Our weather has been really awful tonight too. I made sure I got home in time to watch GA tonight and the weather guys had been on straight since before 8pm. Hope everyone else has had a safe evening.:)

We had the bad stuff night before last.

Man, miss one day & end up with 10 pages of ketchup...

I haven't been on lately so playing ketchup. It has been a tough week. My dad passed away on Sunday and the funeral was today. The board has been a great diversion this week. Something to keep my mind off all that is going on around here.
Terri

Condolances on your loss, I'm glad we can provide you with a way to DIStract yourself. Be kind to yourself & your family.

Cheryl my nephew started it and it has stuck. I tried so hard to get Adam to call my Mom Gramma, but it wasn't happening--she's Memaw!:)

My daughter calls my mom her "ayah" That's the only word she'll use.

Go figure, I would have thought a rum dispenser.....

Ah, but there never *is* enough rum

Gee I thought I was the only one who stayed up till ungodly hours...well except for Crash of course! ;)

And Sil and Jack and...

THIS IS MY 1000TH POST ON THIS BOARD !!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

GO!!! Arlene!

So tell me couselor, what is the billable hour rate for a :pirate: run?

Something else that falls into the "too much information" category.

My highlight at WDW is the Wishes Fireworks at the MK. We were there this summer and my DH secretly bought me the CD. He gave it to me as a surprise this morning. I listened to it 4 times today on my way to and from work. I love it so much. :goodvibes

Way to earn husband points - I'm sure he knows how much you love it... err, HIM.

Well hello everyone..............I am back.:thumbsup2

Welcome back, Tina.

Just popping in before I hit the bed. It was a long day.Between all the running around today and then an Association meeting tonight and again a raise in the maintenance. Ugh!!!
Good news was since we have been hurricane free, we are not needing any emergency assessments. Hate assessments.

The kids are here for the night, No school tomorrow. So they pirated my computer again. I think I promised them breakfast at Friendlys.

Jack, glad to hear your DD is doing better:thumbsup2

Stace, I remember when DH was doing baby steps. It didn't take him long to successfully graduate to stairs. Glad to hear your progress.

Recovery has been worse then I ever thought it would be. Some things I wasn't prepared for............5 % of people who have this done have some things happen afterwards and well I was one of the lucky 5 %. It's really awful to tell and trust me you don't want to know. Couple of days after operation I developed a cold. Still trying to get rid of it !!!

It was nice to have my Mom here for a week. I missed my DD homecoming.:sad1: My Mom took plenty of pics though.:thumbsup2 Here is one and while she was here she made Dante a sweater coat. He loves it !!

More news to follow in next post.:surfweb:

Darn............can't get image up from photobucket.

Did you know we were wondering how you were? Tina, your daughter looks so pretty. Happy to hear you have the pictures.Take it easy til you feel strong enough .

I'm calling it a night.

Just a quick hello...

I'm in a hotel lobby on thier free courtesy terminal 140 miles or so from home - just finished my meeting and am waiting on some stuff from a colleague before I hit the road.

Congrats to Arlene ... I'll have a special image fer ya once I git back home.

Terri ... I'm so sorry to hear of this... sympathy and hugs to you and your family on your loss. Honor the past by moving forward with strength when you're ready.

Paula ... thanks fer the encouragement - I'll return to my image posting when I get back to MY computer and have some time again. AND - good luck getting your variances cleared. AND... that was an interesting rig for stealing fuel. What on Earth do they do with it --- like WHO really buys 2nd hand fuel? It was ONLY worth $500 for the 180 gallons - they would go through all that trouble to resell it at what ... HALF price? Wacky if ya ask me. ... But the other guy 70 year old guy who was stealing 1000 gallons a week... that's $12,000 a month and $144,000 a year at full retail. Where was HE gonna resell that much fuel?

I wanna say more to other folks but I gotta go now. Got 2 hours drive ahead of me and I'm tired. GOnna be jello when I get home. SO - TTFN!

Edited - I'm back home - making corrections to mis-typed words and such.

TTFN!

Tina, glad to hear you're recovering and congratulations on the potential job!! Sounds like a great opportunity.

We had no storms or even rain last night though it was predicted we would. Must have all gone down to Chicago :confused3

I wouldn't be near Chuck's end of business.

Wow, that's good Tina...........

Sorry, that line was too good to pass up.............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Really though, congrats, I hope it works out for you!!! :thumbsup2

Guess your on another vacation? Hope your having a great time. We were going to try and plan a few days at the world after Christmas but doesn't look like it now. I am in Disney withdrawl.

Feels good to be back. Thought about you last week...........How are you & your family adjusting to the move & job? Brooke is doing good, making friends but can't help tp compare " How " everything is different in NY.

I believe they have a light overhead and shine it in your eyes while a big German nurse says "Ve have vays uf makinking you tan"

Thanks for the laugh.:lmao: :lmao: Did you get hit with the storms yesterday?

I am doing the early 10.10am flight on the 13th.

Looking forward to the new airport lounge at terminal 5.

We're on the next flight at 11:55. I'm most looking forward to only having to battle from J10 of the M4 to LHR rather than round the M25 to LGW!!! T5 will be a new experience & by then hopefully all the teething problems with luggage etc. will be sorted! It still means we arrive in LAX early afternoon so we'll hopefully then have time to settle in & the girls can have a swim before venturing out to find food. I hope the jetag won't be too bad, but am still anticpating a 5am wake up the first morning!

Have a good day everyone. Going to try and push myself a little bit more today. I can't tweek my resume because I lost it when my computer crashed.:sad2: So I will be doing a new one this weekend.

Does anyone have a update on stace? How is her recovery going?:wizard:

Good Morning Sunshine!

Well - it does seem sort of grey outside - so this probably only applies above 8,000 feet .... the or the estimated cloud ceiling...

Guess your on another vacation? Hope your having a great time. We were going to try and plan a few days at the world after Christmas but doesn't look like it now. I am in Disney withdrawl.

phoneb~1.gif

No vacation... although I'm mostly a SAHD... I do have business interests to attend to from time to time. Just a couple of days ago I was telling Alicia I need to maybe get out to Chicago for a day or so... but I'll try to handle it by phone as usual. Ever since 9-11 and the arrival of our kids I've found a different way of balancing and approaching business pursuits.

Anyways - I gotta get the older girl ready for school now...

Excuse me....

No sunshine here either Crash, in fact is just started raining as I was on my way home for lunch. Some of the weather from the midwest is arriving here on the eastcoast. We are supposed to have severe thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening. So much for the high school Homecoming Game tonight. At least the Homecoming Dance isn't until tomorrow night, supposed to be a lot nicer by then for the kids!!! :thumbsup2

Oh my, Hazel just arrived home from food shopping, have to help her get the food in the house, then grab some lunch. See y'all later.....

Thanks for the laugh.:lmao: :lmao: Did you get hit with the storms yesterday?

Welcome back. Hope you're back on your feet soon.

No storms here yesterday -- kept expecting them but never came.

Gray and gloomy today. I hope it warms up and the sun comes out. I am spending the weekend camping with my boys at Rock Cut (near Rockford) with their Scout troop. I have an eight-mile hike ahead of me tomorrow with our High Adventure crew and don't want to be slogging through mud.

I hope the jetag won't be too bad, but am still anticipating a 5am wake up the first morning!

I arrive about 1pm ,hope to do some sleep on the flight, go to the hotel and maybe get into Disneyland for at least the fireworks that night,

I know they are 'testing' T5 now they asked for volunteers to go and pretend to fly,

PS

The weekend starts here and i am off work for a week!!!:thumbsup2
