oops...my bad. I see that "keep the rain away" part now!! :guilty:

And yep...not ten minutes ago, the little turd-brain tinkled in the house.

LG thank you and I Miss You TOO!!!! I appreciate your words of wisdom and insight!

I miss sooooo many of you!!!

Maybe this can be a time for healing on our thread. Somethings are sooooo hard to do in writing! Things are easily confused and even less easily explained away, but do know the following things to be true:

1) Many good friends feelings are hurt.
2) Many goods friends are confused, even bewildered.
3) Many good friends feel underappreciated.
4) Many good friends feel they've been thrown under the bus.
5) Many good friends NEVER want to see our thread CLOSED down EVER
6) Many good friends feel so strongly about the items above that they are no
longer cruising with us and/or no longer post here.

If you read back through the posts, LG is absolutely correct, there is hurt behind what appears to be anger in some posts.

It is sad, deep down to the core sad. I have passed away many a day and night posting, chatting, laughing and crying here and I miss it!

We are a large group and it is NOT possible for us all to get along and like one another, life just doesn't work that way.

I think some people deserve apologies and some people ought to offer apologies. I think I fall of both sides of that, but today I am offering my apologies, for things I posted and things I thought, for not being as grateful or as understanding as I should have, for being a chicken when I should have stood up for some, and for trying to sway popular opinion when I had no right to do. For these things, and for many things I AM SORRY!

Alas I am MR and so I will leave this serious subject with a little funny. I will approach this thread from this perspective from now on: Opinions are like Butts...............we all got 'em.........and they all STINK!

No apologies needed. :hippie:

From Wikipedia,

The pharmacology professor that I got it from had first hand knowledge of it with a first hand account.

I bet he did

I must give a Shout Out to my Good Jade East Friend Sil! Excellent Job Pal!

I am so sorry to have missed what looked like a really great time! And I must concur that Pete and Jack and families are the Hosts with Most!

Hiya Laura and Roger!!

Tonight we have The Police Concert at Giants Stadium and we're totally stoked!

Hope you have fun. I always enjoyed their music.

oh come on....:lmao: Really...Where is the tag fairy when you desperately NEED HER?
:rotfl2:

BTW ....had to change the signature... 60 was so last month...

It's -70 as of this morning (so fitting on the eve of our 70K post)...  (i loose weird in steps)

Going to Towson to meet Brack and Annette for lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe there..... VOLCANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure they will have a camera...will post pics later.... If i miss the 70K mark congrats to that pirate:

Ah yes, I seem to remember a story around your sister and brother going if I am remembering correctly. I hope they have a great time and keep your fingers crossed for the weather I believe there's a 60% chance of rain tonight.

I had won tickets to see Elton John and Billy Joel and let me tell you it was a monsoon when we pulled up at the Citrus Bowl. We couldn't evern get out of the car.The good things about that were: We parked on the field right near the entrance as no one was there to take any $. (The attendants all ran into the stadium, )I was able to take both my large golf umbrella and the camera with me as there wasn't anyone to check you at the entrance. We stuck it out under the bleachers for way over an hour . We did have our ponchos as well which was a good thing . Kept the umbrella up as well as it was leaking under the bleachers . Rich so wanted to leave. After all we didn't pay for the tickets but I was determined to stick it out. They delayed the concert for around an hour or so and then they allowed us inside. We also had field seats and had a wonderful night complete with a full moon (which they superimposed on the screens when Elton was signing the song from The lion King.) So if I had listened to DH we would've missed a dynamite concert.. And I got pictures to boot!!!!Just pack an umbrella or poncho. You'll have a great time.

In Philly the tickets were marked "this is a rain or shine event" There were sprinkles before we went in. Citizens Bank Park confiscated everyone's umbrellas at the gate.

congrats on the 70!!!! That is really something....I wish I could claim 10 right now...ah well!!

