few have been printed out.

i know what you mean on the august repo i spent a lot on shutters than i didnt have any of my favorite character pluto. i had regular pictures of him but shutters at the time was not taking his picture. they did take his picture sometime during the cruise because i seen them hanging up at shutters.

Hi, Todd

Yes, there is a committee looking into bus transportation from DL to the Port. So far, we have pickups at DL Hotel, Hojo's and BW Park Place. Bellelinus and Grandmax3 are currently looking all the bus logistics and I'm taking names of possibly interested parties with no committment at this point.

There is talk of a possible water/liquor stop and I'm also interested in early arrival at the Port. All planning is still in the early stages and will probably be firmed up shortly after the 90 day out period.

If you or anyone else is interested - PM me.

Oh God I forgot about Shutters!
Never a good idea.

Ok, to just take the planning up a whole 'nother notch.... anyone interested in a post cruise page on the website where we can all post our photobucket, etc. links to our cruise photos ?

Duh!!! Can the Pirate Zone support full sized photos uploaded?

The math for this is pretty straightforward. Two 3-day parkhoppers would run you in the neighborhood of $338.00 pp, with the kids slightly less. If you plan on moving your birthday weekend up next year, I'd say definitely do it. I'd probably do it anyway on account of saving the parking fees & getting the discounts at the restaurants, etc. But I've had an AP at DL for the last 6 years, so I may be a bit biased.

Looking forward to seeing you in March!
:thumbsup2

Yeah it probably makes sense , plus if we want to throw a weekend or two in otherwise we can on a whim ...lol

As Ii read it, it would only include our links to out Photobucket accounts where the pictures would reside. Fortunately that would not take up much space. If we all posted our pictures (especially crash) we would have to be slipping hundred dollar bills to our webmaster. :) /QUOTE]

Tom, given that we have this bus for 5 hours, we can certainly stop at more than two hotels -- once we know who is interested, we can set a schedule and be at each one for 10 minutes -- obviously we don't want to stop at 15 hotels because the waiting time gets tedious, but I would think the Hojo and all three Disneyland hotels if there is interest, for sure . . .

Of course Todd may want to take a limo just for the entrance he could make :goodvibes but let's not rule out Disneyland hotel just yet . . .
