There are somedays I know that I have totally lost it. DH says I need to not cry about this.

I'm back on the ressie phone again. At least the "yo ho" pirate song is playing as I wait . .. LOL

Here's my challenge:
While onboard 1/13, submitted request for May & Aug REPO.
Called today. Only saw May REPO reserved. Cat 9, QUAD, $5889.96 (w/10% off).
CM couldn't find Augst REPO Reservation!!! Got reservation (and 10% OBD) for a whopping $8424.96 (Cat 9 GTY, QUAD).
Now I go back to the DCL website and the price for Cat 9 is only $8000!!! w/o the discount.

DH said to call back and explain to them that I should have a reservation for AUG and THEY need to fix this!!!

Any suggestions????While I wait on hold . . . AGAIN (was on for almost 2 hours last time!!!)

Is this for 2A 2K?

They really should make a way that you can book online and keep your 10%. Like a way to transfer your ressie online instead of making a new ressie? Or something. You know they COULD find a way to give the 10% even after they booked online... they just don't wanna.

But actually I feel sorry for the CM's this morning even without this issue! You know they are stressed out right about now...

You are being too rational...;)

The DCL agent did tell me that if the prices dip down at all after Feb. 3 when the deposits are due, we could call to get the difference in prices. I asked if they would automatically refund the cost differences and she said no, I'd have to call.

Didn't happen with the craziness last time & I doubt that it will now. :sad1:

OMG...I just got disconnected also! It must just shut off after 5 hours!

True...
Here's something I read on another thread:
Westbound Cruise
May 10-25, 2008
Cat 3 - 2 Adults
$11.549.48 (including transfers and insurance which we may drop later)

now see, I can't see paying MORE than that for a cat 6 or cat 7, and a cat 11... when I could have a cat 3 for less? (cat 3 includes concierge I know- but does it sleep 5?)

Now I go back to the DCL website and the price for Cat 9 is only $8000!!! w/o the discount.

You did something weird with the website because right now it shows a cat 9 with no ins & no transfers as $8812.96.

Still no news from my AAA agent on whether she could get the 10% off of the $11,908 or if she got a higher quote from DCL. I can't comprehend why she couldn't get through on her "special line" and I did (even though I had to wait a long time). She asked if I wanted the Westbound instead because it had a bunch of 6's left! I figured with me asking over 2 weeks ago to secure a category 6 that she'd have been on the phone at 8 AM and at least gotten through before the prices rose nearly $2,000. The original price I saw this morning as $10,008.00 for a 6 without transfers. I thought AAA may be able to beat it!

The problem with IF the prices dip (highly doubt it even with lots of cancellations) I only have an idea what my price is with the 10% already applied. I even asked if she could give me the nefore price, but she said she couldn't.

I had the price on the website up at the time and it was accurate for what she was quoting me with the 10% the base fare.

I had Todd ask the CM when he made the resie because I needed to know the base fare so she told him all of the non-commissionable fees.

I don't think that is the port fees though. I remember when I booked the Med and the CM telling me what the port fees and such were and then again when they dropped for the Med. Then when I was onboard and rebooking, I asked that CM why it wasn't a full 10% off the price before taxes and fees and she said there was something like $200 that wasn't discounted because it had something to do with commision?:confused3

To make it more clear, when the port fee went down for the Med, it came off the taxes and fees portion and not the base price portion from the website.

:grouphug: AND :wizard: to those of you who are still anxiously awaiting...
And to those of you who have been on hold and got disconnected, an extra :grouphug: to you. :sad2:

OMG! I just realized that I haven't taken anything out to start dinner. I was going to throw something in the crock pot. OOPS!

I can't tell you how bad I feel for those on hold for hours and hours only to get hung up on. That's way worse than me wondering what my TA got for me. I'm so sorry!

LOL!!!!!!!
I've already decided that after staying up all night (different reason) and then being all stressed out all morning and OBVIOUSLY not going to take a nap because I'm dying to know if we're on this cruise and if so- at what price!!!!- that tonight I'm going to be a bad mommy and we'll all have KFC chicken fried steak dinners at $1.99 each (Wed special I heard about on the radio) LOL

Bad bad mommy.
Oh well. they'll live.