Everybody have a great time at RFC - DD loves it there. We were able to surprise her last August with a stop at Towson on our way home from DC last year....enjoy that volcano!!!!:)

:wizard:

Don't worry...you are not the only Texan on this thread!! I live in Houston, sorry if I don't post much but all I have time for right now is just to read on what is going on!! I will be in San Antonio the first half of the week and in Arlington from Wed. thru Fri.
Okay cool. Good to know I'm not the only Texan. :)

That is so awesome! Way to go Kristina! Now lend me some of your willpower because I sure could stand to lose weight too! I'm so proud of you!

Anyone else read about WDW's increase in ticket prices that eliminates some advance purchase discounts, reduces the number of water park admissions on some tickets.

Enter conspiracy land......

Coupled with the recent "rude" way in which DCL found a way to "gouge" a bunch of the most loyal cruisers, could it be that the Parks and Resorts is having financial difficulty and wouldn't meet their projected income......

According to the DIS podcast, tourism in Orlando area is down (although Disney never releases numbers).....

hmmmm....
I'm no with your (pretend) conspiracy theory but I had heard of ticket price increases... I don't know what you're talking about eliminates advance purchase discounts, reduces number of "plus" on the tickets. That's news to me. Is that for real?
I'm not really stressing much about it though. We likely won't be back to WDW until sometime after this TOAL (and not immediately after because we'll have to rush back because of school)- and I fully expect ticket prices to be increased probably several times by then. LOL

I'm loving the Freak Flag MR

And was thinking of all the Freak Flyers here when I heard it in the Family Stone that I rented the other night.
I'm lost on the freak flag thing. I must have missed something.... as usual!

Oh no...it's not to bring the rain, but to chase it away.

We had a choc lab that also refused to potty in the rain. She'd literally run circles in the kitchen doing her 'pee pee dance' before she'd ever dare step a paw outside. So I feel your pain!
LOL
Our little Tramp does the same thing! Then we let him out and he hangs out on the patio cause he doesn't want to go out in the rain. But he needs to go "potty" so we walk him out in the rain against his will and then he stands there (while we both get soaked) looking at me like I'm crazy for making him come out in the rain. So we started just leaving him on the patio until he decides he's got to go and ventures in the rain- but he's too smart for that... apparently he can't do his business on wet grass either so lately he's taken to running over to the concrete pad (extended driveway into our backyard where dogrun is and travel trailer) and does his business there! Can't really complain though- atleast picking up his "business" is easy when it's all in one area and not hiding in the grass. LOL
We've had a lot of rain lately.... this behavior of his wasn't noticable until the past few months when it's rained almost daily!

Mary Rose... I sure have missed you! :grouphug:

I don't know Tom, we have field seats and with all that equipment at Giants Stadium I hope we're not electrocuted :lmao:

If you do, you will make the 11 o'clock news!! I'll look for ya! :lmao: :lmao:

I hope the weather holds out for ya!!! Last summer I was at Giants Stadium for the Bon Jovi concert. LIGHTNING---POURING RAIN. The show went on. Of course not as long as it would have, they did cut it short. My friend and I were soaked from head to toe. But it was a blast. We really didnt mind the rain cause it was during a awful heat wave so it was like 99 and soooooooo humid.

That's what I read on a Disney savings newsletter....

I'm not really stressing much about it though. We likely won't be back to WDW until sometime after this TOAL (and not immediately after because we'll have to rush back because of school)- and I fully expect ticket prices to be increased probably several times by then. LOL

Same here....:sad2:

I'm lost on the freak flag thing. I must have missed something.... as usual!

Ah, the Freak Flags..... Well to start with, it was all MR's fault :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: joke

The discussion of "freak flags" began in chat when some STs wouldn't stop pestering the 2 a.m. ladies discussion (I was not there) and apparently MR was conversationally discouraging the STs from sticking around. Somewhere about 20,000 posts ago there is dictionary definitions of a freak flag. So MR got this green flag that said "Let your ______ flag fly" (its the original of the one that ended up her avatar). I think someone else posted it for her. So I edited the word "freak" in place of what ever the ______ said (tough getting old, can't remember shot).

