Working on my Mr. Cotton as well. First attempt was from our recent Wonder trip. DW made the shirt. Will need to get a different color scarf and a vest by next year. Sorry for the scary look. Also need to smug up my face a bit.

Spirits are mixed. By next week we should know the course of treatment.

Hi everyone!

Have just spent my lunch hour playin ketchup...again! I don't know where all my time goes as it seems to be ages since I last got to log on to the DIS.

Roger - thanks for the virtual tour. I can't believe our TOAL will be over in less than 12 months, which means I have even less time to pay for it.

Pam/Crash & others - photography stuff is interesting & useful to DH. He's starting a course at the end of the month as we know we don't use our DSLR to its full potential.

I'm guessing that today is Labor day - so I hope you are all having a great time.

Saw that Aruba escaped the worst of the wrath of Felix, but the remnants of Dean caused a few deaths in Acapulco when there were some landslides. Hoping that we'll get good weather all the way, otherwise we may find ourselves on a magical mystery tour, or alternatively marooned somewhere...Castaway Cay maybe?

Will try not too fall off the planet again...but DH is off overseas for just over 2 weeks with his job so there is no guarantee.

... I was just looking at the H-Felix tracks and was thinkin' ... I sure hope our voyage does not see any disruptions from "H" activity next August. We're supposed to be in the midst of a "cycle" of higher than normal "H" activity which should continue for a couple more years before we fall back into a period with several years of lower than average "H" activity.

... either way ... I know our ship can manouver around the weather - and modify the port rotation a bit to bring us into exotic destinations during this otherwise mildly threatened region. Yeah... It's extremely remote to have our trip disrupted - but I did have a disrupted voyage a couple of years ago with "H" Francis.

OK... enuf of that - I kno.... it's time for me to catch some rest. I turned in really early last nite and now I'm ready to catch a few more hours rest. It's been a multi-day heat STORM out here... with temperatures running above 107 locally and ... just a dozen miles towards Los Angeles we had the highest temps in the county in Woodland Hills at 112 two days ago! I tell you ... stepping out our front door and taking that first breath of hot air from an air conditioned environment is a real SHOCK. I had been thinking of visiting DL today - but my spouse thinks I'm insane with the heat and all. I - on the other hand look upon it as a reason for the park to be empty or light with the crowds. At the end of the evening though she pretty much talked me out of it. Sigh.... there's always next weekend I guess...

I have taken a day off today, as its my sons birthday, he is 9 today, he usually has his birthday either on the Magic or on the flight home, next year we leave the Magic two days before he is 10.

My guess earlier in the week was right on. My surgery will be on the 10th of September, at noon.

I have plantar fasicitis. They'll go in at the heel and remove the bone spur, then remove the damaged portion of the ligament and also cut the ligament to loosen it. Then they'll (for some reason...I didn't ask, I was scared to) drill 3 holes in the bone in my heel and finish by going up to my calf and cutting a part of the calf muscle to loosen that.
Three weeks in a non weight-bearing cast, then 3 more in a walking cast.
When that's all healed and I'm done with therapy....and if I haven't left the country to avoid it, they'll repeat the process on my right foot.

Continued good wishes for your daughter! I wouldn't want to see any young person go through all this....or any pain for that matter. So I hope she's doing really well.

Okay , here is a little tease of some info and pics ....

So , on our last night we were at dinner in PC , SM had a headache so I told her I would go up to the room to get her some asprin , Well I walked into the room and was shocked to find a package along with a stuffed Pirate Goofy , key Chains , pens , signed pictures of the Characters, a Certificate for being the Best Dressed Pirate and a personal note from our Cruise Director and Friend Rachel ....I wont write the complete details of the letter but it was to say how she loves that we put so much effort into having fun and sharing that with others ...Like I said almost made me cry to know that she went out of her way to do this ....I later saw her and thanked her and she had tears welling up as well ...It was something I would have never expected and will never forget , just when you think the Magic is almost over Rachel proved that the magic will always be there ....So here is a picture of that

Also here are some pictures as I promised of us wearing our PC shirts the last morning before we got off the ship ...front and back of course ....Now I have tons of Pirate pictures but we have to scan those in cause they are really really good and will do that tomorrow ....

Cool treasure there Todd. Also love the T-*****s. Can't wait for more photos.
