Did you hear them mention last night all the draft picks Miami gave up in hopes to find another Marino?

DS14 (that's hard for me to type -- he just turned 14 on 11/10) was upset I wouldn't let him stay up and watch the game after it was delayed because it's a school night, so I TIVOed it for him. I played him the last minute this morning and told him he literally missed NOTHING.

There aren't many like Marino but I still can't understand why they passed on Quinn. SWMBO was born in Miami and her and her family are still Dolphins fans, but this season is wearing on them.

Ok, so there were a few substantive posts to get you on your way to the next . I have to run to pickup the Princess from day care, shuttle her to Girl Scouts, then race to the middle school to pickup DS14 from Men's Ensemble practice, run home, throw something together for dinner, then take DS14 to swim practice.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's SuperDad.

(And by some strange coincidence I have the tights and a cape...)

And in the celebrity sighting department, SWMBO just saw Paula Deen in FAO Schwarz in downtown NYC. (She's there on business. My wife that is. Well, I guess Paula is too...)

We saw Paula at a Food & Wine event a couple of years ago -- she was really funny. She is one of the few we waited in line too see and it was so worth it.

Andrew, I was going to make a crack (no pun intended) about now you wouldn't know your add from a hole in the ground, but refrained (at least for a day) out of respect for the pain you must be in.

Prayers and pixie dust that they will find out what is wrong and speed you back to health.

Andrew, glad your back side is doing better. It certainly doesn't sound like my idea of fun.

Is there a polite airport anywhere?

PIT was always much nicer to my DH... A couple times his flights got cancelled through there due to weather problems, unlandable runways at destination (IPT) or missed connection due to weather.

They always put him up in a free hotel room, with free airport shuttle, gave meal vouchers, calling cards, and toiletry kit.

O'hare kicked him and his collegue out of the airport into a snowstorm with no place to go, no cabfare, no nothing. Luckily they had a business credit card and i was able to call around and find them a hotel room.

Didn't think I'd be around for the pirate but at the rate things are going I might be.

Doubt it though. On my way out soon for an IEP meeting with the school. Hopefully something will come of this. The 504 meetings weren't very productive.

I had to swing by the house - and am down for a few minutes before my next thing in about 20 minutes - THEN I'm hitting the road just before traffic starts ... woo hooo.... I'll be IN traffic some of the way.

OK.... time to really GO now - I am ahead of schedule - everything already at the door to carry out! I'll be missing the pirate sprint most likely - unless it's still running in 2-3 hours then I'll be able to maybe check in from my hotel lobby if my appointment is late or finishes early.