Some conversation back and forth and I found a clip art blender and pasted it in, MR asked for the Capt. Jack skull and her avatar was created. Then I made a crude version of the flag in her sig and Roger improved it greatly.

Suddenly a bunch of people wanted their own "freak flags." They would say what they wanted on it, Crash would find some graphics and post them, Roger (King Nutmeg) or I would merge into a flag.

More or less the story...

BIP, once again I am at work today. :sad2: But when I get home I will whip one up for your. You need a Freak Flag. If you have in any ideas, let them be known.

And yes it is all MR's fault. :lmao:

Do y'all have season passes? We do. If you want to meet sometime let me know --- I won't go when it's a 100.....Obviously you will. ;)

Can you say Sucker! :lmao: My oldest DD is not as social as her littler sis so this is her B-day party every year. I take Megan and her best friend and my youngest DD and we spend the day at 6Flags. Last year we caught Aly and AJ in concert which they loved. This year it was Coobrila. OMG! They were incredible.
It was SOOOO HOT yesterday! I was getting strange looks since my shirt has a huge sweat stain in front- just from standing in line. At one point, after standing in line for over an hour for that dumb re-done bobsled ride- I was willing to pay $20.00 for a cold bottle of water.
Anyway, I am $250.00 lighter but, they had a GREAT time- and I survived. All good things.:rotfl2:

WHEW... what a wild ride we have been on here lately.

I will say I am no longer confused over the previous issue that I tried to go back and see what I missed.

As it has been said it is difficult for a LARGE group of people to all get along and that is life. I am here to get to know everyone and find out helpful hints from those whom have taken this trek before.

I look forward to the months to come. :hippie:

Um, okay...I think I understand now. Thanks for trying to explain it to me.

So who is around now?
Me, myself and I.

BIP, once again I am at work today. :sad2: But when I get home I will whip one up for your. You need a Freak Flag. If you have in any ideas, let them be known.

And yes it is all MR's fault. :lmao:
I do? I need one?
Well I have no imagination whatsoever. I didn't even think up BIP- I just went along for the ride (once it was clear there was no use fighting the masses on that :lmao: )
No clue what my freak flag would/could be. I'm a little scared of what you might think up though. LOL

Can you say Sucker! :lmao: My oldest DD is not as social as her littler sis so this is her B-day party every year. I take Megan and her best friend and my youngest DD and we spend the day at 6Flags. Ah, my fellow Texan. How could I forget ya?

We tried to go to 6flags last Monday- and it rained from about 30min after we got there! Within an hour and a half they were giving our rainchecks (even though it's strictly their policy not to). I mean come on- we all walked in and POURING pretty much from the moment we got thru the gates and no end in sight.
So I have a raincheck for our tickets- and the flash pass. (Yes, flash passes are expensive but do you think I want to stand around in line for over an hour and get a huge sweat stain in front of my shirt? uhuh no way! LOL I'm kidding.... ) We're going to have to go back soon before school starts to use those rainchecks- but I'm leary of going when it might rain again. Next time they might not give rainchecks and I already wasted the gas driving there and the $20 for parking last time! And I'll have to pay that again. I want to go on a day we can all ride the rides, by gosh! someone get me a crystal ball... stat.

How is La Vibora dumb and redone? We obviously didn't get to ride it the day we were there- it was closed at opening due to rain the day before and they said it would be open later- and it promptly started pouring again. I like that ride, but I like others too and I wait for none of them. I wish they had free fast pass like WDW but they don't- so I pay for flash pass (we usually just go once or twice per summer) and we be-bop from ride to ride all day. It's hard for me to spend that much money on it- but it's worth it because I don't think at my age (and my weight, etc. blah blah blah) my sanity could handle standing in that heat for such long periods of time. 2hr lines? puhlease... so not for me!

I really wanted to see coobrila though...
OMG $20 for a bottled water? That's beyond highway robbery. I knew things were expensive there but I had no idea $20 for bottled water. (I bring my empty water bottle and refill at the coldest water fountains. I'm so cheap eh? LOL)

Maybe sometime I'll "see" you there and not even realize it? LOL Glad it didn't rain on ya!

