8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

You know........Just tossing this idea out there.......

Since we sail on Sunday, I am sure we will all atleast come in on Friday night or so. If many of us are staying at DL resorts or nearby, I wonder if we could get a bus to go together early to the port. Kinda like a preparty.

Whoohoo! Count us in - as of right now I'm planning on us flying in Thursday evening and having 2 days for fun. I also have family who live outside of LA and would probably have dinner with them on Friday night.

When I talked with a cm at DCL she told me we would be able to get 10 % and OBC. Could it be that DCL offers but not DU ?

I asked my TA at DU and she believed that the 10% discount would apply as we were changing the dates, not booking a whole new cruise. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

I told Hazel if she wants to make any calls on Wednesday that she will have to use her cell phone, the house line is off limits, LOL!!!

Actually they should stagger it with with the first being folks on DIS cruise meet threads booking 1st for their sailings, then DIS folks in general the next day, TAs for the general public next then - everyone else.

Wow glad to know we weren't the only ones talking about when we would fly out when it's like only 18 months out. We came up with Saturday.........only the day before. I won't be greedy. I always say Take What You Can Matey.

As soon as we even started talking about the possibility of even looking into this, we were making our flight plans! Yes, I am a complusive planner!

We are totally serious.

Gotta have a head start. It will be great for the kids too. We might have to rely on al you west coasters to tell us the best places to meet once we all figure out when we are coming and where we are staying.

Okay change of subject Diane is getting All Shook Up

So what is everyone having for dinner? Haven't quite decided what I am going to do with the chicken in th fridge........I was thinking maybe homemade Chicken and dumplings. Salad with strawberries, pecans, and goat cheese with balsamic vinaigrette. I bought chocolate chip cookie dough and my kids already at it all.

Well...

I hope you're all happy... I've been trying for TWO HOURS to catch up = and I never got closer then to 9 pages from the front of the thread! As fast as I'm reading (and ocassionally posting) you've all been posting at the SAME RATE as I read!!!! I am actually at page 293 - 8 pages behind 301 and I clicked back to here to reply on the dinner question -

We're havin' left overs - pasta and turkey meat balls and some Alaskan King crab legs I bought on sale WITH a markdown tag... it was $7.99 a pound then another $2 off. Oh... and I think we're making the last of the stuffed Costco stuffed Salmon. I get the left overs - the kids and spouse will polish off the fun food.

AND... now I gotta run my daughter to her Karate lessson. We're gonna switch from the $215 a month karate dojo to a much closer parks and REC program where you pay as you go at $6 a lesson! Wow... what a difference from $215 a month! I figure we'll save $190-$178 a month this way - and with 18 months before we sail this saves us $3,430 ~ $3,204. That should be enough to justify any price surprise we see come wednesday... maybe.

And will you guys do me a favor - NO SLACKING now that we're into the home stretch! I wanna come back from Karate and get another shot at a pirate's qualifying posting of the 5,000th for the thread. I'm gettting anxious since Verandah Man knocked me off the last one... so - let's pick up the pace... OK?

I gotta go tell our dojo master the news we're changing things now...
