Cheryl, right into a glass shelf I tell you there are just some crazy shoppers out there that make it hazardous for us friendly folks.

I am really pretty flexible except when it comes to my airlines reservations. I wish they would leave the durn things alone. I just don't think they realize all the concentration and planning that went into making them Those vouchers sure came in handy for you though --still not worth the aggravation.

No, the vouchers are not worth it. We just do not have much of a choice which airline because Chicago is United's home base. We usuually have American or United to fly a non-stop flight. The smaller airlines leave from Midway(an airport about 50 miles from me).

I filled out an application to host a Disney cruise line party in Jan. It sounds like alot of fun with prizes. I hope I get picked and if I do expect all you Chicago people to come to my party !!!

We can share our photo's, eat good food and just have fun.

I usually ketchup at work (shh don't tell anybody) and was pretty shocked on Monday morning. But it was fun to read all the posts, especially the fluff. Yes, I know I could have skipped through it, but I enjoy all the pictures and misc. musings. It does make me feel like I am getting to know the folks I will be traveling with for 15 days. On the other hand if I log on at home my DH glances over at the laptop and says "you really want to get to know these people?" He just doesn't understand. He is especially "disturbed" by some of Crash's pictures and just shakes his head. I can say all these things because he doesn't check the board. He is a dear though and I love him. I may even post our wedding pictures if I can figure out how.

I don't post much (rather reserved) but I really like reading what all of you have to say even if I don't have much to add. But I may take a stab at the next run. It looked like so much fun.

I am feeling great today, thanks. Unfortunately, treatment tomorrow. It all starts again . Don't know if I will make it for Thanksgiving Dinner at the In-laws. They are just around the corner so I can go over anytime when I feel better.

Since it's Norwegian Cruise Line, and they have the Freestyle dining...I CAN get away with flip-flops every night....except we wanted to do one semi-formal night (Christmas night) so that we could take a picture, and make it special. Maybe I can choose a really long dress, so my flip-flops won't show....

Stace just wear some sparkly flip flops & go for it! I'm sure you will look beautiful no matter what!

It sure was exciting! I felt like I should've been lighting up a cigarette after all was said & done.....but I don't smoke!

Do you suppose that this "I might even be lucky enough to call some of the people real friends after the cruise" includes the shifty ones who are constantly droning about thier claims of "innocence" or those who spontaneously chant "TAKE WHAT YA CAN" for no apparent reason regularly...

Yeah - we're motoring out in the early AM too to get to the airport. Gonna go see my new nephew in Boston - and serve as babysitter for my niece while BIL stays with Mom in the hospital. Or so that is the plan!

Maybe we'll slip away on Friday for the fabled BLACK FRIDAY in the Boston area. Not sure though if that will come off though. Ya' know - the Boston folks drive like maniacs in some ways so we're cautious of the idea of venturing too far on such a crazy shopping day.

Anyways - I'll feeling sort of wierd with the busy schedule lined up for the next few weeks - sort of an uneasy tense anxiety. Odd, eh?

Excuse me, but I resemble that remark about Boston drivers!

Tom: Please believe me when I say I am Thankful & feel blessed. I try not to show on the outside and hope you and everyone else didn't take my posts the wrong way. I didn't mean to come accross whining and complaining, it's just my way of keeping people updated since I brought up my whole medical issue in the first place, also I find it like a hot air balloon, just letting the air out. I am used to it raining then pouring but I also believe in making lemons out of lemonade.

Aw that's just Crash trying to cheer you up, but I don't think anyone thinks you're whining. And even if you were...what a great place to do it! I'll even offer you some cheese!

Jean, I think you are seeing the "freak flags" in the siggies. This stems from our dear friend MaryRose O'BW and our Friday night chats. So many of us designed our own flags. Personally, I was never creative enough to come up with one. Roger and TomB made quite a few of them.

And speaking of MaryRose, I really miss her.

Yep my flag is my avatar since I can't fit one in my sig anymore, but I didn't make it myself. I'm sure someone would be glad to make one for you!

Tina, I don't think any of us have taken you as whining or complaining. Sharing our joys and struggles is perfectly acceptable and it is going to make those hugs when we finally meet mean all the much more.

Paula -- what happened? Is she not going to be cruising? Sometimes it hits me how many people have gone AWOL, so to speak, and since I have had periods of time when I didn't even try to keep caught up, I know I've missed some things.

Mmmmmm don't really know why a lot of people have gone AWOL. I'm hoping some are just busy, but I also know that a few no longer want to be part of this fun group, but I've never been told the complete reason why. I've always felt as if I somehow did or said something collectively wrong, but I don't know what it is.

Everyone here now seems to be a good natured bunch that gets along just fine, but I did get smacked with a snowball recently, so you do have to watch them!

Funny you should say that! Sometimes I go to tell DH how hilarious something was on the thread...."OMG it was so funny...you should've seen"....but he just looks at me with that blank look on his face so somehow it gets lost in translation. I guess you have to experience it, to appreciate it!

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. Only one more day of work and tomorrow no one will be around and I've been told I'm in charge!

Tina hope your recovery goes well. And no you aren't whinning! It is really wonderful how we all share our lives and this thread has made me smile on those days when everything seems to go wrong.

A little pixie dust fell on dd. When we got home from her dance class last night there was a call that dd had won 2 raffle items at a craft show we went to this weekend. We stumbled on it and since we hadn't been to one in a while we stopped in. She won a very cute canvas tote bag with red and purple gloves on it and a sampler of Party Lite votive candles. I put a ticket in the bag for the tote bag... wonder if I can con her out of it? She was so excited. I went at lunch time, so my apoligies to anyone who was on I-75 between downtown Detroit and Southgate at noon! The things we do for our children!


Tonight we are going to the school board meeting as dd was involved in the making of a instructional folk dancing video. They have t-shirts and I think they are going to do a dance.