Hi Cheryl,
Wow - my blanketly-blank computer lost my 1st reply to you.
So - okay 1st - jealous - yes - if some "old blond broad" - kept talking about a Fabulous Med Repo crusie - yeah I'd be Major Green!!!!

okay - only Laura will be staying - but the rest of us returning will also be leaving on 9/1 - plus Esteri also is flying out at 2:30 on 9/1.
Can't figure out how to get any kind of meet - that's why I've joked that I'm renting a car & I'll make sure I've got unlimited miles so I can perhaps do roving "meets"!!!
I'm not sure of Monica's flight - Pam leaves early , Todd at 12:30 or about, Julie leaves really early - I leave at 7pm.
So - that's why I've said HELP!!
Especially - as I'm leaving soon - but - I really would like to meet up w/some fellow pirates!

No not major green with envy just Dis Lime Green:rotfl2: Sorry but I guess we will miss the rest of the repo by two days.:sad2:

I would love to hear all about the trip. The more I know the more I can work on DH to go to Disney Paris in two years!!!:woohoo:

I am so jealous of all the mini-meets. We simply can't afford to go to WDW before this cruise- we're saving for this TOAL ofcourse!

Am I the ONLY Texan on this thread? Can't we get a little mini-meet somewhere down these parts? I guess not if I'm the lone Texan here...

BIP, Step 5 is from Texas. I think she lives near Arlington.

Thanks so much, if we lived closer I would have taken you up on your offer, I like very, very, wet pools, makes landing on the bottom so much softer......

Sorry LG, I must have missed your names for the new ships........

Your thoughts farther down in your post were quite touching, thanks for sharing your feelings!!! I just got offline with the theatre that My Lady and I went to last evening. I just ordered us season tickets for the 2008 shows the theatre is putting on. We really had a nice time last night, and now that our ST is getting older, and she has her friends to keep her occupied, it's time for dear old momster and dadster to share some quality time together again, sadly, it's something we have missed over the past several years.

You need to take the plunge and do something for yourselves!!!:cool1: The season tickets sounds like a plan to have "date night again."

..oh, micmse? so you "fight" over :mickeybar too, instead of the purple~
pixie queen..we'll need to change..it to the one~eye purple raider that
jack sent?
well, be forewarn...while i may not bite...i do how to bark..woof!
..oh, you might be related to paul revere or that another raider? might'yo?

my interest here...was made when i started posting, and my desire, is
to support this

I said before Lil Grumpy, "You are the Conscious of this thread." Keep reminding us when we are bad!!!:lmao:

Now as for those Mickey:mickeybar bars....that is totally different!!!

I like my new name purple`pixie queen.

LG thank you and I Miss You TOO!!!! I appreciate your words of wisdom and insight!

They are all three phenominal musicians, but, Sting? His voice is spot on. And, he still makes me weak in the knees.

Me too Lisa!!!

Okay what is your magic secret???:confused3 It took me almost 3 years to lose 50 pounds.:rolleyes1 I can still aford to lose more.:rotfl: We need to talk.;) Not only is it healthier but I bet you feel better!!! I need to pm. you later.

Hey it's my 300th post.

I know baby stuff for some of you, but a major milestone for me.

party: party: 300th Postparty: party:

All babysteps are important!!!:woohoo:

Glad to talk to you on chat Erin. Nicer to see you posted.:woohoo: I think we will be on best behavior for awhile. :goodvibes

We do that rain dance all the time here. Now we can stop, though. It's still raining off and on. Between the creek that we live on flooding, and the one dog who refuses to potty outside when it rains, I don't need any more right now, thank you.

We took over two inches of rain from you last night. :rolleyes1 We could still use more.:thumbsup2 Send it my way.:goodvibes I like green grass instead of burnt brown.:rolleyes1

So who is around now?

Just the quiet one me.:rotfl2:

I thought I asked you to come to our meet in Dallas a couple months ago? :confused3 Aren't you the one that said you lived a couple hours away and could not come? Am I thinking of someone else?
There are a good number of Texans on this cruise.
