Thank very much Mary Ann. Would you believe I bought this at Ross for less than $25.00? It's made to look like a 2pc with a sequin applique on the top and one on the skirt. And the best part...it's machine wash!

You can find some really great deals at Ross. You look great in that dress!

This whole $100 per person thing has pretty much clinched my decision to cancel the DCL Transfers for our reservation. I am pretty sure that by arranging our own I can save about $100 so that is 1 of the 3 of us covered there.

Actually, if this group here decides to put together a bus or something from either DL to the port or Port Canaveral to MCO it could possibly save even more. The most expensive leg of the trip I am estimating will be from Disneyland to the port - the cheapest shuttle service I have found would be around $55 for the 3 of us. If we don't end up with a group bus or something like that - are they any families of 3 or 4 that plan to stay at the HoJo? A single group of 6 or 7 is cheaper on most of the shuttles than 2 groups of 3 or 4!

That's what I'm thinking.

My only concern with a shared shuttle/bus is the possibility that luggage may not fit. Since we will all be packed for 2+ weeks, we need to be sure that there is enough room for all of the luggage. Perhaps we should explore....

Here is a not so funny story. DS was in the marching band and they were off to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Now they were going to be there for NYE and were needing their dress clothes and uniforms. When we got to the school ,they realized the buses were not the ones they originally saw and they didn't have enough room under for the bags and the instruments. Mind you this was a band of over 200 There were chaperones going with the kids so they ran home to get their own vehicles and one parent rented a uhaul to take the drums and larger instruments.Poor planning especially since the band always needed a truck to carry the instruments. So yes with all the luggage I was wondering the same thing as well. Let's see what Chris and Julie come up with

I lost my 10% onboard discount too!!! I was on hold for 90 minutes as I saw the price keep jumping. I also got one of the highest tiers!!! Mary Ann you just said in writing what we are all feeling!!!

Just wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. It was a very nice relaxing day.

Do you remember the Polio Vaccine? It came on a sugar cube. I remember that I was very upset cuz I could only get one!

Back in the 50"s (Yikes) when the polio vaccine came out, they herded us into the gym at school to inject everyone. The scene was pure panic. They had the nurses with their big hats(remember those?) and they lined everyone up and the younger kids were screaming for their parents. What a nightmare. But what a blessing the shot was. Friends of my parents daughter had gotten it during that summer and she was left confined to a wheelchair My friend and I used to take her to her classes at college and take notes for her.

Have not gotten an email yet. I think the mail is still in the box so I will check tomorrow. If I don't hear anything I will call allseas Thurs. This really stinks !

Another funny story . Sorry!!!! Just ketchuping up. When I saw Debs post of the swimwear it really made me laugh. I used to do the markdowns for a major discounter and we had the boys swimwear to mark down. The speedos all had different style names etc. One had the style of and I kid you not "meat packer" Needless to say we were all on the floor

Hi all, hope you having a fantabulous Tuesday:

Chicagoans -- sorry I missed the meet. DS13 made the championship swim meet so that's how we spent our weekend. His U14 water polo team also won the Naperville city championship last week. He didn't score a goal but had a couple of assists (and no drowned horses).

Andy -- sorry to hear about the shingles. hopes they go away soon

Andrew -- have fun in the Med and don't do anything I would do.

All -- sad to hear about the $100 fee. Reaffirms our decision to cancel -- that would have killed our OBC and Disney VISA points we were planning to use for on-board spending. It's pretty lousy of DCL to pass that along to people with confirmed reservations. I know they are running a business, but like someone else said, this wasn't out of the blue and they could have built it into their pricing structure.

Mickey puzzles -- we have two in our loft with two more photomosiacs in the basement (one of Pooh and one of the castle) still to be done.

Hi JR, Sorry you didn't make it but I understand. Maybe our family can get together another time. Congrats to you DS. I give you alot of credit for that one puzzle. I almost ordered that one on line last night but said NO WAY !! I ordered the Mickey Mouse in front of castle and I still think I am nuts.

I got this from my agent at DU when I aksed about whether the tax applied was per cabin or per person and if there was provisions for babies, infants etc like on the fare (which should have been my clue: DCL doesn't really charge a 'fare' for infants under 2 but does collect gov't taxes and fees):

I’m afraid $100.00 per ‘warm body’ is correct. The only exception is if your cruise was paid in full prior to the tax increase. ​

And when asked if the fee already hit or could we pay it off now...

Yes, the increase happened on the 17th. We didn’t receive the letter until yesterday. ​

Oh, that brings back memories. They made us all come to the schol gym for the polio vacine. It came out just six months after we all were exposed when one of our neighborhood group got polio. They came in and pulled us all out of school and took us to our doctors immediately for some monster shot that hurt like the devil. Luckily his was a mild case with no lasting side effects and none of us caught it. That was a scary time.

Well, I'm going to give it a try and go into work today, so I had better get myself ready. My chest doesn't hurt as much as it has over the past few days, so I'm going to give it a try. Of course, I already have Thurs. and Fri. scheduled off as vacation days, so this will make for a very short work week......... With the 3 trainees I've had over the past month, we are actually ahead in the meter readings.......

HC I have had 3 conversations over getting my new CC package. I have been waiting since the end of April. I talked to a supervisor and asked if DCL wanted me to send the stamps!! She told me I should get it by the 27th of July. Still waiting.

Well, my one day at work this week, turned into one hour at work. I started working and only got about 10 houses done and was just feeling too weak to continue so I came back home and went back to bed for awhile.

That is Buttons,she's one of 6 minis at my Mom's. I want to say she was about a month old when this was taken, we're getting ready to wean her this week(4 months). She's about 22" right now. Don't expect she'll get much taller than 26"-28" when she's full grown.
