Anyone know if singles have ever booked REAS package?

I did when they still offered the Massages! :thumbsup2 I don't think that the REAS package is worth the price anymore without those massages.

And by giving you the robes, it's more stuff to worry about packing!:lmao: :lmao:

Why would you want individually?:confused3
Why not?:confused3 Singles enjoy being pampered just as much as everyone else.

Since I plan to purchase pretty much everything that's included with the package( Palo's, Rainforest room for the length of the cruise, bottles of wine, picture frames...) I might as well purchase the plan instead of getting purchasing everything separately

The only things I'm not interested in is the mud room(I can always gift that to someone else:cloud9: ) and breakfast in bed.

The main reason I want to book this is so that I'll be able to book shore tours at 105 days out instead of 75. I really want to book the teen tour at CC for my son.

Thanks Scratch. I figured DCL would be more than happy to take that money off my hands.:rotfl:

Laundry......UG! I hate to do laundry while on vacation. I was just under the weight limit for the 11 Night cruise, and coming back was a nightmare because of my purchases and all the goodies we'd received.....Don't know what I'll do this time.......maybe splurge and have my laundry done??
That means giving up at least one spa appointment.:headache:

You can have a nice long soak in the jacuzzi instead of sitting in the laundry room!:thumbsup2

Ok guys you are having too much fun on here, I am starting to wonder if we are going to put the Carnival party ships to shame during this cruise.:cool1: But seriously, can you help me with a question? I believe that on the last Panamal Cruises they didn't have vow renewals or REAS packages, am I remembering this correctly? DH and I will be celebrating our 20th and I would love to do a vow renewal but I am not getting my hopes up.

I was wondering that too. After reading other reports, that would be so fun and special to do!

Good Morning Everyone

 Oh, my gosh. I can't believe I actually made it to the end. (for now)
I told myself I wasn't gonna post till I read the whole thread. You guys are hard to keep up with.
We were booked on the first EB Panama repo but had to cancel, so were gonna try again. :sail: :dancer:
Okay, So I'll catch up....

I don't remember Shawn Cassidy, or even David(never seen an episode of the Partridge family). Barely remember the Donny and Marie show. I remember Andy Gibb from an episode of "Punky Brewster."

I don't like bugs, especially ones that fly. ewwww

My board name---- I love piglet and am shy till I feel comfortable around people.

I love Heroes too!!!

Black, white, lime green doesn't matter.

No Spouse, but I am in love with a little guy named TIVO. :happytv:

Will Turner better not die.

Sprinkles

Pe-cahn

Love Groundhog day "Watch out for that first step it's a doozy." Oh the animal, not the movie? Then I don't know anything about groundhogs.

At the moment "Sleepy" but mostly "Happy".

I love the POC movies. But I don't know much pirate lingo.

I too ordered Girl Scout cookie already. Yummy!!!

Well be doing :laundy: on ship.

Crash: your photos are hilarious!!!

Anyway, hopefully we will be sailing on this cruise. That's if the pric...well you know.

This cannot be so....

... I think the most that was added was that gratuities were now covered. Wow... that would be pretty generous.... if true. I never looked very closely at the MEd repro sailings - as the air arrangements were a budget buster (without my checking). I was going to do a trip for a cruise out of Rome for a family gathering type of thing - and we justified it in part because we were using frequent flyer miles to save about $6,500 in air fare... and gaining a triangular flight with a stop in Montreal. Alas we nixed the sailing after we reserved because family issues forced several others to cancel - and a host of other issues cropped up. These family gathering things are sooo complicated sometimes!:confused3

The May Med Repo has kids under 12 (after the first two full paying passengers) for about $133 each so they are practically free.;) Plus they have Cat 12 GTYs for a steal!

Todd: Glad your computer problems are working out for you. :thumbsup2 You are reminding me that I need to get myself to office max and get some software I saw to back up all your photo's !!!!! Like everyone else I have photo's on my computer if I lost they could not be replaced.:sad2: :sad2:

captaincrash: Enjoy your breakfast ! and your welcome just don't get used to it. :rotfl2:

Andy: I am going to do what Jeff did.............. ( Thanks Jeff ) I am calling DCL this morning and putting the other 750.00 deposit on existing reservation. When I eventually do get through on Wednesday it will be easier to just transfer the ressie.

