I'm in limbo- in suspense to find out from our TA what we were able to get.
What we wanted is similar to what you got- we want either a Cat 6 (or cat 7 if that isn't available) with a cat 11 across the hall (but I told her if it was a few rooms down that would be fine too- didn't have to be EXACTLY directly across the hall).
Do you mind sharing how much it end up costing you for the cat 6 and cat 11 and how many in each room (adults/children)? Cause the suspense is killing me. All I see is what is online NOW. Supposedly the TA is calling first thing- and I hope they get my reservation and I also hope they get it before the prices go up! But they aren't taking calls from 8-noon because of working on this with all their agents. They said to expect calls about it at noon. Can I wait that long to find out if we're on the cruise and what rooms and how much? I don't know! :scared1:

We got a cat 7 ith a cat 11 across the hall (sort of). We are paying $10,008.96. That is with 1 adult & 1 child in each room. But this is with our 10% onboard booking discount. But this should give you some idea.

Yes, that does give me a good idea. Ours will also be transferred with 10% onboard booking discount and only adding one additional child (because 1 adult/1 child in each room they really charge you 2 adults, right? Ours will be 1 adult/1 child in cat 7, 1 adult/2 child in cat 11 but I figured we're really paying for 4 adults and one child, right?)
So if we get cat 7 and cat 11- it shouldn't be all that much more than what you stated, if they get in fast enough before the prices go up! (and that's what they are supposed to be doing, hence the reason not taking calls all morning). The amount we should have to pay more should be the additional amount for one extra child in the cat 11 and surely that's not that much, is it? I was thinking it wasn't too much more. If it's under $12k then I'll be elated- because our original plans to go 2 back to back cruises, same type rooms, would have cost that much atleast.

2 adults cat6 with ins and transfers first thing $7550.

Now it's $7950 online:scared1:

Alright so let me get this straight.......
You guys wanted to apply a 10% discount so you didnt book online, correct?
Now how much have the rates gone up? Was it worth it is my question?

For me, barely. I do have the OBC too though.

OK, this is the price they are quoting me online. Seems a little steep!

15-NIGHT EASTBOUND PANAMA CRUISE

We're cheering for you :cheer2:

WOO HOO to everyone who is in!party:

Just in from the "This Makes No Sense Department":
15 night repo Cat 9 is only $400 more than the 3/15/08 Cat. 10 I booked the first day it was available.

We didn't get the location or the dining we wanted, but I figure that will all shake out over the next 18 months.

Yes, they do charge you for 2 adults in each room. By the time I actually talked to a castmember, I got tier 2 pricing for the cat 7, but still had tier 1 pricing for the 11. I think that you should definately be able to come in under $12K for this trip. Good Luck. I hope you get what you want!

Jennifer

Okay we are in ...all the Cat 6's are gone except GTY ...we took the Cat 5 we are now in room 7040 ......they had no Cat 11's avail next to the room so the four of us are in one room ....but again my older DS may not be able to go cause of Football ...

shew I cant believe we got through on the phone

It actually started at $7220 I believe... The CM told me, and this was at 9 o'clock, that the Cat 6 was at tier 12. The Cat 11 was at tier 3.

For me it worked out pretty good too. It did not go up that much at all before she was able to hold the rooms for me, and then the OBC is $400...I think it was worth $400 in addition to the little savings I got.....

I got a cat 6 1 A and 1 C (2 adult pricing) $6430
and a cat 11 1 A and 3 C (with 2A 2C pricing) for $5192

We have no idea if we will keep it though. That is alot of money.....

Not as much. The 8 was 7912.96 at first. It went up to 8684.96 right before my resie was done. My end total after 10% was 7802.96 and the 200 OBC. If it wasn't for the Captain's help I would still be on hold & the prices would be going up more.

I emailed DH with the price & his reply was

OUCH!

I was just thinking . . . if they are starting to run out of rooms . . .and we put a request to reserve a room while on board (1/13 Western), will our room be there when we call? Or will be just get what's left? They said they would call and never did . . . Did anyone else do this?

Oh, they just offered to let us leave a message and they would call us back . . .LOL. . .just like they would call us before 1/31 . ..

We were on the cruise with you, DiaLady, and when I called, they had held a room for us with the 10% discount and $200 shipboard credit (it's a Cat 10 which I would have liked on Deck 5 but it's on Deck 7). They said they were holding all these reservations from the request forms and deposits were due Feb 3. Hope this helps!

If you book through a TA can u still be the on board credit or is that just if you book directly through the website yourself?

It's now over 2 hours that i've been on hold.....music is playing so I guess I'm good.....starting to wonder if someone will ever pick up
