VERO BEACH Information & Adoration Thread

Just finished our first VB stay. I was a little nervous because I didn’t know what to expect, but we had a wonderful time in spite of two days of rain. I had requested high floor, best available view, but the CM I talked to wasn’t sure anything good would still be available. Lo and behold, and lots of Pixie Dust, we were on the 3rd floor of Bldg 15 with a straight-on ocean view!! It could not have been any better and we even watched the sunrise from our balcony. We were in a studio, so small room, but plenty big enough for the two of us. I would have been happy with a closet if it had that view

All CMs were amazing, pool was small but still plenty of room, tons of pool chairs, so always a place to sit. Green Cabin Room was great! Participated in Trivia, Name that tune, and did the bourbon mixology class which was awesome. The bartenders there were terrific and got to know the frequent flyers pretty quickly 😉. Patio was closed for refurbishment until our last night, but we were able to enjoy it at least that one time.

Wind and Waves for dinner, and although it gets mixed reviews, we had a great meal there with a terrific server. We were seated right next to the open kitchen, and a couple of the chefs were conversing with us towards the end of the meal. Beach was beautiful for walking, but I’m more of a pool girl, so didn’t rent chairs. Saw a few turtles swimming offshore, and there were 4 nests cordoned off. Pleasantly surprised that nothing is far away here. It was still only a two minute walk to the pool from Bldg 15.

Only one negative for me: Wind and Waves market is a chaotic mess during busy meal times. The area is too small with no rhyme or reason for where to line up to order, or wait for your food to be ready. Needs a much better flow.

We enjoyed our stay, even though the first 2 days were a little rough with weather. There’s not a lot to do here on a good day, so rainy is even less. They do a good job with adult resort activities, but many are extra $$.

Would we go again? Now that we know what to expect, yes we definitely would go back if a relaxing beach/sun/pool vacation was what we were looking for. It was a beautiful little resort and I’m glad we tried it out!

Happy to answer any questions!

It is amazing how many chairs they do have at the pool and they don’t seem to be completely on top of each other either

Hello,
we are coming to VB for a quick 1 night stay after a cruise and before a WDW Trip :-)

We want to make the most out of the day we can. We will arrive arround 10am in the morning.

Last time we visited Vero we bring our own chairs and umbrella, but for only 1 day at the beach we want to rent the chairs from vero.
do you think we will get a set of chairs and umbrella at maybe 10-11 am on a friday?

Or is it possible to reserve them ahead of time ? so before we arrive at the resort?

Thanks

Oliver

I don’t think you can reserve ahead - maybe you can?

I think you should be able to get them.

Hello everyone .

I am taking my wife , daughter and mom to vero beach in late October for 5 days. We have had a rough year as a family so I thought a relaxing trip would be good for everyone especially mom.

I know vero beach is a smalller town but I rented a car just to give us the option of doing some day tips. Can anyone recommend places they would go? Or would you do something like stay the day at the resort and then head out for dinner every night ? Any advice would be appreciated . Thanks .

Hi all! I’m bringing my kids down in early August for a few days. It’s our first visit to Vero Beach. My plan is currently to get a taxi/Uber/Lyft from the airport to the resort and spend most of our time on the beach, with taxi etc rides out for dinner. Will this work? I really don’t want to rent a car.

You are 1.5 to 2 hours from MCO and restaurants aren’t exactly close by. We do a lot of dining in Sebastian which is about 15 minutes away.
IMO you are going to need a car.

We’re flying in to Vero Beach.
You can make that work if your desire is to never leave the hotel. They have a quick service and full service restaurant. You can also do Publix ordering to your room as well.

Otherwise, you will need to Uber everywhere you go.

The airport is probably about 20-25 minutes from the hotel and very small. Depending on arrival or departure time you could have a bite at CJ Cannons in the airport. The views are amazing.

Enjoy your trip.

Thanks folks! I figure one night we’ll eat at the resort, another take an uber into town, and the third? We’ll see how it goes! I will absolutely avoid bad pizza and look for sea turtle nests!
Mostly, though, I’m looking forward to “beach, pool, eat, repeat.”

Hi. Does anyone have the latest activity calendar?

We are looking forward to our stay in a few weeks. I am hoping our breakfast at W&W is as amazing as it was a few years ago.