I know this has been discussed before but honestly I never paid attention.
So no harsh debates just curious o.k ? Most people going on the east repo the kids don't have school till after labor day right?:confused3

If your child was in high school would you feel comfortable having them miss the first week of school?:confused3

It's not like well you can just go a different time, they only have the one east repo. Thanks :)

On the first panama canal cruise DH and I did buy a REAS add-on. They are $339 per couple. Does not appear you can purchase them for the Med. Repo. cruises this year. A question to ask if you book a cabin.

Vow renewals on DCL are about the most expensive in the cruising industry. For a 7 night cruise the vow renewal is $2400-$4400. Not sure what they would charge on a 15 night cruise.

I've been reading recently that they are $1000??:confused3

Depending on who you talk to, the most targeted platform is PC (aka Windows), then Unix/Linux then Mac. Theories abound--easier to script something, more developer tools available, and--of course--hatred of The Evil Empire that Mr. Gates built.

As to file compatibility, Office 2007 is going to an open source XML-based file format. Others will follow suit so the platform won't make a differene. There is a google more software for Mac than Windows but my Mac savvy friends would tell you that most of the utilities for Windwos aren't needed for Mac OS because Mac OS doesn't suffer said flaw. :snooty:

Getting the last laptop was a total nightmare! First we take it into the store (pre FireDog days) and they said they couldn't do anything so they called the service department for us. Got the shipping box and waited 2 weeks. Laptop came back--broken more than when we sent it off!  Took it back to the store and this time the asst mgr said he would take care of it. Waited 1.5 weeks, no word, went back to the store. They check around and the asst mgr said the tech center called and said the unit was not repairable so they sent in a new, replacement laptop that morning. Puts it in a bag and was ready to send DW on her way. The district mgr was there so DW pulls the "new" laptop out of the bag....it was our original laptop!!!! :furious: :furious: So that was it...she WENT OFF on both of them.

End result...they refunded the full price of the laptop, the cost of the protection plan and sales tax even though we didn't pay taxes on it! pirate: THIS time I don't think she'll be as forgiving if they mess around with her :rolleyes1

As Jar Jar Binks would say.... HOW RUDE!

I've heard that even in new computers it is common practice from some companis to assemble them using some OLD computer parts. I don't know if that is false advertising - but replacing your defective notebook with the SAME one when you were offerred a new one - and under the supervision of their district manager smacks of incompetitant inconsideration!

This reminds me of the time I took my car into a brake and suspension auto repair shop. I explained I had recently had my brakes serviced and there had just been a terrible sound and odd change in how my brakes were performing. Could they check it? Well... a few minutes later the manager called me over to follow him - he wanted to show me what the problem was. The brake caliper had detatched itself from the chassis and was gripped about the disc and flopping back and forth unable to effectively stop the car!!! He said whom-ever had just serviced the brakes messed it up - and he asked who did the work? He had several mechanics staring in amazement at this... maybe they all wanted to witness my revealing who the guilty firm was.

I reached into my posctet and showed them the repair shop was (of course) them! I was not very happy at the moment - and was polite with an edge. I could have been physically hurt by this failure if I had had an emergency stopping situation. The look on thir faces was ashen.... to say the least. They retired a few steps away and naturally said they would stand by their work (how game) and would repair everything properly.

After it was fixed I took the car to another repair shop immediately and explained what had happened.... and would they look over my brakes, please. That deficient repair shop is not in business under the same name - it passed on within a year. However, their repair techs still work ... somewhere. To this day I remember the LOOK of the repair person who originally took care of my brakes!

I imagine everyone has some sort of story where they were the recipient of shoddy service or something similar. And if not... then your number is still coming up! <chuckles>

In conclusion on your original point... I had a Dell under a 3 year year extended warrenty. With less then 2 months to go til the extended warrenty epired I sent my notebook back to DELL for an odd intermittant repair. THeir service person called back to explain my notebook was unrepairable... so they were going to replace my nearly 4 year old computer with a new (refurbished) one. I revceived one with every measurable aspect improved excpet for screen resolution. I had their most advanced and highest resolution screen but it was less of a screen compared to the one I turned in. It has performed well for me now for nearly 2 years... no significant physical issues. I am happy with my DELL experience... although I know there are legions of individuals who are unhappy with DELL... as there are legions of individuals who are unhappy with various manufacturers. The trick is however - to buy from a source where there are the smallest number of unhappy customers!!!

wow ...the DIS is back ...anyone else have problems ???

Hey ...and why isnt the pirate in the smilies anymore ???? I have to clikc the more box to get it

pirate:

Alas, they keep getting changed around. But Bobby is still there!
