My God-daughters little girl this morning before her first day of pre-school. Her precious excitement reminds me US when we've booked our next trip to Disney World! (Which I just did! )
Had to try one more time to see if she could still climb the magnolia tree in the front yard! Shed a few tears this evening as we said goodbye to our baby granddaughter . She's leaving in the morning to continue her "adventures in a gap year" with her sister in Florida. Sure is going to be quiet around here :
Every time I look at this pic, I see a face - the 2 arched windows are eyes, the circular window a nose, and a door mouth. and now I cannot "unsee" it!
DGD and her meteorology classmates visted the beach today in Indiatlantic to study the wave action on the east coast from the hurricane ! They weren't to high but checked about 9 pm and waves were already at 9 feet! Beautiful day though....

Peyto Lake, along Icefields Parkway, Canada (very difficult to get the entire lake in one picture given camera lens limitations and the crowds of visitors)
Our first "cool front" of the season arrived today...only had a high of 87 ! After 95+ most of the summer it "felt" like fall and made me think...it's ALMOST "pumpkin time"! I'm sure the hot weather will be back again soon but it's nice to dream.
